News, Reviews & Commentary on Lesbian and Bisexual women in Entertainment and the Media

Lesbian/Bisexual characters on Australian television

Recently i've been thinking about Australian Television and the lack of Lesbian/Bisexual characters on Australian shows. There have/are only a few Lesbian/bisexual characters on Australian televison throughout the years or the ones we know that have lesbian subtext and we all wish that the writers would decide to write in Lesbian/Bisexual characters. I can only name a few shows that have Lesbian/Bisexual characters and the ones that have Lesbian subtext or the ones we wish had at least one lesbian/bisexual character, i'm just going to name the shows that have Lesbian/Bisexual characters/Lesbian subtext and if anybody can think of any other Australian shows.

Breakers - aired in 1998 - 1999 i didn't even know that this show existed until a couple months back, but than again i was just a kid in the 90's, of course it  wasn't on the air for long. it starred Louise Crawford(Lucy) and Gabriella Maselli(Kelly), you can watch the clips between Kelly and Lucy on youtube http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=RDTQ8YXExLU. Their relationship didn't seem to last that long, but it was good while it lasted. If your watching the clips like i was and you think that Kelly(Gabriella Maselli) looks familar, you've probably seen her in several commercials or other shows/movies like ads for Continental and that Harpic ad with the group of women who are visting the one who just had the baby, she was also in an episode of McLeods Daughters, Oh and the girl that Kelly tutors is Emily Perry (Zoe/Eve) from Home and Away.

Home and Away - Remember back in episodes 3880 -3954, i dont remember the exact year think it may have been 2005, Zoe McCallister/Eve Jacobson(Emily Perry, she also starred in Breakers) or better known as 'The Summer Bay Stalker'. Do you also remember Sarah Lewis aka Psycho Sarah, Before Eve became Zoe she was working as a nurse at a psychiatric institution when she broke all the rules by falling in love with a patient, "Psycho Sarah" who she helped escaped so she could avenge the death of a deceased boyfriend, Sarah Lewis died when Noah Lawson died, thats when Eve became Zoe wanting her revenge on the residents of Summer Bay. Since then there hasnt been any lesbian/bisexual characters. You can check out http://www.backtothebay.net and read episode summaries from when the show first started 20 years ago, watch episodes etc. or go to http://www.summerbayjournal.com

Out of the Blue - To be really honest i don't think it airs on Australian televison, but you can watch scenes with Peta and Poppy on youtube http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=mi9EsXwH4_g.

All Saints - Dr Charlotte Beaumont, need i say more, but it would be nice if she actually had a love life.

Neighbours - Apparently there is a Bisexual character, i don't watch the show, so i'm not sure.

Kick - Layla and Jackie, where did they meet: Fencing Practice. Layla is a Muslim-Australina who lives with her conservative family and is unenthusiastically engaged to be married to a man named Sharif. But when she falls in love with fellow-fencer Jackie, she has to choose between following her heart or making her family happy.you can watch clips between them on youtube. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=OrhuZthaV-8

Now the shows we wish had lesbians/bisexauls

McLeods Daughters - who doesnt like watching a group of women run a farm, getting dirty, wearing wife beaters and occasionally blowing things up, there was definately some chemistry between kate and Jodi, i can't forget Stevie or Clare or Tess.

Blue Heelers - Remember the days when Jo Parrish and Tess Gallagher were always at each others throats (that was before Jo was killed in the Station house bombing) now that i think about it there was something going on there. Or when Maggie Doyle graced the screen way before she was shot.

Rush - Don't know about anyone else, but i certaintly wish there was something going on between the three female characters, what's not hot about a woman wielding a gun, unless its pointed at you.

Thats all i can think of, anybody care to share, feel free.

EDIT: After some research into Lesbian/Bisexual characters on Aussie television i came across a few more Australian shows that had either a Lesbian or Bisexual character:

  • Water Rats
  • Stingers
  • A Secret Life of Us (according to my research it was very brief)
  • Last Man Standing (minor characters)
  • Prisoner (or as it was called when screened in the UK Prisoner: Cell Block H.)You can watch full episodes of this on youtube from the very beginning through to the final season http://au.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=D65619510200F3CB
  • Pacific Drive (I have confirmed that it did have a lesbian/bisexual character)

8 November Edit: i have recently discovered more shows with Lesbian/Bisexual characters on Australian televison:

  • Number 96
  • The Box
  • Skyways.(late 1970s, The lesbian character in this show was apparently wicked and i would rather not say how she died in the show)
  • Something to Sing About (the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Choir) and Positive Art (HIV/AIDS and its impact on gay culture)These two were documentarys.

