When is someone or something gone to do something about....i am beyond annoyed...so i cant even write an eloquent or constructive criticism.... I hate the character of Papi... The girl is talented i don't doubt that, but she doesn't pull the though diva Latina HoTTness and the sexscene between alice and papi plain sucked suked (not in the good way)

And didn't anybody think about asking Iyari Limon or MIchelle Rodriguez for the part of Papi....Cause we all know, Michelle is PAPI.....ay que si oiga, Boricua and Dominicana.
I agree im not really liking the whole papi diva character...and that name...dad..whats that all about..i dont get the writers sometimes..Michelle Rodriguez would have been perfect..she is papi..yeah for sure michelle should have done that part. She is hott too and boricua like me thats the best part.
I didn't think I would like her, and at first I didn't. But after the game, I dunno, something about her clicked with me. It will still take some time to get used to her but I like her just fine.
i think a could get used to her too - but I don't really see the point why i should? the whole 'centre of the universe'-thing (or chart) was nice and somewhat interesting until they found her but after that she kind of lost all meaning to me; they didn't use the mystery they had established for anything after that, she was introduced as a 'womaneater' and that's all she has been ever since. for some reason all i can see in papi is some sort of plot device for the character development of others - like shane: doesn't care about her 'competition', doesn't seem to be hooking up with every girl she meets anymore, is becoming a caring sister. that's a huge step for her and having papi there as a contrast helps to underline that development (and shane's coolness in all of it).
but that's about it. most of the other scenes with papi where either about her getting all the girls (boring...) or providing a basis for group scenes with the core group (basketball...) - which i absolutely love and would like to see more of, but there are other ways to bring them all together (although the writers seem to have forgot about that).
what else could they use papi for? who could they pair her with? i can't see a convincing pairing with anyone who's on the show right now. and i really don't want anyone to fall for her. at least not more than once...
so: even though i could get used to her, i don't need her on the show and would rather see her go soon.
(which is probably not going to happen since she is in the opening credits now)
Does anybody like Papi? I really like Papi. She's beautiful. I get excited every time she has a scene. The sex scene in the back of the limo between her and Alice was steamy, sexy, and funny at the same time. Talent. I understand what everyone is saying with the whole trying to be Latina thing. But I think Janina Gavankar pulls it off ok considering. Papi is loyal to her friends. She's not exactly the love em and leave em type like Shane. She really becomes friends with her lovers. Can anyone give Papi some love?
No I can not give Papi any love. I don't doubt Janina's acting skills, she seems to be doing the best she can with what they give her. But they're not giving her much. Her lines tend to be immature and unimaginative. The character is not written very well. She has no depth, and could not carry a storyline on her own. The writers haven't really given Papi much room to grow. We know nothing about her except that she sleeps with alot of women. They push the whole latin version of Shane thing too much, especially since it doen't seem like Shane cares. Papi's character just seems to be a group of latin stereotypes grouped into Janina's lovely body. The writers should really do more research into the world of minority lesbians.
To Janina I give much love, but to Papi, you gets nothing.
okok i know that most find the character very annoying, shallow and unrealistic but I just have to say that I love her hair styles and those fly hats. come on ladies, no one agrees?
the hair, its totally hot to me and i like her smile a lot too, some of her jokes and the way she says some lines are kool.

I think Papi is halarious! They should have given her more to do, like in her first few episodes. That thing with Kit was...not for me... I think Janina did an awesome job and her character was not what I expected actually. She was also 'overhyped' about being like shane which made ppl expect the wrong thing. I thought she was one of the best things about the season, and I'm sorry that she won't be back:(

I did not really like Papi in the first few episodes; but later on my perspective about this Papi character changed. She's not too bad at all.
Just that I thought the meaning of "Papi" was a little funny. "Dad" ... Wth.
