Don't wear anything with OBAMA or McCain to the Voting Polls!!!! - It's the Law

This not completely true it depends on the state you live in  and what their laws are on passive electioneering.  Here are two good pages that address this issue:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/24/105716/347/604/608597 - This has to do more with the state of Maryland.

 

I think the best bet is to NOT WEAR OBAMA OR MCCAIN paraphernalia and to be informed of the law in your state.

My sister sent this to me in an e-mail and I just wanted to spread the word because I want everyone's vote to count.  My brother and sister-in-law are in Maryland, maybe that's where she got her information.

Yeah, during the last presidential election, the polls for my area were held at my high school and none of the students were allowed to wear any clothing/pins/whatever supporting any of the candidates that day because it was illegal. That was in Pennsylvania.

During the Congressional elections last year I wore a Stewart and Colbert '08 shirt.  No one said anything.  I figured I could get away with it.  :D
