Top 10 Reasons anti-gay crusaders are morons.

This is my personal, unorthodox listing of the top 10 reasons why I think anti-gay marriage advocates - are morons. I'm not writing this just to bitch and complain about my opposers, this is my conclusion after lots of reading, watching and listening to the conservative right. I've listened intently and asked many questions from religious crusaders to liberal homophobes.. And after listening civilly and respectively - I've inevitably been forced to come up with the top 10 idiotic excuses used against gay rights.

10) I'm a homophobe.

That itself makes you a moron. Whether it's a fear from being hit on by the same sex or it just grosses you out, homophobia is just the same form of hatred as despising someone for the color of their skin or the God they choose to pray to. In other words, you're an idiot. You can't construct legitimate reasons that stem from hatred. Nor can you create legislation over ridiculous logic. You can't point at a tree and yell (in the Lewis Black tone), "That's not a tree!! It's a fucking goat! Why?! Because I fucking said so! And all you mother fuckers will call it a goat too!" Many of these self-righteous assholes follow this logic by expecting everybody else to see life the way they see it and to live their lives by the book they choose to follow. It's a confusing logic that for some reason continues to govern America.  

9) Lesbians are cool! But I hate f*gs.

Here lies the ever so popular double standard that it's socially acceptable that a woman can sleep with a woman, but a man can not sleep with a man. A woman can walk down the street holding another woman's hand and kiss her and mayyybe they'll walk away with a few stares and a few offended bystanders. But two men walk down that same street doing the same exact thing, they're more prone to hear protests and be called hideous names. I'm not saying gay women do not experience homophobia, they most certainly do on a regular basis. But men do more severely and harshly simply because they're not fulfilling the image men are suppose to fill. And it's a sad, but true, double standard that two women can sleep together, but two men is an abomination.

8) I like Gays! I just don't want them to have the same rights as me..

In this category I've placed all liberals who don't mind homosexuality, but mind their rights. They may even have a few friends or acquaintances who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and the ever so few transgender. But when it comes to accepting America legitimizing gay rights, e.g. marriage and adopting children, they lose their collective shit… So you're saying you don't mind gay people, but just don't let them be treated equal. Separate, but equal. Yea, it's totally not the same thing as segregation. Way to set us back 60 years in civil liberties. Good work guys.  

7) Gays will ruin the sanctity of marriage.

 If America lets gays marry, then the sacredness, holiness, and intimacy of marriage between a man and a woman will be ruined. One question: What exactly is the current divorce rate? What is the main stereotypes of adultery? The husband leaves his loving wife for a much younger woman, right? The fact that it's a stereotype speaks volumes on "the holiness of marriage between a man and a woman." The images that the American marriage gives off today are the following: prenuptial agreements. Adultery. Divorce. Money. What exactly will two women marrying be ruining here? Let gays be as miserable as the rest of you..  

6) Oye Vey! Their kids will be tortured in society!

Adopting children is the second hot topic issue regarding gay rights. The children will be brutalized for having two mommies!! Reply conservative minds with weak souls. Their kids will be picked on in school. Yea, so are fat kids. So are children who are handicapped. Should we now ban adults from adopting handicaps and over weight children to spare them the embarrassment? Of course not. Before Americans go on a tangent for protecting children's minds from gay mommies.. Focus on more important issues like children who have one mommy who is a crack head or one daddy who likes to hit kids.  

5) Gay parents will molest their children.

Too many people like to think the reason a person is gay is because he was abused and/or molested as a child.. Therefore he will continue the cycle by abusing children just as he was. There are millions of people who have been molested, raped, or abused sometime in their lifetime you can't tell me that every single victim of such mistreatment is now a lesbian or gay male.. I happen to know too many straight males and females who have been abused sexually and are married, have children, and are, well, straight. I also know lesbians, gays and bisexuals who have never been abused. Just because a man prefers a man, doesn't make him a pedophile and it does not make him or her any more perverted than the average straight male who drools over young teenage girls. I mean come on America, seriously? And on that note… look at your priests!! You are practically preached about homophobia from the homosexuals themselves who like to sexually assault little children. If that's not the highest form of hypocrisy, then I don't know what is. If I ever do attend Church one day, I should wear my Ted Haggard t-shirt.

