I want to be a filmmaker

I noticed this has been for a few days and no one has posted yet  so i thought why not tell you my life story. I have always been crazy about films for as long as i can remember really. I´m taking a year between college and uni to work and earn some money and to get ready for filmschool in London. Everyone tells me im insane to pursue such a mad dream as all my friends are studying right now to become teachers, lawyers and such. But I can't be happy doing that now can I. I would even be happy working as a catering assistant on set. I'm not dreaming of Oscars & hollywood I just wanna make a film that will mean something to someone or that can change people's views on certain things for the better. I finally bought my camera and me and some friends are gonna shoot a very amateur film this summer. I'm currently reading teach yourself filmmaking which is a very practical and simple book & an actor prepares. The film will come on our site in 4 episodes and a vlog will be made as well. Is anyone chasing the same mad dream as I am?
