East Coast girlHi! I grew up on the East Coast, mostly outside Philadelphia, lived in California for a while and just moved back to the Philly area. I'd love to meet people out here or if anyone has any advice for where I can meet lesbians that'd be great! It's kind of a culture shock moving from the gay/lesbian mecca of San Francisco to suburban PA! Help!

hi!
hello :)
I may someday - I loved living in CA! :)
if you don't mind my asking,
what took you back to the east coast?
it's complicated
aw :(
sorry to hear about the relationship not working out. at least you are home and with your family. i miss my family; they are about 2,500 miles away.
san francisco is pretty tough to beat as far as the gay scene goes, no matter where you go. have you found anything in PA? i will be up in sf next weekend.
lucky!
they must be somewhere around there
the lesbians all moved to sf and berkeley ;) haha j/k. hopefully there are a few hangouts in the area where they are hiding.
where were your favorite places to go in sf?
my home is 2,500 miles the other way - west - from california. think beaches, pineapples, volcano, aloha, etc. :)
that is so sweet!
Hawaii?! So cool! I've only ever been there once, but absolutely loved it! My favorite animals are sea turtles (strange, I know) and I got to see them for the first time in the wild when I visited - it was amazing! I didn't get to swim with them though, which I would love to do someday.
SF...well, what do you like? Are you looking for lesbian hangouts or just cool places in general? I have recommendations for both! :)
:)
yes, i'm from hawaii. which island(s) did you visit? sea turtles are really cool. i've seen them at the beach.
as for sf, it would be great to get ideas for lesbian hangouts and cool places to go. whenever i go there, it's so overwhelming because there are so many neighborhoods, cafes, shops and restaurants to choose from.
well...
K, so here are some my favorites, but you're right there are tons of sweet places to check out...Breakfast - squat and gobble and dolores park cafe, sushi - baracuda, off the beaten path - roadside bbq (amazing southern style cooking, it's in the richmond district, but definitely worth the drive!). Bars, I would check out lime - trendy but fun, the lex - all lesbians all the time, and my fav vesuvio's in north beach.
If you like the outdoors check out golden gate park, so beautiful! Great disc golf course! The park beach chalet is down by the beach is has great beer and food. There always seems to be fun events going on, so I would just google that b4 you head there.
Hope that was helpful! :)
thanks!
those sound like great suggestions. i'll see what i can fit into one weekend. my friend up there is straight, but she's a good sport about coming along to gay bars. :)
do you remember that cheesy movie "down to you" or something like that (freddie prinze, jr.)? there is this scene where they are pretty much right next to the golden gate bridge and the water. i'm wondering how to get down there. that would be cool as well.
have you been to the muir woods? i think they might be north of sf. i heard it was really pretty.
Sisters
thanks!
