Ladies, Please Help!

Hello Ladies-

 I would like to ask all of you for some imput.  I have recently taken on a position at a GLBT Youth center, there are many angles and this project and the center are very new, and also the only one in town.  I live in a southwest TX border town, and resources for LGBT youth are VERY limited.  So, I have taken on a volunteer position several days a week as the Youth Project Coordinator.  I am working as a mentor and project coordinator for GLBT youth roughly ages 16-25, many of them minorities and severly underprivlaged, undereducated, etc.  My goal is to help them feel safe and connected within the community, and also help them with educational goals, independent living, etc.  I am in the process of researching what the kids are interested in, and what they are looking for in a GLBT center.  My question is this..for those of you who did not have these resources, what would have helped you feel safe, comfortable, motivated, excited, empowered(in terms of projects, expression, trips, films, music, art, education, clubs, entreprenurial projects, workshops, etc).  To those of you who are teens, please let me know what you would like to see more of in the young GLBT community.  Please throw out any ideas you may have on this subject, I am very appreciative of anny imput!!
