Women's Professional Soccer league

They allocated players today from the US Women's National Team. Here's how the split went:

I didn't pick any European-based players because they won't be there. Yeah, it blows ass, but even though Sex Machine and Bompy and Smith and Scott and Carney and Aluko...I better stop with that. These girls will be taking on the best of Europe, so God speed to England and France!! Kick some German ass!!

i saw this and promptly made an AE account haha. but anyway... who do you all think will be named the All-Stars coach? i'd personally like to see Kelly Lindsey.

PS: i love the investigators on here! and is there an opinion on Nicole Barnhart?

It would be nice to see Lindsey get it but i dont see it happening. Pure speculation on my part, because I dont know anything about the various coaching styles or personalities, but obviously Rogers (Sol) has done well knitting his team together from the start, and you can't dismiss what Barcellos (STL) has done since losing Daniela (even if Solo has saved his bacon on more than one occassion!)

I think Barnhart is the second best keeper in the world... shame she plays for the same country as the best keeper in the world! That save on Christiane last week was the best save of the season....Oh, and yes, she pings more than a vegas slot machine.

i'm with you, Canada needs to do more off the field interviews! i love Sinclair, my fav international player. that video was pretty funny too.

congrats to Abby for the 100th intl goal! it was a nice one too. standard, but nice. and Tobin Heath is my fav player of all time so i must interject: that double-meg of hers was sweet :)

Pia was jumping up and pumping her fist and shit. God, I love that woman. She's brought new life to our National Team. The girls are having FUN, and we know they didn't under Greg Ryan.

Also, I really like the fact Canada hired Carolina Morace. She's changing so much stuff, and with keeping Sinclair as Captain, calling up Kelly Parker and making LeBlanc her number one Keeper, there's no doubt they will be at the WWC in Germany and London Games. Prolly won't go down without a serious catfight, either. The Canadian defense is getting UNREAL. I was impressed!

i know i loved her reaction! Pia has done amazing things for the national team. the cracks it showed in the 04 olympics are on the mend under her, great coach.

if Canada got to the quarterfinals in 08, imagine how far they will go under Morace! the fact that the last game was 1-0 by a garbage goal in the last minutes shows how iron they will be. thier defense is definitly getting crazy. once Morace moves focus to the offense, Canada will be jumping rank!

Haha it´s funny they all three wear almost the same clothes. Johann and Marta have the same shoes and almost the same skirt/dress. And Johanna and the one on the left has the same top/dress.

The lesbain community in soccer is pretty small actually so they are probably not the only ones who have dated but are on the same team or play against each other.Everybody pretty much knows everybody including former girlfriends.

 

But that pic of Abby & Sarah says it all really. The people she is close to were at that game.

I don´t think you can take photos from "game-days" and have them as indication if they are or have been a couple.

Maybe it´s just the same relation Abby and Mia Hamm had/has. There Abby is a mentor for Megan.

i was at the game, and goodness it was intense! LA beat down the first half but the Pride was explosive the second! Leblanc really had to flex her muscles. as for Whitworth: BEAST. and thats the thing i love about this league, the bottom of the table team ties the top table [almost wins i might add]. Milbrett and Chastain didnt look..ahem..'elder' at all, they were all over the place! 

so LA has clinched the title. shocking.

Milbrett and Sinclair were warming up/stretching together. and after the game Sinclair gave Millbrett a little hug out by the locker rooms :) theyre so cute.

Rumour has it that Hingst and Angerer are an item. Unfortunately, there isn't much evidence to back it up, aside from some cute pics of Hingst making fun of Angerer (I'll try to find the link).