12 March 2009 Edit: A lot of stuff is happening on Australian Televison, i mean wow, Home and Away, Out of The Blue - not sure what is happening there, Satisfaction is in its second season. If you want to know more about what's happening on Home and Away check out Karman's article.

27 March Edit: I should have mentioned in my last edit that Out of the blue airs sundays 5:30pm on Network 10. Home and Away airs 7:00pm on Channel 7 or if you can watch it on youtube http://www.youtube.com/Bunyip11

McLeods Daughters

I so wish they could have made Kate an Jodi more then just best friends because omg they were gorgeous together and would have made a fantastic couple!XD
I also think that it would be excellent if Grace was to go out with Ingrid.
Gosh even Taylor and Kate would have been excellent together. I wish Taylors character was gay that'd be awesomeXD

AND for Out Of The Blue, well I am dissapointed with how the Peta and Poppy Storyline turned out, because they seemed more like best friends then lesbian lovers. When you did see them on screen you never got to see them having intimate moments. Kinda dissapointing. And the other thing is that it hasnt even been aired on our TV yet. Although apparently it's supposed to come on our tv in like a few months but we'll see.

The Storyline between Layla and Jackie in KICK was excellent, the scenes with them together were great, and the fact that they ended up being together was awesome!XD
Layla is stunning, I wish I could find a princess charming like herXD

Lana in Neighbours was an awesome character, I loved her friendship with Sky, just a shame that she wasn't a permanent character, I would have loved to see her and Sky's friendship to develop. The end scene with her when she got into the Taxi was kinda sad. Bridget Neval is amazingXD

OMG Home And Away, haha now you've got me started. Zoe McAllister, OKAY, my god she was my favourite character, I loved that she was the "Summer Bay Stalker" it bought so much Drama into the show, was awesome, she caused a riot haha!! XD
I so wish though that we could have seen scenes between her and her "love" sarah.
They would have been HOT together!! am kinda peeved Sarah killed herself. and now I'm even more peeved that Zoe is now actually dead! I wish she'd come back and be all like "hahaha i'm still alive and I'm back for revenge" haha would be a crack up!XD
I think though that there is apparently going to be a same-sex kiss in Home And Away but dude I have no idea if this rumour is true, and if so I have no idea who these characters will be, I have my fingers crossed that it's gunna be Charlie, omg shes gorgeous so yeah i'm hoping she's like secretely bisexual or something hahahaXD

and for All Saints, well thats kinda dissapointing because the scenes with Charlotte and her female "lovers" havent been all that great. the thing with Bron well that was just a "one night" thing and we never saw them together intimately, (which i am happy about because i just don't really like Bron) then when Addy came into it in Season 6 that didn't last for long, and when they were going out when they had scenes together we didn't get to see them together for long, very dissapointing! then the whole Rhiannon Wilson thing was a huge riot (which i loved) petra yared is amazing and played Rhiannon brillantly I am just annoyed that her and Charlotte didnt get together cos they would have made an amazingly hot couple!XD BRING BACK RHIANNON I SAY!
HAHA. hmm..I'm kinda peeved with the recent Storylines with Dr. Beaumon, she's been kinda quite/boring lately I'm hoping that the writers will write in a sexy new nurse who will catch Charlottes eye and she'll be her new lover then her character wont be boring haha but I think *unfortunately* that probally wont happen, if not they'll prob end up breaking up then Beaumont will end up shacking up with a MALE which is what always seems to happen!!!

The rest of the shows you have named I dont think I have watched although I have read somewhere that Water Rats did have a lesbian character and the same with The Secret Life Of Us..just never watched them. and with RUSH I havent watched it but I've seen ads for it and i'm thinkin that I might watch it cos the chicks I have seen on that show are gorgeously hot!!XD

Have you been watching "The Mentalist" I dunno but I'm getting a Vibe from that Grace chick and the other woman with short hair (sorry forget her name) but yeah deff was gettin a vibe from them in the last episode I watched. I know this has nothing to do with Australian TV Shows but I just had to mention it cos I'm dying to know if anyone else is getting this vibe!! hahaXD cheers.

Zoe/Eve 'Summer Bay Stalker'

Josh West

Home and Away was exciting when Zoe/Eve was raising havoc and it doesnt hurt that she's hot.

