HGTV- way gay

I mean, it was kind of gay to begin with (every Home Depot lesbian I know watches it) but more recently I've been noticing more gay and lesbian couples being the homeowners and material fodder for the shows. Not least among these is ... JULIE GOLDMAN!!! who got a no cost make over for her and her partner (Nicola? or Ricola? idk)'s living room. I have to say it turned out very well. I hope they will stay on good terms with their old designers :)...

anyway, there's been many more that I've noticed too... I think thats just cool.

any comments?

I started watching this channel more frequently over the past few weeks and I did notice that a big proportion of the homeowners were gay couples, specifically gay male couples.  I have yet to see a lesbian couple.  Anyway, yeah, I love that channel.

So far I've only seen 2 gay male homeowner shows, but I've seen about a dozen lesbian homeowners.

... particularly a recent episode of International House Hunters, where they had many shots at the end of the couple getting cozy in their new home. It was cute.

i noticed that too. And it's more often gay male couples. but i do admire HGTV for including everybody and treating all couples the same, like it's no big deal and the gay couples are no different. Unlike all the other TV channels who treat gays differently and thereby demonize them. Just my opinion

oh my jesus.... do you happen to remember the name of the show that Julie was on? That would be great to see.

I don't remember. All I remember is that it was like a small redo (rearranging the things that they already had) stuck in at the end of a full program of someone elses complete re-do.

That probably doesn't help :(

Oh my goodness I noticed the same thing! I love HGTV, I can seriously just turn it on and watch the channel for hours. It is definitely an undercover gay channel.
