The Santa Clara Valley Health & Hospital System (SCVHHS) http://www.sccgov.org/portal/site/hhs/ EDIT: Hello Mouchette, Just wanted to let you know that the original source that listed Santa Clara Valley Health & Hospital System (SCVHHS) as an official supporter of Prop 8 is completely false and even contradictory. The site that originally propagated this false information has taken it down, but it’s already spread to many different web sources and blogs. So much so, that SCVHHS has issued an official media statement to the Associated Press (AP) that all web sites, blogs and other sources correct this bad information/ false rumor. Here is the link: http://cbs5.com/localwire/22.0.html?type=bcn&item=PROP-8-HOSPITAL-bagm-# Most importantly to note: SCVHHS is owned and operated by the County of Santa Clara. The County of Santa Clara as a larger entity is joining SF and LA in the legal lawsuit against Prop 8. Therefore, I kindly request that you edit your posting and remove Santa Clara Valley Health & Hospital System off your list as soon as possible. Other Blog sites such as evilbtch.com have already posted a correction. Thank you for your understanding and help.

WishIHadThat.com The this is not complete, there were a few that I could find no info on, you can see the list in full at www.protectmarriage.com. To find out what companies deserve your support, here are a few resources: 1. http://www.worldcat.org/oclc/62867391 - follow the link to WorldCat and it will tell you the library nearest you that has this book. 2. http://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/ - Type a name, address, city, zipcode, to see which presidential candidates your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors are contributing to. You can also use the search by employer option to see where the company you work for stands. Type your employer's name and hit search. Scroll down the results paying attention to addresses in your area. OR Check out your school to see what your professors have donated by typing your school's name into the employer box. I would like to point out ...
that most of the companies listed here ... in fact, I'd venture to say over 90% are all in "red county" locations.
Not that I'm defending them ... but part of voting is having one's own vocalized perspective. Your fervor to boycott these business and look up professors and their monetary contributions seems ... paranoid.
I can take you higher ...
Ooooohhh I'm on Fire.
It's a donor lookup tool
It's a donor lookup tool created by the huffington post, why is that paranoid? I mean if people care about boycotting ABC because they take off a lesbian character on a TV show, then maybe they would be interested in this info too?
Exactly. Homophobes boycott
Paranoia
I agree that its justified.
Okay I edited out some
Okay I edited out some sarcastic comments and anything indicating "fervor" and removed contact info so there won't be spam. But I would like to caution against underestimating the Yes on 8 campaign:
(from wikipedia)
Protectmarriage.com letter to Equality California donors
On October 22, a contributor who recently helped underwrite a San Diego event that raised money to defeat Proposition 8 received a letter from ProtectMarriage.com, proponents of Proposition 8, demanding a donation of at least $10,000. The letter requested that the recipient "withdraw its support of Equality California, the organization that is part of the campaign against Proposition 8, and threatened to publish the names of companies and organizations that supported Equality California but "chose not to donate in like manner to ProtectMarriage.com."

Another Business
Please BOYCOTT the following Supporters of Proposition 8:
Geneil VINES – MORmON
$2,000.00 donation EACH
They are the owners of:

Lets make this list easier:
Blacklist these people:
http://antigayblacklist.com
Also pass the list along!
The boycotting blacklist that has all the names, places and amounts people have donated towards "yes" on 8 is on file with the IRS & it is the right of the public to view such documents.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The artistic director at California’s largest nonprofit musical theater company resigned Wednesday amid protests over his donation to a campaign to ban gay marriage in the state.
Scott Eckern stepped down from his job at the California Musical Theater in Sacramento after some gay activists called for a theater boycott.
He said he is leaving "after prayerful consideration to protect the organization and to help the healing in the local theatergoing and creative community."
Eckern said he "chose to act upon my belief that the traditional definition of marriage should be preserved" but had no idea his contribution would generate such controversy. He said his sister is a lesbian in a domestic partnership, which he understands to carry the same legal rights as marriage.
I heard this on the radio and I was like, "SCORE one for the team!" The blacklist and boycotts do work.

yeah rachel...
i was just about to post that website. glad you did.
now, i'd like to see a similar list from Idaho, since that Mormon state put up the most money against "H8". i have relatives living there.

Its nice to know members of the LGBT community cant claim the "high ground" anymore, that
"Yes homophobic right wing individuals boycotted LGBT stores and business putting the businesses and thier employee's in financial danger many times over the years regardless of wether the individual employee's had family to support or we're gay themselves, but the LGBT community didn't do this to those who supported Prop 8"
is now out of our reach as something to be proud about.. it isnt "weakness" to not stoop to the tactics employed by those who only care about their own "right"(be it ideal or legal) and dont even consider those "innocent".
To those in the LGBT community, know that if any of these business "go down" or have to sack someone due to boycotting, understand that the price of your marriage and every other gay marrige whenever this occurs, isnt conscience brought anymore, its brought off the suffering of familys, of parents who may very well have voted against and children who have no idea about this sort of thing but still rely on thier parents paycheck.
Keep this in mind as the "fight" goes on, not just in Cali.
"weigh each of your words with care, for they will betray "you" and are by which you are weighed."

If they have the right, so do we.
If I find myself in California I wont give them my hard earned money. Not only did they vote…they also donated money to a cause that belittles another human being, to me that’s disgusting.