X_Predictable_X's picture

omg

Damn right she's hot!! And I agree, the show was so exciting when she was in it causing a riot! haha, I wish the writers would bring her back, she was excllent! Her and Hayley were also quite hot, they shuld have got together haha;)
Amazon GFunk's picture

So right

You are so right Hayley (Bec Cartwright - Hewitt) was pretty hot, still is, her replacement when Bec left Home and Away was ok (Ella Scott Lynch). I wish the writers would bring back Zoe, i would probably start watching again, whats up with the show these days. I'm just gonna include pictures of my favourite girls of home and away (who i secretly wish were gay on the show)

I have to add this one of Jodi Gordon

X_Predictable_X's picture

oh wow

Jodi Gordan is gorgeous in those pics, and i'm not really a fan of her haha!
hmm yeah i wish Charlie was gay in the show, i'd be so happy, and rachel that wuld be great. haha yeah bec cartwright is hot, love her to bits, wish they'd bring her back into the show, but doubt that'l ever happen, and isnt she pregnant again or something?

and uhm her replacement that ella chick she wasnt that great..

sharni vinson is gorgeous, why she had to leave the show is crazy! same with matilda, although she got on my nerves at times, but her and cass would have gone cute together haha i seem to want every girl character in the show to be gay...haha my bad?:P

As pretty as Zoe/Eve was in

As pretty as Zoe/Eve was in Home and Away, I thought the story was a terrible portrayal of lesbians with the whole killer bisexual/lesbian theme.

I've got no idea why Australia these days seem so backwards with lesbian or bisexual characters being under represented. If I remember correctly, I think Australia was the first country in the world to have a female same-sex kiss (don't quote me on that though). Prisoner (Cell Block: H) was said to be well ahead of its time and contained many lesbian characters over the years. However I'm not entirely sure as I didn't watch it at the time as I wasn't born yet.

Haha yea, Neighbours has a bisexual character, Donna. She's with Ringo at the moment and they seem to be in love. She's a wonderful quirky character though, really enjoyable to watch. Since she's with Ringo at the moment, I doubt she's going to be in a relationship with a female anytime soon. This is Neighbours we're talking about and the last lesbian storyline they had with Lana and Sky, although portrayed quite well, had gotten quite a few complaints. I think they also had two very pretty but straight women kiss (Rosie and Pepper), for rating purposes I suppose.Oh almost forgot, they did have the mother of one character turn out to be a lesbian. She was a guest character only but it was handled quite well. She was only in a handful of episodes though.

That Ella chick that replaced Bec Cartwright, she's in All Saints now :D.She was a good actress in the wrong role in Home and Away I reckon. I can't be bother with Charlotte on All Saints anymore. She's kind of pushed into the background. I've got a little crush on Gabby though hehe. If you want to watch All Saints when Charlotte was actually cool, I think those episodes are being repeated at 2pm (althought not recently due to the Melbourne Cup).

Anyone here watch Packed to the Rafters? Am I just hopeful or do you reckon that that show will have a lesbian or bisexual character on it soon? It has tackled abortion, drugs and alcohol so far, so we know it doesn't shy away from discussing controversal issues. Plus the main female lead from Kick is on it. She's pretty. So is the other girl that plays Rachel. :P

And I don't think anyone mentioned Satisfaction yet, it's back for Season 2 on cable. I don't have cable so I don't really watch it but there's a lesbian character on that.

Amazon GFunk's picture

I know what you mean

Australia just doesnt seem to be getting anywhere with the Lesbian/Bisexual storylines, although Out of The Blue's lesbian relationship seems to be progressing with Peta and Poppy getting married, but i dont know if you can call it progress since you never really see them have an intimate moment with each other.

I don't watch Packed to Rafters, but you never know the writers of the show may write in a Lesbian character, we can only hope that the writers of Aussie television shows will see the light and suddenly think "I'm going to write a show and its going to have a lesbian who is the main character, heck the whole cast should be lesbians, it's not going to follow the theme of lesbians being killers, or wanting to have a child, nope its going to be different, it's going to be new, fresh and exciting, everybody has already seen how lesbians are portrayed as being killers, I'm going to portray them in a different light, show a different perspective, that Lesbian Killer thing is just so old" Damn that gives me an idea, we Lesbians here on AE from Australia should write our own scripts with lesbian storylines.

and just for you quorvo, heres a little something for you.

