Greensboro

I'm moving to Greensboro, NC in July to start a new job and I don't know anybody around there.  Does anybody live there or know anything about the city?

ah Greensboro

I never lived there, but I have fond memories of the city. Its a nice place, I would say that somehow seems to forever be doing construction. Also I would be prepared to get a little confused sometimes with I 40 and I 85, but i'm sure you'll do fine.

Visit Durham!

Just saw that Bridget McManus is going to be performing at Steel Blue in Durham on Aug 22!  Steel Blue is a great lesbian bar/club here in Durham.

Nearby Burlington

Hey.  I am a sociology professor at Elon University, outside of Burlington and less than 30 minutes from G'Boro.  UNC-G in G'Boro is often referred to UNC-Gay and G'Boro has a pretty thriving GLBT population.  It's a cool place.  But I will say, Durham is probably a bit more gay friendly.

Elon?

Now there is a university that I can't seem to stop hearing about. I have several friends who are currently attending undergrad at Elon. I've never been to the school myself however.

But yeah I've heard the same about UNC-G and Durham.

I'm in raleigh, about an hour and half away from Greensboro, but in January I'll be a in G-Boro finishing up my bachelors at UNCG.  Durham is right in the middle.  Steel Blue is the lesbian hangout in NC, dj sucks, but the crowd is mixed so I always have fun.
