I've been far too busy lately to go to this years meetup. Next year if they have one in NYC, I'll be sure to cross the border from Canada and join in on the fun. :D.

Hahaha that "person" that smacked karman's ass was me. and it was FABULOUS! she was cracking me up, as well as everyone else. it was the most amazing day!

I'm 19 and so were all my friends so we didn't drink either lol everyone was sooo nice .. I <3 all the afterellen ladies =)

I talked for so long with Dee. She is really sweet and I enjoyed talking with her. She was using my camera to take some pics lol. I had her sign my Keep A Child Alive shirt from the AIDS walk this morning. Then I saw Bridget who is also a sweetheart, took a bunch of pictures with her and had her sign as well. Then Jill came over (again, super nice) and we took pics and I had her sign too. Everyone was really nice and easy to talk to. It was a really great atmosphere. If there's another get together in NY next year I'm definitely going!

 yeah i was a little bummed everyone there seemed to be older as well but i was kinda expecting it,  it was good time,  my mother and brother actually came with me in support. which is good cause i dont thinkk i could have went by myself,i froze up when i got to the door  i was like ' ok guys i made it to the door lets go home' but my mom and bro helped push me a little, and im glad i did, all of them were down to earth and very friendly, 

 

I live in Australia and really wanted to go, but couldn't get time off school, ok thats sort of the truth, the truth is i don't think my grandparents (who don't know i'm gay, but i think my grandmother might have an idea that i am) who i also live with for the time being would have let me go and it would have been really expensive to get over there. seriously i dont understand the time difference, i know that America is a day behind Australia that i get, but the time, someone help me. Say that it's 12:00 pm here on a monday what would the time be over there, I have never been very good at math and if i try to work it out i would make a big mistake.

By the way i would Love to meet Sarah Warn and Lori, and the rest of the AE vloggers, i hope they decide to have a meet and greet in Australia, its a nice country, but im not biased.

im 19 and went there by myself but mangaged to join a group of girls my age n hang out with them the whole time while we work up the courage to talk to the AE ladies

When i first got there i thought i might need a drink to actually talk to them but with them being so nice it wasnt that hard even though i didnt really say much cuz im soo shy

Although it was crowed like crazy in there i think i would go again next year...maybe this this time i'll gain more courage like u

oh Katy thanks for the link to that site although i didnt go to it i asked my grandmother this afternoon when i got home from school what time it would be over there and she said it was like and 18 hour time difference.

i came up with a scenario some time ago, its only hypothetical and it has some great multiple choice answers, feel free to answer if you like.

Scenario: you are dating Bridget McManus, but secretly you are also seeing Jill, Cathy, Karman, Jenn and Dee. None of them know that they are all seeing the same person. Sarah, Lori and Dara find out about your ways and threaten to tell Bridget, jill, Cathy, Karman, Jenn and Dee if you don't tell them about each other

what do you do?:
A) Break up with all of them except the one you really like
B) lie to Sarah, Lori and Dara about breaking it off with Jill and the others
C) Get out of Town real fast and go into hiding and dont come out until you think its safe
D) Be really really scared of Lori's infamous death stare. but slighty less scared of Sarah and Dara
E) you'd rather die a slow and painful death than admit your wrongs
F) Sit them all down, tell them about each other and than get out of town and get hunted down like a fox by a bunch of angry lesbians
G) Grovel at Sarah's feet and beg her not to tell them, but also promise to be her minion
H) Gather all the girls together including Sarah, Lori and Dara and come clean, which involves being slapped a couple of times, possibly getting your ass kicked and forever looking over your shoulder for Lori and her infamous death stare and constantly being on the lookout for angry ex girlfriends who may hold a grudge against you at Dinah Shore

            

I had a BLAST!!! Everytime I looked at Jill or Bridget, I'd forget to breathe until I advert my eyes! I want to thank Sarah & Lori for setting up the meet & greet! Sarah, YOU ROCK!! Thank you SOOO much for listening to my suggestion for the group picture, and implementing it!

I'd like to thank ALL of the AE ladies...Very Lovely, gracious and personable. Makes me love you all the more. I can appreciate how draining it all may have been, yet you guys ROCKED!

I was there!! I have to keep saying that to myself and watching my pictures because i honestly feel like it was a dream. The whole thing is like a blur, i had to leave early coz i had to catch a bus, but of course i was late, but that was because i wanted some time with everybody! And i did get that :D. I went to Jill first, but i was so nervous i did not even speak to her that much. That bummed me out so much that i just decided to have a question ready for everybody before i talked to them :D. Good thing to do, i talked to Karman for the longest time, she is so freakin awesome! I joked around with Bridget and she showed me her tattoos, lol, i even got to touch her neck :D. Had a huge convo with Lori about Meave and Dara made fun off me! I talked to Kate and Sarah too! So i can now officially die like a happy lady. I met some awesome people whose name i do not know and even some i am now buddies with :D. Oh and Becca (at least i think thats her name, my memory is kinda foggy, sorry) from the savespashley site, gave me a free tshirt, score!!

All in all the best ending to my awesome stay in New York! And i will sooooo be there again in France, yeah baby!!

I went and stayed for about 20 minutes at most. Sadly we had to go see Wicked (third row seats) and we left our friend and my girlfriends mom alone in the theatre to meet with them all. My first impression was...its raining, we're missing Wicked and the tickets were expensive. I'm 20 and I didn't want to drink and if I were 21 I wouldn't drink anyways. But I did meet Bridget who made fun of my girlfriend and I because I've been messaging her a bit on myspace (I hate myspace..anyways..) about my girlfriend getting a t-shirt w/ Bridget's face on it for her college graduation present so...Bridget just laughed at my girlfriend for wanting her face on a shirt and she grabbed my girlfriend and stood up on a bench and took pictures. it was very sweet and surreal. Now...I quickly said hello to Karman and Dara and said that I enjoyed their exitence and Dara said she would tell her mom that...then I talked to Jill and asked if I could have a pic of her with my girlfriend and this was after I was standing next to her and Maeve came in and they laughed and hugged and gave a brief kiss, which was cute, and Jill has amazing eyes. That was the first thing that struck me, she's very pretty. So then I talked to Maeve and said that her work is great and I loved her on 3 Way and as much as I hated her character on South of nowhere it was essential and a representation of a facate in reality and she appreciated that I understood that she's an actress and she's not like that. Then we very briefly discussed how people don't understand sometimes that she's just acting and can't distance themselves from her roles. And then I said it was nice to see Mr. Guiness on the show and she laughed and was very sweet. Then I quickly said to Jill-I love your work and immediately left. Everyone was amazing and wonderful and all ridiculously nice looking in person. I wish I had the chance to talk to them more but...things happen. Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves. And if anyone gets the chance-go see Wicked, its extremely well put together.

Okay, please forgive me if anyone thinks I am spamming...I am just trying to go to a few threads where I would get the attention of our NY population.

Just as California is making history when it comes to gay marriage, there is a good chance NY soon could too...but the governor needs to hear from you...

I signed a petition that a friend of mine who lives in NY sent me.  I don't have the url for it right now so I can't provide it.  I think it's great that California has recognized gay marriages and I hope that NY follows suit.  I know my friend is anxiously waiting so she and her partner can get married in their home state.