EDIT: I was just watching the newest video of Out of The Blue on youtube petapoppy and boy is it getting interesting.
quorvo's picture

Oh Gabby! Haha I think it's

Oh Gabby! Haha I think it's her husky voice that gets me.

I think I'll watch Out of the Blue when it comes on Aussie tv. I think they're putting it on at a really late timeslot during summer. So I'm patiently waiting. So their storyline is good since it's getting interesting? I sure hope so! But I'd probably have to wait a few months till they show that bit in Aus.

Totally agree with the bad clinche storylines for lesbians in Australia. I'm hoping some Aussie writer will come up with the ultimate story :D.

Have you seem UK's Bad Girls though? I reckon so far that's one of the best lesbian storylines told. Wish we had something like that to call our own. Some Spanish tv shows arn't doing so bad either. Youtube them, they have english subs! I just discovered those shows recently while procrastinating from studying, I'm so slow but so glad I found them. Kick's Layla and Jackie were pretty cool though. Layla's so pretty lol.

Actually, I think most Aussie girls are pretty.

Amazon GFunk's picture

Gabby - All Saints

I'm with you on Gabby from All Saints. Kate (Alexandra Davis) she was a paramedic, her voice got me and i agree that most Aussie girls are pretty.

Quorvo since Gabby seems to be a favourite of yours, here is a few of her in action here you go:

Exciting News for Australian Televison

Out of The Blue airs next Monday on Australian televison, not sure what time or channel, but i will that find that out. This is only the first season of the show and if OOTB does well in Australia they will hopefully be back for a second season, i'm hoping it does well, i have been watching the scenes between Peta and Poppy the lesbian couple that have been posted on youtube, sure they seem more like friends than lovers in the first few episodes, but it gets way better from what i've seen and more interesting and exciting.

So please please please watch OOTB, its not every day that we see Lesbians or Bisexuals on Australian televison, heres hoping it will do well.

EDIT: OOTB Airs on Channel Ten at 10:30pm on Monday 17th November

hypothesis's picture

Rush

Rush has a bisexual character, Stella. It's on her bio on the site, and she kissed her girlfriend/ex-girlfriend in a previous episode, although it hasn't been explored any further. Maybe it will though now, since they just killed off a character.

http://ten.com.au/rush-characters.html

I vaguely remember the bisexual character on Stingers - it was Chris (Jacinta Stapleton), but I think she had about two kisses in the whole time she was on the show.

Secret Life of Us was actually a pretty good storyline. One of the regulars, Miranda (Abi Tucker) became involved with a woman, in season 2 or 3. It was sweet and very realistic as far as a remember. Abi Tucker left the show but her girlfriend Chloe (Nina Lui) stayed on until the series was cancelled I think. I stopped watching when Abi Tucker left :P

Amazon GFunk's picture

Rush

Who did they kill off in Rush, i didnt watch Tuesday's episode, but i saw the episode before that, when Grace collapsed and the bombs in the carpark went off, it wasn't Grace was it? cause she is like my favourite character. I hope they explore the Bisexual storyline, ooh even better Stella and Grace together or Stella and that really Bossy woman who apparently is the boss.

Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend - Martin Luther King Jr

hypothesis's picture

Rush

They killed off Grace (I think Claire van der Boom got a green card to try her luck in the states). I have mixed feelings about this - I liked her in the beginning until she got involved with Josh. She'd never hook up with Stella though, Grace was far too straight-laced! Yeah I like Kerry, but I have a feeling they're hinting at her and Lawson hooking up. I think if Stella has a relationship it'll be with Michael (I hope I'm wrong though) because they're always flirty. i hope she gets another girlfriend though :D
quorvo's picture

Poor Claire though, finding an acting job only for them to kill your character. Hope she does well overseas. I don't watch Rush so I don't know what's happening with the bisexual character, I don't even know which one she is hehe.

Damn they killed off Grace, what was wrong with her why did she collapse, Ladies dont forget to watch OUT OF THE BLUE tonight 10:30pm Network 10

Neighbours

On todays episode of Neighbours, Rachel asked her friends if they thought Tanya (this rock band manager) was really that hot. All the teenage boys agreed but Donna was nodding 'yes' as well, her face pretty much lit up. I love her character!

Nothing's going to happen (since she has a bf atm) but I just thought it was nice continuity and the fact that they didn't drop Donna's bisexuality was nice.

Amazon GFunk's picture

Neighbours

I don't really watch Neighbours but every now and than i'll watch it, its great they didnt drop her storyline we need more Lesbian/Bisexual storylines on Australian televison.

