South America

I'm taking a trip to Aruba the end of Feb/beginning of Mar and was thinking of taking another week or so to travel around South America.  Has anyone been to Peru, Chile, or Argentina?  When I travel, I like to experience the culture and see what the country has to offer.  I love history and adventure, especially when surrounded by beautiful landscapes!  Any suggestions, tips, or information regarding any of the countries would be appreciated.  Thanks!
