Personally, and this could just be the classic movie fan within I really do find it sexy.... But what reaction do the rest of you have to a woman and a cigarette?
Looks better in art forms like in movies, maybe even sexy in some cases. But try looking at a wrinkly woman aged beyond her years from tobacco and she's blowing smoke all over your nostrils. Not cool.
Got a style to flaunt? What do you wear or say to attract other women? Show it off in the 'What should be the lesbian indicators?' thread under Surveys and Questionnaires! Do it!
It's bad that so many young Hollywood women smoke . I know it's bad habit to break but after seeing how it can damage lives, I hope more of them would stop smoking. I don't like anything that makes smoking seem sexy, cool, etc.
I definitely agree with you shygurl99. The only time I can tolerate smoking is when I am already in an environment where smoking is all over the place like a nightclub or in a place I cannot really get away from the smell like a restaurant.
I don't smoke regularly (or actually I can't even if I wanted because I get way too lightheaded and nauseated), but I seem to LOVE it when I'm inebriated. 0:)
I smoke occasionally myself, so I dont mind if its not inside. But if you light a cigarette in my house, Ill kick you out....
but theres no denying its a bad habit though....
i really don't mind, i guess making out is always a bit more pleasant is the person hasn't been smoking, but it doesn't put me off or anything. then again i used to be one of those dirty social smokers so i can't really talk!
Never really liked smoking, but it's not like i'll be going postal if someone lights a smoke near me. But i think it is kind of unattractive and def not a good habit.
If i was the grim reaper everyone would die in freak accidents.
i love it. i love smoking, like the physical act of smoking. but i'm trying to stop. Not because i give two shits about my health but because i can't afford it, AND because I've been watching too much 'Ten Years Younger' where people smoke and then are ashamed to smile when they're 40..yeah not so much.
Oddly enough, I can't stand the smell of cig smoke when I'm not smoking. But I think it's just certain kinds..like some brands smell really bad.
but i love smoking while drinking.
I haven't had a cigarette in 2 weeks though. *hooray/dyin here*
I used to smoke and although I'm really really glad I finally quit, I miss it. It just helped so much with stress, you know? Personally, I think it's sexy, but I'm just weird that way. Not sexy in the effect it has on your body, but the act of it, you know?...Does that even make sense? Lol
and depends on what they're smoking. Hey, I love weed just as much as the next seventeen year old, I'd be a bit of a hypocrite if I said I wasn't okay with it. But, for me, it's more of a turn off when the person is a sketchball when they smoke. Or if they don't use mouthwash afterwards.
And yeah, I'm one of those people that find a girl smoking a cigerette sexy.
Seeing as I smoke both myself, it makes me more comfortable if I know that the other person does also and doesn't have a problem with it.
Yeah, I'm one of those people who find women smokers sexy! I can't tolerate the smoke or when it's family members or anyone else smoking near me, but it has never bothered me when it comes down to attractive women smoking.
I can't stand it. There have been a couple of deaths in my family related to smoking. If someone I cared about was a smoker I'd have a huge problem with it. Plus it stinks and burns up a lot of money. What's hot about it?!
I have a very low tolerance for smoke. As I think I've written here before, I once moved out of an apartment complex, taking a financial hit, because the people in the unit below me smoked, and the smell rose up to my place. Even with my air purifier running on high, I felt sick from the smoke smell. I mean, the clean clothes in my closet smelled like smoke, yuck. So, yeah, smoking = gross.
A relative of mine died from cancer (lung) which was related to his smoking and probably inhaling of others people smoking around him also. So he def paid the *expensive* price of smoking that’s for sure, which was such a shame because he was under fifty yrs old.
I am rarely caught without a cigarette. I am not sure what it is, but I love to smoke. I tried to quit in December, but failed miserably. After just a few days I felt as though i was going to have a serious breakdown. I will make another attempt this month, a more serious one, as I will be running the 5k breast cancer deal in Feb..While i realize that i 5k is rather short, it is a hell-of-a run for a chainsmoker like myself. Besides, with all the money i spend on smokes I could have something way more satisfying. Not to mention the skin problems it causes. ugh.
