Hey from England

So I've been a lurker for ages, and decided to actually register a few days ago.

I'm Holly, I'm from the south of England. I'm 21 and in my fourth and final year at university. I do Model Design and Special Effects, and yes, it is as awesome as it sounds. I get to build props for movies, and make prototype toys, anything I want to really.

I like all sorts of things. I love making jewellery, my mum owns a bead shop that is totally awesome. I love my films and music and making models obviously. I say 'awesome' way too much, and am a really good cook.

That'll probably do for now, if anyone wants to chat, the internet is my crack, so I'm online a lot, send me a message.

Cooking is very therapeutic for me. I do it as much as I can, you just need practise. I remember when my culinary skills existed of beans on toast and microwave meals.

I actually hate using the oven. It's useful for some things, but I like to see what I'm cooking, so I use the hob much more. I can show off my flipping skills and pretend to look like I know what I'm doing

What food do you like? I'm sure I can arrange something ;)

hmmmm im a bit common really so nothing fancy so it would be pizza. i eat mostly anythin but im not a curry fan or ought spicy.

I love pancakes. My housemates and I put food colouring in the batter once, pink pancakes don't look as appetizing as you would think. I love spicy food. One of my favourite things to cook are chilli and lime chicken kebabs, they are gorgeous.

Final year at uni sucks, I have no time. I haven't even been out clubbing since I've been back, and I need my fix of hot women.

Congrats on joining. Glad to hear you can cook. I certainly can't, but I'm learning. I used to live west of Cambridge when I was younger. I'm back in America now, but I do miss England.

My father's job brought us to England and we lived there for 3 years. He worked as a contractor for NATO. I don't much mind the rain. I thought England was awesome. I really miss the public transportation, the cities, and the history (I'm a bit of nerd).

Hi I'm in Brighton in my fourth and final year at Sussex University studying American Studies and Film. How easy did you find it getting a job in a film production company as thats the sort of thing I wanna do either casting or research, or probs production running to begin with if I have too.

I like to cook too when I can be bothered, love cooking roasts, I always ruin pancakes they always stick to the pan

Haha, I reckon I can challenge you on the south of england stereotyping, I'm from Essex! I've given up trying to defend myself (but for the record I'm from the nice part of Essex - yes it exists)

I went to Uni in the very south of england, and work freelance in film - I'd ask for your card if this was real life!

I just finished shooting a feature film in Chelmsford and Maldon, spent the summer filming (and living) on boats on the river! Don't know if that sounds glamourous, not it was not!

Definatley think a production company if a good idea, we could make a southerners version of Nina's Heavenly Delights, although that means it would probably be about fish and chips!

What roles have we got covered? I'm a 1st AD (yes, mouthy and horribly organised)

Cool, I have done cannel boats and it turned out to be one long pub crawl as I found out, Just finished helping out on a documentary to do with World War 2 and the Luxembourg royal family.

Roles, I am Production assistant and I am pretty ok on graphic's and editing and music scores (this doesn't include making the music, I can't sing to save my life) guess the computer stuff makes me un-organized and geeky ha ha

I'm from northern ireland originally, but I live in London now. And... I love cooking too!! I just made the most amazing vegetarian bean chili. Its awesome! and and and I made up the recipe myself. Go me!!

As for pancakes... I like the american style ones (small and fat!) but I can never seem to cook them all the way through :s Mmmmm... Raw pancake batter!! Lol.