Did anybody catch Good News week on Monday, Ruby Rose was on and the host asked her what her idea of heaven is and Ruby simply said 'Angelina Jolie'. it was great.

I noticed the laugh at the veronicas comment too, she does seem really cool and it doesnt hurt that shes stunning..

Im actually really getting into Out of the Blue, from what iv seen on youtube Peta and Poppy seem to be a positive couple. They havent been exploited yet and there storylines seem to be constant and stable which is nice to see.

I watch the show every night at 10:30 and hopeeee they keep showing it, although i do agree with it being to short- maybe they should play two episodes back to back.

Any idea if the shows continuing in the UK? Iv seen every part on the PetaPoppy youtube channel and am really excited to see what happens next, so any idea if the shows been picked up for another season?

Out Of the Blue

I must confess that i only watched the first episode of the show, i watched it tonight as well. I think it will only get picked up for another season if it does well here in Aus and than they are going to think about doing another season, but from the rumours that i have heard Daisy Betts (Peta) has apparently agreed to do some movie or something like that - i'll do some digging and see what i can unearth for you on the matter of a second season or the rumour. Also according to my research on IMDB on Daisy Betts she starred in Sea Patrol.

My favourite line on tonights episode of Out Of the Blue was when Poppy's reply when Peta said: "I think your mum forgot to mention something to your Nan'' i laughed when Poppy said: ''Maybe it didnt fit on the postcard" i laughed again when Poppy went in to tell her Nan that she is a lesbian serious matter yes, but the way she threw it into the conversation.

But to see her was to love her, love but her and love forever - Robert Burns

Zara0711's picture

I really do hope it does

I really do hope it does get picked up, we have bascially next to no 'real' or 'decent' lesbian characters on our screens and these two give me hope. Thanks ill do some digging too :)

That line was soooooo cute, love love love her character.

Amazon GFunk's picture

So far

My fact finding mission has not been going to plan, but i'm going to keep digging to see about a second season for out of the blue.

Thanks for the links

Thanks for the links Zara, i wonder how many people in Australia are watching Out of the Blue. i was on wikipedia tonight and this is what caught my eye  The network was looking at an early evening slot, but due to classification and content limitations, Network Ten had to run with a later timeslot. It's classified 'G' or 'PG' so what content is there that is limiting?

I hope a lot of people are watching it, i've tried to look for the ratings on the episodes but havent been able to find them. If there high enough or at least decent we should have a shot at keeping the show on.

Im watching it right now :)

Charlie on Home and Away

I haven't seen it, what's the character like?

Did anyone see All Saints? Actually I think it's just finishing. If they're hinting at a relationship between Charlotte and the new nurse/doctor/whatever he is... bleh.

Thanks Hypothesis

Thanks for the link, hopefully the Daily Telegraph has gotten its information correct and if so i will be tuning into Home and Away next year to see how they play out the storyline.

Satisfaction

It's on Foxtel Showcase.

Heather is a lesbian who is also a sex worker...it's pretty racey type of show...though don't get to excited apparently Heather starts to question her sexuality and thinks she might not be gay...which is a stupid idea!

Satisfaction

Is that any good? We sell out of the first season at my work within a day of getting it in, so it's obviously popular. Is it worth checking out or not?
Amazon GFunk's picture

Satisfaction

From what i have seen of this show, it seems to be good, a couple of months back i watched a few clips of the first season on youtube, and it looks alright, but i guess everyone has there own opinion, i'd say check it out form your own opinion and go from there.

It's good for an Australian show, high production values and the writting is good.

I havent seen much of the Second Series mostly coz I forget it's on, so if I end up watching it I'll let you all know if it's worth watching and see where Heather's story goes

Charlie

Hmm... I'd love to see Esther Anderson play gay on Home and Away but I'm dubious as to how reliable the Daily Telegraph is as a source. They didn't even get her character's name right - it's Charlie Buckton, not Buxton. Tut tut!

If it's true though and they take her character down the gay route, I hope they do it right! Like, does anyone else hate Freya with a fiery passion? How typical for a bisexual character to be portrayed as oversexed and promiscuous. Especially last week when she kissed Nicole in front of the whole school and the camera cut to Geoff's amazed expression. Typical objectification of the female for the pleasure of the male gaze. Bah!

- My mother made me a homosexual.

- If I send her the wool, will she make me one?

quorvo's picture

HAA spoilers

I don't reckon Freya was bisexual (was it said on the show?), she's more of an attention seeker. She was trying to get Xavier's attention with that kiss right? I'm glad she's gone.