I'm not going to throw a fit if I see someone smoking but the fact is that I hate it (in real life. Doesn't do anything for me one way or the other in a movie). Smoking contributed to my mother's health problems before she died. It doesn't look attractive to me (let's face it, a hot woman is a hot woman and cigarettes don't have anything to do with it), and what it does to your body as you get older certainly isn't attractive. I hate the smell and I wouldn't want to kiss someone who'd been smoking. So yeah, I'm anti-smoking. I won't yank the cigarette out of someone's mouth (like my brother used to) or even chastize anyone for it as it's their body and they can do whatever the heck they want with it. I would avoid getting too close and I would seriously have to be persuaded to date someone who smoked cigarettes. Weed? Sorry. That's not happening at all.
I'm a dirty smoker. I've been smoking for a while now. I keep shifting from a social smoker to an every day smoker. I do want to quit, for health reasons of course, but I'm totally and completely addicted. But lately I've shifted back to just a social smoker. I'm gonna try and cut back to 3 ciggs a night when I go out only. We'll see how that goes. But I do want to quit in the relatively near future. I work out regularly and I can already feel some of the effects its having on my lungs and stamina when I run. But when I quit I'm definitely gonna have to be working out more cuz it curves my appetite. When I dont smoke I just get soooo hungry. lol.
As far as other people go, I do find it very sexy when they smoke. I think it gives them an extra edge. Plus, in a social setting its easier to talk to people if they're smoking. I do it all the time. "Do you happen to have a lighter I could use?" Even though there is one in my pocket. lol.
I've been 2 days with out a cig. Cold turkey, no patch, no gum, no meds. I have a major head ache, but I'm surviving. There has been girls that I find super sexy smoking, but sometimes it's kind of a turn off. Which makes me a huge hypocrite.
Basically I'm quitting for a few reasons though.
1. money
2. where I work is becoming tabacco free when we all go back from vacation. So I'm thinking, I should quit all together.
3. My grandfather is currently suffering in the hospital because of his smoking/drinking habits. He hasn't lied down to sleep in months and months. He has to sleep sitting up because he can't breath lying down.
4. I don't want to turn off any girls
Do not smoke around me. I will not kiss you if you smoke, not would I date you. I will kill you if you smoke around my daughter. Right.there.on.the.spot.
I do not find girls who smoke to be sexy. Girls I think are cute who then light up no longer are thought of as cute.
I'm the evil bitch you see glaring at your ass when you're smoking outside the place you're no longer allowed to smoke inside of when I have to walk by and breathe your stench.
That being said, I wished I smoked because I never have anything to do with my hands, and I don't have any other vices, and people find me boring and opinionated and for some odd-effing reason people think smoking makes you look cool and I seriously desire to be cool some day.
I know this is a bit old, but your post made me smile. Especially your death threat which if I knew you I'd take rather seriously but I also found it terribly amusing in the way you typed it out. I pictured beheadings and barehanded disemboweling, which forgive me if it's a bit graphic but most mothers I know tend to be a bit vicious when it comes to their "cubs." For all it's worth you're officially cool in my book.
I don't mind when people smoke. Although right now it is my resolution to quit smoking and its only 2 days in. As of right now i'm just trying not to be around it. I'm quitting mainly for health reasons cause i live near a reservation where it doesn't cost much to smoke. I was never a pack a day smoker but rather smoked when all my friends went outside or when i was drinking. I do, however, feel as though it is not good and hope that anyone who does not smoke now doesn't pick up the habit. No matter what...once you're a smoker, you're always a smoker. My friends who have quit have always said that they have cravings even if it has been a year since smoking so I know its going to be tough. One word of advice...try to quit with a friend. It helps to make it a competition...first one to smoke has to buy the other dinner. Or incentives such as if you last an entire month i'll pay for a day of skiing. Just some thoughts on the situation. As for the main question...I do think that a girl smoking is sexy which is prob what started me on my trend to begin with.
i don't understand why so many people smoke...classmates, friends of mine, it seems like ninety percent of my generation are smokers.
that said, i don't have a huge problem with people who smoke, you know, it's a personal choice and i'm not one to judge. except with some of my friends it really affects me more than most. one of my boys is a senior in high school and he smokes and drinks on a regular basis, despite having had heart surgery in the last year. i get irrationally angry when he smokes around me. also my best friend started smoking occasionally last year and i've been trying to get her to quit since. so far she's listening to me but it's only been a month so we'll see. i think i oversimplify it so i can justify being angry, but my gut reaction is that they're killing themselves slowly. i don't know. i have issues with my friends being taken away.

