Long or Short Fingernails

Helloooo everyone, hope you are having yourselves a most awesome day!! Being that I am not able to engage in any outdoor activity due to the amount of snowfall we received last night, I am stuck at home. =[ Soo here I am posting this topic. I do not remember where I heard this before, but it was the subject of discussion amongst my friends and I last night, "You can tell whether a female is single or not by merely noticing her fingernails: Long-Yes, Short- No" We all stared at our fingernails, and sure enough it held true. All of us who were single had long fingernails, the others had their shorts.

Curious to know what your input is on this subject matter. Does it hold true for you?

Im single and one week I will have short nails and the next I wil have long - seriously my nails grow as soon as I cut them, which was incredibly annoying when I was trying (yes sadly tried, and failed) to learn the guitar as my nails always got super long in no time and got in the way (grrr)

And right now I have extremely long nails.... and am extremely single :P

hmmm I would have say that for some reason I would have thought that it would be more likely the opposite of what you said - rather long nails means your taken and short nails means you are single.

ooooo If you know any more of these fun fortune type things do post them though as I love them :)

Lol I'm guessing that it's "short nails = in a couple" because having long nails might kinda... hurt sometimes lol if you see what I mean. I'm not saying that it does, and I know that some lesbians do keep their nails long, but anyway, I just think that is the idea behind this theory :P

But to answer the question: I always keep my nails short, and I'm single...

That was my first thought too. I don't wear my nails long, but they are kind of long right now... I hooked up the other night (I don't normally do random hook ups) and everytime I... well used a little too much force I felt like I scraped her. Yeah I cut my nails when I got home.

When I first heard this comment, that was my exact thought "long nails might kinda.. hurt sometimes" I do, for the most part, keep them short when I am in fact in a relationship. To each her own though.. whatever feels most comfortable to you is all that matters.

I always have mine short. When I was younger it was because I was VERY tomboyish(although I still am a tomboy, basically) plus I played sports and did lots of things where long nails would've just got in the way and be annoying. In general I just prefer them to be short.

Mine are short. Just got out of a relationship, and long nails don't help when playing the guitar...or the euphonium. I just don't see the practicality of long nails.

I keep mine short because well...playing bass with long nails just doesnt seem to cut it. And single on this end of...the...boat? Sure.

But then again look at Kaki King haha, shes got long nails on one hand and short on the other. Does that mean shes in and out of a relationship? xD

I have short finger nails, I like them short. I cannot stand them long because I do not like dirt, etc under my nails. I will pick the stuff under my nails if they are long enough and once that happens, I will cut them short. I am single.

I dont' think that's true. You have long nails if yo're not havin sex, and short nails if you are. I was in a relationship and had long nails cuz we weren't doin it. When I was single I had short nails just in case I got laid. I mean, if you're gettin it regularly then yuo're gonna keep your nails short, but if you're not, then I think your nails are kinda far from yuor mind, unless you look at them and think 'Goddamnit my nails are getting long! Well that's because I'm having no sex so it doesn't really matter.' lol

I have super wimpy nails! Which is unfortunate, considering I like the way they look long. Buuuuuut.... it helps to have them short for bedtime purposes ;)

well i like having my nails long because then i can get them done... but unfortunately i only get them done when i am single. I am currently taken and always have my nails short just for her... wouldnt want any accidents, now would we?

I used to always keep my nails long because they looked better that way, and then I was clued into necessity of keeping them short. So now I'm getting used to it, even though I'm single. Doesn't hurt to be prepared!

and im single! For good reasons though! (that they're short, not that im single)

They get in the way when i play guitar, if i keep them short dirt doesnt get under them (stupid dirt) and i paint my nails alot so if they're bright red and long i kinda look like a hooker...