I too would love to see Charlie in a same-sex relationship. I've gathered some spoilers relating to Charlie and new character Joey who I think is a lesbian. Things haven't actually been good for her though, she got raped in recent episodes. She hasn't been in the show for long but I'm really liking her character (plus the actor was in Blue Water High and I really liked that show way back then).

So anyway, Spoiler Warning!

9 March Aden tells Belle about Joey. Aden & Belle are frustrated that Joey won’t go to the police.

12 March Aden discovers Joey's secret.

13 March Charlie tries to persuade Joey to press charges.

19 March An investigation into Robbo leads Joey to a disatrous coming out to her brother.

20 March Joey discovers the root of VJ's bad behaviour.

26 March Charlie is surprised at her reaction to Joey and Hugo talking.

27 March Charlie is confused about her feelings for Joey.

Joey looks heaps younger than Charlie though. Then again, I reckon if they were in a relationship Joey would be the more mature since Charlie has no previous same-sex relationships (and I think Joey would have) so that might be interesting to watch.

oscartg's picture

Eww

I really like the Charlie these days but I do not like Joey, she's a whinying little brat and the thought of Charlie being into her is frankly ridiclous. Unless she has some sort personality transplant in the next few weeks I won't be able to find the Charlie/Joey stuff believeable. They should have got Charlie together with Constable Watson or something. I think its all a plan to make Charlie look stupid and incomptent when it comes time to investigate Joey's rape case.

Also yes Joey looks about 12 year old and fugly. I do not approve of this idea at all. I would have even prefered them getting Charlie and Cart-Horse Martha together instead and you all know my feelings towards Martha.

eve_jig_it's picture

Charlie and Martha...

that would be yum....even though Martha's character is getting on my nerves at the moment.

Home and Away

This article seems to confirm those spoilers put up by quorvo - http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,25168796-5006022,00.html

I don't actually watch Home and Away, so I've got no idea who this Joey character is :P Anyone have any photos? Oh nevermind - she was in Blue Water High, I've seen her before. That does make her kinda young though... but apart from Home and Away we're prety light on lesbian characters in Aussie tv atm, how sad that a soap is our only source.

quorvo's picture

Here's a photo of them both

Here's a photo of them both from the offical site.

http://au.tv.yahoo.com/home-and-away/features/article/-/article/5383482/...

I think on the sneak peak video you can see Joey asking Nicole out and I must admit she does look awfully young when she was doing that (since Nicole's dad is Charlie's ex as well). Frankly I don't really mind/care about the age difference and I think the whole cop/victim thing would be more of a problem.

oscartg's picture

Incestous

Yeah if Joey and Nicole become friends she would like be dating her bestfriends dad's ex. I know they have said that Roman is a young dad and he was a bit older than Charlie but its still really weird.

Home and Away

When i started this thread i didnt think that it would get as many comments as it has, i think i may have to update it, since Out of The Blue has changed times and various other lesbian/bisexual things are occuring on our screens.

I used to watch H&A all the time, now i'm just not that interested in it, i don't know if this Charlie/Joey relationship will suck me back into the world of Home and Away or not.

Home and Away is kind of predictable, every year it seems like someone dies, a stalker will show up in the bay on occasion seeking revenge on one of the residents, someone gets hurt, someone finds out they are pregnant or can't get pregnant, someone either turns to drugs or alcohol, someone leaves the bay, someone ends up in prison, the list goes on.

Tonight on Home and Away, Joey was in the middle of making her statement and said to Charlie that she wasn't doing it for herself she was doing it for Charlie.

I know i said in earlier post that i wasn't interested in Home and Away, but i figured i might as well see what direction they are going to take with their relationship.

I'll keep an eye on it

and watch it when I get the chance, I'm also curious to see what happens. Esther Anderson is hot, so that's a bonus :D

H&A

I never noticed before in previous episodes of home and away that Esther Anderson is really attractive. Tonight's scenes with Joey and Charlie were so sweet, the way Joey jumped down her brother's throat for telling Charlie off was good to see, don't like Joey's brother though.

I kinda like the way Joey and Charlie's relationship is headed so far.

I thought Charlotte on All

I thought Charlotte on All Saints was "straight" now? I was sure I watched it once a few months ago and she had a husband or something. I always thought that was ridiculous.
I agree though, the old All Saints that are on during the day are so much better than the new ones.
