Newfies Show Your Pride

So I live in St. John's, Newfoundland Canada, pretty far from anywhere the protests have been taking place. There are a few LGBT groups here, and I guess I've been waiting for them to stand up and do something. But I'm pretty tired of hearing about all the history being made and just sitting here waiting for something to happen. So I'm going to make it happen. Me and a friend of mine are planning a rally in St. John's, so far we're still just looking to see if there's actually anyone who'd come. Hey- just wondering if you're still going through with this?  I live in Newfoundland (Mount Pearl) and I'm kinda feeling like the only gay in the village at the moment, so a rally'd be amazing.

We are still doing it, just not as soon as we hoped. We think it's going to happen sometime in April, far away I know. But it needs to be when the weather's nice so people will come, and we need some time to plan it. We already have a lot of support from the Interact Club at our school, and they're helping us with sponsoring and advertising and stuff. It sounds pretty small right now, but we're gonna do as much as we can and see where we get with it. I mean we are only fifteen, there's a point when people stop paying attention to us just 'cause we're kids. But if you wanna see if you could do something, we need all the help we can get.

I'm Newfie as well, I used to live in Paradise and my parents are from an obsure place called St Albans...but now I'm living in England so I can't help you guys...good luck though!
