Daria was one of my favorite shows!  I haven't thought about it in awhile.  I never thought Daria was gay, but Jane definitely was.

on a side note I had a big crush on Jo from the facts of life as well. 

I think Daria is my biggest role model... ever... hah. But no. Not gay. Intellectual? Yes. Feminist? Sure! But gay? No.

I'd be more concerned about her sister Quinn... all those guys and nothing serious....

On one of the last espisodes (it may have been that movie) when Jane goes away to Art Camp, she gets hit on by one of the instructors, a Bi-girl played by out-bi girl Bif Naked.  Jane is a bit taken aback by this as the girl (I can't remeber the character's name) said she got a 'vibe' from Jane and that's why she made the move. Jane says doesn't send out any 'vibe' but by the end of the episode, you can tell Jane was thinking about what the said and she didn't seem as put off and she made it seem earlier.  I think she and Daria even have a conversation about it.

Daria's not queer. Self righteous to the point of exasperation, sure but not queer.

yea i would agree that daria isnt a lesbian but i think that jane was def closeted during the show and is full on lesbian!
