I'm not sure if "I Kissed a Girl" reminded me so much of Paramore, but some of her other songs I do get that vibe.

She reminds me of someone and I just can't place who it is. I listen to way too much music and it's been driving me nuts for weeks.

I personally think "I kissed a girl" is so addicting.

I started playing it and singing along (eventhough i don't approve with all the lyrics she is singing like, this is not how good girls shoudl behave, but whatever ... The song remains awesome somehow) and like 2 houres later i realised i was still listening to the same song =D

I've got more than a little crush on this girl, she's got such an amazing voice and style. She's also pretty damn cute, reminds me of Zooey Deschanel. The beats in most of her songs are brilliant and fit really well with the lyrics. I got addicted to "I Kissed a Girl" 'cause it's so damn catchy, and I also don't really approve of the chorus, nothing wrong with kissing girls.

I can't wait to see her at Warped Tour at the end of the summer.

I LOVE the beat, the background, the vocals, etc, but obviously I'm a bit offended by the lyrics. Soooo I've changed them.

I've got this song on myspace too and the lyrics have been stuck in my head these past couple days since I first listened to it.

I've had her cd for about a month and couldn't talk about it until yesterday. I actually really like it. Even if you take out "Ur So Gay" and "I Kissed a Girl" it's an awesome record. I especially love "Thinking of You" and "I'm Still Breathing". I didn't think her slower songs would be that great because she seems of more of an upbeat kinda artist, but I was wrong.

All the songs have something to offer. "Hot 'n Cold" is super fun. And I looooove the concept for "Fingerprints".

Even if you hate her two singles, I would say to give the cd a chance. Seriously...

i actually like the song (even though it's totally exploitative); but the video, as i have said time and time again, is caveman-stoopid. i mean how in the hell can you sing such a provocative song but have such a conciliatory video?

i think "I Kissed a Girl" is my guilty pleasure! every time i listen to it i go crazy- it's SO catchy! I admit it doesn't have the best lyrics in the world, but still

I guess straight girls are a straight as the next cocktail.

this Katy Perry stuff is blech. Both of the singles are all about the two things that bother me the most. Straight girls using other girls to get in good with their man and the use of gay as an insult. (Oh i can't tell you how much that gets to me) Both are perpetuating a stereotype that will continue the joke.

I still don't know what to make of the song "I Kissed A Girl." It has a great pop/rock sound for sure. The lyrics...well, the lyrics are another story.

On one hand, hearing her sing about kissing another girl as an experiment or a game totally offends me as a "real" lesbian. On the other hand, the artist has made it very clear that the song is not meant to be any sort of a gay rights anthem. It's just for fun. I guess if you look at it like that, it's no big woop.

I'll tell you what though, I would have liked the video a whole lot more if it had beautiful women making out. Isn't that the whole point of the song?

The lyrics yes some are exploitative but the other half make it sound like a girl just discovered her bisexuality.The video was stupid,she looked sexy but the end blahhh.

The song is catchy and I do listen to it when it's on the radio.  I like the beat, but that's about it.  So, I don't mind the song -- But I've heard the video is pretty bad.

It's Katy and a bunch of girls in sexy underwear sitting around doing eadchothers make up and having a pillow fight,then the crappest bit is when she wakes up in bed with her boyfriend at the end and it was all a dream.It's basically a 15 year old boys wet dream but with less action lol.

Do love the song though and still think some of the lyrics make it sound like the girl is at least a little bisexual and not just curious.

I like the song, catchy, her voice is pretty, etc. w/e , but as I saw from a video clip, she also takes kissing girls as something to turn her boyfriend on with but also adds if someone a la Natalie Portman walked in the room, she wouldnt take her eyes off. But who would?!

I hate Katy Perry and I hate her music.

When I heard the first words "I kissed a girl and I liked it" I was like, WOW a lesbian/bi band is finally getting some play on popular radio. And then I the rest and I thought how this was such a stupid fucking song! Since so many people on here liked it, I thought I might just be too political about things that need not be. But I'm glad other people share my view. 

I'm not saying that she should have written a song in which the girl realizes she's a lesbian, instead of just experimenting. I mean, that's just what some straight girls do.