let's just pretend i said something constructive and intelligent.
My older brother smokes, and my parents did when I was a little kid. I used to hide my brother's cigarettes and lighters when he came over, or post signs on the door that said "no smokers allowed." I really hate that I might lose him to it someday, because he's one of the coolest people I know.
That being said, I try not to be judgmental about it. But I don't think I would date someone who smokes.
My dad smokes, it never really bothered me until I was in college.
Visually, I think, when women smoke, they can be very attractive, but I don't think I would want to date one, I can't imagine the thought of having to kiss one. The after-smoke smell is something I find unbearable.
I just quit on new year's, so right now I can't really stand to see anyone smoking. Not because it's disgusting or anything, just because it reminds me how much I actually miss it. But hey, I've been doing good for the last (nearly) 3 weeks, so I can do this!
I'm a smoker *Ducks for cover* but I have a set of rules
1. I NEVER smoke near kids, even if I'm walking down the street and a women/man is walking their dog with their kid, I turn into the inside of my hand and hold it away from the side they are walking on
2. I won't smoke in somebody elses car, even if they themselves are smokers, it's rude.
3. I refuse to smoke in the house. I my sisters are non smokers and I'm respectful of that
4. Smoking is my choice, my addiction, I'm not smoking near non smokers. They don't blow fresh air up in my face.
My mistake. I thought since you look like Yoda you were also wise.
I don't get to smoke that much, but I like it, and I have rules too, and they're pretty close to yours.
Like if I'm going out with people or I'm dating someone I'll carry those little bottles of mouthwash and try not to smoke that much with them.
I'm not addicted and just smoke 'em as I get 'em.
I would quit if I was dating a girl that hated it, but otherwise it's my choice and it helps with stress. I know there are other alternatives, but nothing else hits the spot as well. I know it's unhealthy, that's why I don't do it often, and I try to make every other aspect of my life healthy too. Not as far as going vegan or vegitarian, but I'm eating balanced meals n all that other stuff.
I know it doesn't make up for it and doesn't work for the same parts, but I'm trying to b as healthy as possible while being happy
I've smoked for years, and i recently quit. Not because i wanted too, but because i was forced to since i came down with bronchitus and then a nasty batch of pnumonia or however it is spelt. But since i was already not allowed to have one i just quit. The coughing fits were enough to get me on all fours gripping the carpet with my fingers tears streaming down my face almost to the point of being sick trying to breathe.
I had rules when i smoked also almost identical to those, i also didn't smoke in front of my relatives or my parents, it's considered disrespectful. My father made me smoke an entire pack in front of him once, it made me sick and i still didn't quit. Another story of how stubborn and pigheaded i am.
I officially quit smoking since I no longer buy them but i'll steal one from a friend occasionally.
I still smoke one other thing though. Mary jane where for art thou?
I do NOT smoke cigarettes and never have, but the person that shares my house with me does. When I go somewhere, and pack my clothes in my suitcase, when I get where I am going and open it, the first thing that I smell is cigarette smoke! I am a nurse and wish that everyone would give up smoking. But my best friend has been under a LOT of stress lately and even though I want her to quit smoking, I will not push for it as long as she IS under all of the stress. Like any drug, it has it's uses...
I smoke, my partner doesn't, so I stand in the cold with my coffee cup and a smoldering butt in the morning. Do I mind? Eh. I get to see the crows chase a red-tail hawk in the shadow of a desanctified church. If I didn't smoke I'd miss it all.

I really do NOT like girls who smoke!
The smell alone is horrible, let alone the taste when you're kissing.
I love athletic girls, and if you play sports and you smoke, then you must be an idiot, and idiocy is a big, big turnoff.
(If you're reading this and you're a smoker: QUIT! Seriously. Have some respect for your body. And save lots of money.)
