mh, well maybe I have 2 write a bit more...

I'm neither an obsessed fan nor am I looking 4 headlines or the plot of an article or whatever causes uncertainty. and I'm not looking 4 an easy way into that biz...

I sure know that this is maybe not the right forum 4 this - but there r 16743 registered users here ([color=darkred:b00411da3f]which is amazing by the way ! Sarah W. you rock ![/color:b00411da3f]) and it seems almost impossible that there isn't a single one who has the same serious passion on filmmaking like I have...meaning not just consuming (which is fine but never satisfied me) but creating.

I'm just a "starter-pack" right now but I'm working on that. :D but it would be so great 2 get 2 know more and more people who share the same passion and to meet people who don't think that it's all just daydreaming.

well, that's it 4 now...

drop me a line - feel free 2 write me a pm... I would be delighted. 8)

makes me think....

...I won't have the luck to get to know women working in that biz via this site.

 - except one: you know who you are. :) -

but to those who browse through this site and work in that biz: keep up the good work and enjoy what you are doing. 8)

I've been in the "business" to some degree for about a decade. After my schooling in NYC and learning the ropes in LA, I headed back to Texas on a "different road"....advertising. I am now part of the evil empire in hawking food, cars, and the like...but I try to make it as honest of a living as possible, and find the few moments I can to continue my screenwriting and viewing of great films and tv.

film biz: anyone?

Hi,

I'm just curious - is there anybody (or do you know anybody) from Europe who is working in L.A. in the TV&Film Industry?
I've been in the entertainment industry for about 6 years now. Working as an Assitant Director, Editor and Visual Mixer. Someday I'd like to work (maybe for a year or two) in L.A. But I think it's even harder if you're not on a residence level, speaking of visas.

Another question, is there some kind of "gay-network" in the industry? We do have it here - you know, no offical one... but you know each other and kinda support each other - except for the ones you slept with :) just kidding.

Thanks for reading - and maybe answering... :)

I'm writing a screenplay, but I wouldn't exactly call that being in 'the biz' until I sell one!! I was a runner-up winner in an international short screenplay competition - that's the nearest I've got.

Still, I write more as a hobby than anything, so as long as I feel some sense of satisfaction & enjoyment in the writing process, then I'm happy to carry on even if it never culminates into any tangible result. :D

If you're looking for lesbians in "the biz," try Power Up. Here's a link to their website.
