Someone told me that Sharapova has stated somewhere that a mutual friend introduced her to Camilla.  If they are friends, that's terrific.  I'm always hoping for some romance (because it's sweet and they would make a cute couple).  Camilla's fans on her message board not so open minded:)

I haven't seen many players bringing friends in the private boxes, usually only coaches, relatives or their partners. Camilla's in London for Wimbledon so whether theyre together or not it's clear Maria is very important in her life to fly around the world to support her in the tournament and thats nice =)

I like the thought of these two being together. But I think they're just friends, for now. I notice in their photos, they're not touchy-feely with each other either compared to photos of other girls where they hold hands.

After seeing Sharapova at the US Open I think it was two years ago was it? I'd say she has good reason to go for women. I'm not a big Sharapova fan, but she got all sorts of dirty guys yelling perverse stuff to her during her matche, it was totally distracting, I wanted to go punch their lights out, though they were on the other side of the stadium. You don't see that stuff on the broadcasts. I felt sorry for her actually, now I kind of get her tough bitch thing, she needs it with some of those sicko fans she's got.

Hmm I don't think we'll be seeing these two dating guys anytime soon but if I'm wrong I owe you a Coke.

My dream final would be Anna and Maria......I hope they are seeded properly so they can face each other in the final and not in one of the earlier rounds.

LONDON (AFP) - Maria Sharapova, who once wore diamond-encrusted shoes at Wimbledon, is keeping her style simple at this year’s championships - she’ll be wearing shorts.

“I’m going with the traditional shorts, believe it or not,” said Sharapova, the 2004 champion.

“I’ve never worn shorts at a Grand Slam. I’m gonna be debuting that. Call it menswear, obviously. It’s kind of like a tuxedo look, very simple lines, classic.”

Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the year, gets under way on Monday.
