Whale wars

I was liking this series until I realized during the latest episode that the captain was a lying sack of shit. He claimed to have been shot by the Japanese whalers, but only realized it later while examining his bulletproof vest and seeing a hole and the only mark on him after being hit from 20 yards away was a pin prick supposedly from the backside of a badge he was wearing.

  My cousin is a Border Patrol agent who was shot with a  30-06 rifle from 100 yards away during a standoff. Despite his biulletproof vest stopping the bullet from killing him, the impact  still broke two of his ribs and left his entire left side black/green/blue for weeks.
