Tattoos

I liked checking out everybody's ink, I think tattoos are so beautiful.  I currently have three and plan on getting more, including a half sleeve, sometime in the future. This is the fish I have on the back of my calf:

It's my own little symphony! I really want wings on my back next, but that may be overdoing it. 

I look at my body as a canvas! Its like when you look a blank canvas you want to express yourself on it.. Your bodys like a perfect clean canvas! I have 2 tats already and really want more but i will wait until im a bit older and something else happens that i can express haha

Im all for tattoos i think they're sick! Even better when they have a strong meaning behind them.. i love it when each one tells a story of your life.. its like a visual journal :)

But its similar to tattoos. But not exactly a tattoo. I think its called skin branding. I was wondering would any of you consider branding yourself? Ive seen some people with it and it looks painful to me.

I've really got to stop with this one.  I'm running out of tasteful places to put a tattoo.  Just hope I won't regret the ones I do have already, but I don't see that happening.  Putting up pics of two of my tats, I don't have a picture of my ankle tattoo, not sure why.

i looooooove body art!!!! i currently only have 2 tattoos on the calf of my right leg.

both are done by Toby Benson of Mystic Tattoo in Dubuque, IA (in the USA). the 1st is a adorable platypus with a bandaide on one eye and stiches in his head. the second is a zombie rabbit that i just got done last week and its super cuuute!

 i got the platypus because other than its my favorite animal i thought it would be a good way to show my sense of humor; i mean how many people do you know who love platypuses enough to die with a platypus inked on their leg? :P i got the zombie rabbit as a dedication to my family (the Chillook side) because i love them they have always been there for me and helped me when i was first coming out and what not.

other than that i also have 7 piercings. 2 are in my ear (16gauge and 6 gauge), both my nipples are pierced (16gauge) and my septum is pierced (16gauge).

i plan on getting more tattoos and piercings in the future but it all depends on money. being a college student only working part time i dont make much but im really good friends with a lot of the body modification artists in town and so they give me nice deals :D they are all really cool people too so i love going to hang out at the shops even if im not getting work done.

I have this on my left ankle and the L is for my mom's name and my grandmother's middle name. It's also for my middle name which is Leilani and it means heavenly flower, which is why there are plumerias.

 I have this on my right foot. It was my first and my mom got a matching one. The honu stands for family and the plumeria is because it is my favorite flower.

I plan on getting three more. A frog on my left foot, a cross on my neck, and something else on my right ankle.

when im eventually living on my own again and have saved up (its majour expensive) i hope to find a good artist to do a from the corners of the upper shoulders down sweeping to the front of my hips tribal style wings (the tribal lines being black angular "ivy" (leaves that resemble feathers) tinted with blue/teal. (matches my eyes), maybe i'll post a pic in a few years XD

I realy want tatoos but I`m too damn young!! Grrr but I`m obsessed with them...my brothers ex just got 2 and they are frickin awesome!! So jealous!!

I love tattoos, not only of myself but also others. I have 3 and I'm sure I wont stop anytime soon. I just started getting them about a year and a half ago and I'm so glad I decided to do it.

 Alot of people have a hard time wrapping there heads around that thought of a tattoo. Its forever. It hurts. Well yah thats the point. I think its a little weird that this day in age with some many people tattooed that some people cant get used to it but hey its like everything else (gay marriage) dont even get me started!

Bigger question would anyone here get the name of a lover tattooed on them? Y or y not?

i wouldn't get someones name on me. I'm kinda too young to believe that someone is 'forever'. i'm not sure about when i'm older, though.

that is my evil platypus we affectionately call Squishy :P it was my 1st tattoo and is done by Toby Benson of Mystic tattoo. the picture came out kind of bad because i used my camera phone but it looks very vibrant and bold in real life!! (someday i will take a proper picture)

thats my zombie bunny with a straight razor that i got in dedication to the Chillook family side :) it was hard because i couldnt fit the whole piece in the photo so the straight razor looks a little weird but there she is :D i love it the colors really pop out at you and its so cute! its another piece done by my friend Toby Benson from Mystic Tattoo.

ive got an outline on my lower right arm, but i really want a nice color one on the back of my left arm and some illustration on the inside of my right bicep and some writing on the back of my right arm near my elbow :D

I've got a pair of wings on my back, but I really want to get another one. Although I might just do a make-over on the wings first. At the moment they're just in black ink and not very big or distinctive, so I really want to make them slightly bigger and add some colour. It will probably end up looking like phoenix wings, because that was the original idea behind them, so red/orange, bit of blue perhaps. 

For my next one though, because I AM getting another one, I really want something flowery, maybe cherry blossoms or something vine-like on my ribs. I know it'll hurt, but it's so worth it I think. 

Toby Benson of Mystic Tattoo did a new piece on me today its my 'Sevas Tra' piece ive wanted since like 10th grade. i love it :) i took the pic using my cell so its not the best pic quality but its cool. :)

all the employes at our shop Mystic Tattoo got the bloodhound tattoo that the elite from Hostel have :P it was a fun way to bond and show shop spirit. plus we all loooove horror films :P i got mine on my ankle under my rabbit.

 i had my left arm sleeved last year. absolutely love it! its all random, old skool tatt images. was done by leah moule at spear studio in birmingham. it took 24hrs total. jus got my chestpiece started this week, also by leah moule. a skull with swallows n a banner with the quote, to thine own self be true.  i'll put some links so u's can check them out :)

I have one that means "brother" in Japanese. . .I got it to show I would go through anything for him. i was 21, but the meaning is still there

In the future I will have:

My kids' footprints (no kids yet)

My name in written in Japanese

I have to say tatoos are very addictive.  If I didn't like living in doors and eating, I would prob have many more :)

But on the plus side, using my money for more important things has given me the oprotunity to grow and decide what I want for the future.  I truely believe every tat should follow two rules:

1. when you pick it, you should be willing to look at in 40 or 50 years when it is all faded and wrinkled and you can barely tell what it is, but you still love it.  if you can pick it off the wall, out of a book, or from someone else's body, it prob won't mean much, so don't pick that tat 

2. don't let your tats limit your life.  for example, if you plan on being a professional, don't get tats where they can be seen when you wear everyday clothes 

just got my industrial through conch piercing done by our piercer Mona O. (i know its not a tattoo but didnt know if we had a piercing thread) its pretty epic and is the 1st one she has ever done!
