Ms. Frizzle (sp)

first off i just want to say that this might be the most stupid thing ever n if it is feel free to take it down lol.

ok. so. does ne body no of the show The Magic Schoolbus? with Ms. Frizzle, Liz (the lizard), Carlos (who makes the bad jokes), and Keisha, etc.

i was watching it the other day in school. no i m not 5 (technically) :). is Ms. Frizzle a lez? being of an older age than when i watched this show something struck me as "odd" (so to speak) about her. could that be what it is? hmmmm.... (yes, i no, i m strange n darn proud of it :).)

please.... don't bother asking how i thought of this or why.... cuz those are darn good questions to which i don't have a f-ing clue as to the answers.

you are on the right track, who talks like that, drives her own cool ass school bus that can change into anything,teaches cool science lessons in heels with the ever present earrings to match? ding,ding  LILY TOMLIN/ MRS. FRIZZLE  i just wondered how she managed to leave her class for just the amount of time it took to discover an answer on their own..... anywho you get that "feeling" cuz thats LILY TOMLIN and we all know she's forgotten more PRIDE parades then we will ever attend collectively.   see!! your gaydar works..

I totally mentioned in a blog about six months ago that I thought Ms. Frizzle was hot!

I mean..

lookin all coy and shit.

But I'll tell you who WAS a big lez...

NOT only that, But I think Francine Frensky (pictures above, from Arthur on PBS) was probably tryina get Muffy's..namesake. (pictured below.)

As you can see..i've done my research.

t.v throwback show cuz the with ur research and my useless info from then...remember 3-2-1 contact with mathnet & Kate Monday, Mr.Wizard,Aeon Flux from liquid t.v...anyway,iz it just me or is Cree Summer voicing damn near every cartoon character from then & now.

CHEAH!!!

Aeon Flux..remember The Maxx on MTV's Odditites? That was my shit. I remember Mathnet and Square 1..remember Commander Mark or Zoobilee Zoo? PBS was awesome.

And Cree Summer OMG she does so many characters it doesn't make any sense.

 i learned all about NICKOLODEON and public tv was a distant memory. i remember zoobilee zoo and the maxx he was that weird dog dude.. yeah!!! and i remember lots of purple and some hard ass guitar riffs goin' on. when MTv was worth watchin all day.. but, imma take ya back right quick (denver the last dinosaur,salute your shorts,FREAKAZOID,double dare,you can't do that on television....XUXA and her sexy ass TOY SOLDIERS), wait, wait...okay i'm back,snap 4 da soldiers okaaaay!!!!!

I did not fancy a lot of the American cartoons growing up, I remember watching magic school bus for educational reasons and thought something was very queer about Ms. Frizzle. 

I must say that growing up I had a crush on Carmen San Diego, she helped me through 4th grade geography "yea Chicago is in Ohio!!!!" What was under that red coat? I hope nothing plus her fashion was fierce!

I had a lot of animated crushes growing up when I think about...but most of them were the Anime that was shown in Satuday Morning (Sailor Moon!).

LOL Sounds like she had you more distracted than focused! I remember Carmen Sandiego! My favorite villain on there was the Contessa. She had some sort of accent and she always said "If i'm going to pree-son,, i'm taking Carrrmen Weeth me."

Ha ha! No way! I have ALWAYS had the gay vibe from Ms Frizzle, even before I had any clue what "gay" meant. And she was voiced by Lily Tomlin?! geez, it's no wonder...

 And Francine? oh yeah, definitely gay.

from the books, i never really got into the cartoon! the books specifically described her as odd and out of the ordinary and generally a bit strange, but then if that was pertaining to her sexuality is that a good thing? but yes i do get a bit of a vibe from her!

Omg! Haha, when I was seven our family went over to Canada for a couple of weeks and I watched The Magic Schoolbus so much there! I even remember playing a Magic Schoolbus computer game. :P

 

I guess Ms. Frizzle being voiced by Lily Tomlin explains it a bit but isn't it a little interesting that she's 'Ms.' not 'Mrs.' or 'Miss.'? I can remember kids cartoon characters always being 'Mrs.' or 'Miss.' but never 'Ms.' Or maybe that's just the norm in the UK and not so much elsewhere.

this is the best thread so far. Raider I totally agree with your points on Ms. Frizz and Francine. Seriously, Pepper-Ann? Moose for SHO. I could see P.A. but i was shippin her w/ Milo. It does make sense, her 2 straight bfs were crazy in love w each other. And cree summer did those 2 skinny gossip girls voices. So its the cree summer rule: someone in the show must be gay.

ex:

Tiny toons: Elmira Fudd (cat loving lesbo x 10. Always after plucky duck. Duck/Dyke(reaching?)

susie on rugrats: srsly? Susie and angelica love/hate tension from Day 1.

and Freddie on a diff world had to have at least been bi with her hippie self
