your favourite accents?

Scottish? How cool! I love RP British accents, definitely my number one. And then French, although depending on the person speaking, it could sound pretty ridiculous. Middle eastern accents also fascinate me. Indian is fun... I'm all over the place, really!

I think I said it all in the line above. Lol.

But I do find women with (any) accents attractive.

Rachel Shelley and Andrey Tautou. Well they attract me to watch any movies they're in because I wouldn't mind hearing them speak..AT ALL..I'll willingly sit through it even if it was SUPER long. Well that and the fact that they're both very attractive.

Everince I saw Amelie, Audrey gave me the French fever. I seriously started to learn the language on my own.

But I would be partial to whichever accent someone I loved had. Hearing people with the same accent as her would perk my ears right up!

Well, I think that accents are sexy in general. I like the British and Australian accent. And in Spanish, it's got to be the one from Spain. It has something that makes it completely hot and irresistible to me.

are hard to resist....

and a woman who speaks to me in Spanish with an accent from Argentina, is, well, inexplicably delicious.

I really love all accents that I've heard except for the US Southern accent. I also don't find the Massachusetts accent particularly attractive, but I don't dislike it. I really love the British accent, but I don't want to generalize, so I'll just say I could listen to Lena Headey all day and not get sick of her.

I love any accent! but the ones that have got me drooling are the British (irresistible!), Scottish and South African accent!. Southern accent is cute too, just a slight bit. 

People say I have an accent...I dont know how o_O . Is there a particular californian beach girl accent?  hahaha. Ive been told is sexy  haha, what a weird fetish really but who am I to speak :D

i am obsessed with australian accents although british is a close second. hopefully i'll get to visit either country one day!

Omg i love any accents.. seriously.. probably Canadian accents are my Favourite or any sort of American accents.. too hard to pick! i love them all!!

i absolutely melt for anyone with a British, Kiwi, Aussie, or South African accent. like Rachel Shelley or Lena Headey, i could listen to the two of them talk for DAYS and never get tired, EVER! and ditto w/ the above post Penelope Cruz's accent is AMAZING too. not that i'm discriminating at all, pretty much any accent is guaranteed to make me go week in the knees :]

It's not surprising to me at all that most people here just adore the British accent and despise the southern or boston accent. having studied linguistics, I'm pretty sure it has to do with class and a deep abiding prejudice. The British accent(although there are many-but precisely the upper class accent) is considered to be proper and intelligent sounding. However, all Southerners are pronounced dumb just because of their accent. Have you noticed this ? In tv, movies, etc. the dumb character is always the one with the southern accent. That's the one thing that's OK to make fun of. They even did it on Will and Grace. Said Grace : " I don't care if you're an astronaut. If you're from the South, you just sound dumb." Even though I'm a yankee, having studied languages and ethnicities, I appreciate all accents. Personally, I am not a fan of the upper class posh Brit. accent because it sounds stuffy, distant and overbearing whereas the southern accent is welcoming, hospitable, down to earth and warm. The working class and Cockney accent in Britain is endearing as well. I would say my favorite is the Irish accent- very, very pretty.

I suppose my pathetic west coast usa accent isn't hot. *tear*

well I'm Puertorican and I love Spanish accent, Argentinean... and from the English speaking people well... English, Scottish and some Australian...

wow, i started quite a varied thread.  altho i have to say i dont have the "posh" british accent, its mostly associated with london anways.

i wasnt even aware that i had an accent until i moved north to go to uni and people couldnt really understand me...

 

i like the american accent to altho i have to say i find the bostonian and texan acccent a bit annoying.