4) Gays can't procreate.

One of the excuses homophobes like to use is that gays and lesbians can't procreate.. One of the main points of marriage is to create a family, apparently.. Two red lights here. One, gays aren't going to procreate whether they're married or not. It's not like if they don't get married that they're magically going to have 6 kids. Which brings me to my next point: infertile straight couples. Should they not be able to marry now also? Should we ban a sterile couple from marrying because they can not procreate? To disallow gays from marrying because they can't bare children means banning sterile women and men from marrying also.. Right?

3) Gay marriage will mean legalizing polygamy.

I've heard the douche bag Bill O'Rielly not so long ago blurt this point out. I've heard many douche bags, such as O'Reilly, cry the same tune that "legalizing gay marriage will inevitably mean we'll have to legalize polygamy." And marriage to animals.. And marriage to staplers.. And marriage to cars… Back in the 60s it was a LAW in some states that interracial couples could not marry.. A black couldn't marry an Asian. A white couldn't marry a black. That was once a law in America and thought practical not too long ago. Well, they did away with those laws. I don't see polygamy legal now. I'm sure racists used the same logic: If we legalize blacks marrying whites then we'll have to legalize blacks marrying lamp posts.. If we give them THIS right then they'll want more.. Since the banning of that law, I don't see animals being wed to men. I don't see children being wed to old men… Also on that subject, to legalize polygamy, to me, would mean creating plenty of arguments against future spouses divorcing over adultery. Lawyers will argue the husband didn't cheat on his wife, he only was legally doing what his neighbor Bill does with 6 other women. Basically creating a legalization for adultery and promiscuity in marriages. Another future argument would be if a man can marry man, than a man should be able to marry six other men.. And if a man can marry six other men, then a man should be able to marry a chicken. It's a ridiculous tactic anti-gay protesters use by creating elaborate and ridiculous "possible outcomes" if a woman can marry a woman.

2) Think of the children.

The children will grow up confused. If a girl has two mommies, then she will grow up thinking she must marry a girl one day too. Right? Wrong. First, homosexuality is not a choice, it's part of who you are. It's not bread. It's not trained. Do you see gays going door to door attempting to convince everyone else to join their lifestyle? No, they're not that self-righteous to the point of pushing their views on every single other person on the planet earth. It's a part of who you are - not a fucking hobby. If two mommies means the daughter will grow up thinking she has to love another girl, then what do we do about all of the single parent families? How many children grow up without a dad or without a mom. How many children grow up with no parents? If I'm following that logic against gays, then single parent children will grow up thinking that monogamy is wrong. The kid will grow up thinking she should never marry. And if a kid grows up with his grandmother or foster parent, then he'll think he'll have to give his kid up for adoption or send him to his grandmother's house.. We're all products of our environments, but homosexuality can not be achieved through higher powers or having gay influences in your life.

1) The bible says so.

Anybody whose anti-gay argument includes the words "bible" "God" "Jesus" or "religion" do us all a favor and punch them in the face. Then take a permanent marker and write on their forehead, "Separation of Church & State." I could get into the discrepancies of the bible with marriage and gays, but I'll leave it up to this superb article I read in Newsweek

To end, I'm not here to bash the homophobes of America simply just to hear myself speak... I wanted to write this to show how ridiculous I think arguments are that are used today against gays. I do believe this is the current civil rights movement of the millennium. It's no different than women not being able to vote because of her sex. It's no different than blacks not being able to go to the same schools as others because of the color of their skin. It's no different than blacks not being able to marry whites because they're black… And today, the current civil right movements stems from a woman not being able to marry another woman, because she's a woman..

Gays and gay supporters are currently fighting to end the laws that ban them from not having the same rights as every other America. It's only a matter of time before enough people wake up to the legal discrimination, the legal "separate but equal." The legal gay segregation. If any of these are the basis for the legal discrimination against gays, then the following should also be banned: single parent families, fat kids, handicaps, sterile couples from marrying, and anyone who is not a Christian.
