News, Reviews & Commentary on Lesbian and Bisexual women in Entertainment and the Media

When you have seen it, make sure to post a review so I know if it will be worth seeing when it eventually comes out Down Under.

Apparantly it was filmed entirely against a blue/green screen, and I'm usually not a big fan of special effects movies ... but, I can't miss a movie with Angelina in it, especially if she commands an all-female squadron.

Probably makes it worth seeing just for that. Wink

Angelina

I just saw this movie today. It's crispay! !!
Think "Rocketeer" meets "Iron Giant" meets "Batman" as far as the set and directorial style. AS far as Angelina uber-sexy
le sigh... even with the eye patch and bad accent she is just the epitome of sexy. love Beware though she only has a small role, though Kate M's cuz Gwyn isn't too bad on the eyes. Now if only they had made Angelina Sky Captain. lick

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

"Famous scientists around the world have mysteriously disappeared and Chronicle reporter Polly Perkins (Gwyenth Paltrow) along with ace aviator Sky Captain (Jude Law) are on the investigation. Risking their lives as they travel to exotic places around the world, can the fearless duo stop Dr. Totenkopf, the evil mastermind behind a plot to destroy the earth? Aided by Franky Cook (Angelina Jolie), commander of an all-femail amphibious squadron, and technical genius Dex (Giovanni Ribisi), Polly and Sky Captain may be out planet's only hope."

Trailer

I think this movie sounds great (and from the trailer, looks it too). But it is WWII era and pulp science-fiction in one, so that's obviously going to be my opinion Smile I haven't been so eager to see a film for quite a while.

Released 17 September (US).

I was a little confused as to where this should be posted though. I was going to put it in 'Minor Lesbian/Bi Themes'. It's not wrong to assume things about an all-female squadron led by Angelina Jolie.

Is it?
