some of us have been doing conferences on yahoo, where a bunch of us can talk in a room like a chat, so if you'd like to join in sometime, because your sad and lonely and miss your gay robot friends... u have to have yahoo messengr to do this i think.and request me as a friend, i kno u want to anyways. anyone is welcome.

thanks for setting up the conference on yahoo...i'm definitely gonna try to get in on that. i've been having trouble with my account on here, so i'm in and out all the time.

It's not considered 'bothering' at all. Threads can get left for weeks without any new posts but feel free to post wherever, someone will answer you! :-)

When the chat rooms will be open? I miss them so much. I used to come to afterellen.com years ago and then i took a break, i'm back now and theres no bloody chat. I miss it so much i haven't been on it for years :(

I used to visit AE frequently in the past, but since the removal of the chat, i just pop in once a month to see if its been returned. It would be nice if someone would just let us know if its coming back or not.

With all due respect, "someone" has let everyone know if it's coming back or not - many times. Sarah - the owner of AfterEllen.com - has commented in a few chatroom-related threads saying it IS coming and is on the list of development issues they are addressing. Then she posted again last week (here), discussing the problems they've had with it and giving a tentative timeline for relaunch.

I understand you're frustrated but it's equally frustrating on her end, I'm sure - both in trying to get it to work and for no one bothering to read her comments or understand that these things take time to get right.
