Top 100 No. 1 Predictions

It seems as though Ms. Bennett does indeed have it in the bag. And you know what? I'm comfortable with that.

Perhaps sometime AE could limit the list to lesbians and/or bi women.   It seems like that makes some sense.   (at least to me)   I could care less about the others with respect to this website.  They have there own lists.

I think it will be close between Bridget and Jill.

As for number one, I don't know... I just hope that Kate Walsh make it to top 10 this year :)

I also think Jill has a good shot but I put my number one on Cathy Debuono.  Did you check out her last vlog where she was washing her motorcycle while wearing those little shorts and a tanktop?  That woman is just beautiful!  But Jill will probably take the top spot and I am fine with that.  She was on my list as was Bridget.

Over 10,000 people have voted in the Hot 100 so far (which means over 100,000 votes, since each person can nominate 10 women), and there are only only a few hundred comments in the forum discussion thread listing who they voted for. So I wouldn't assume that the comments are totally indicative of who will end up where on the list, since only a very small percent of the total voters are leaving comments about who they voted for.

Just want to set expectations so you don't get your hopes up or down about a particular person's ranking based purely on the names left in the comments.

But other than that, speculate away! :)

...that Tegan Quin will be number 1. Sadly, however, Sara Quin will only come in around number 8 or 9, and then, they are going to have so much sibling rivalry as a result that they will break up the band and launch solo careers...as dentists.

Why?? why did afterellen.com ever start this terrible list that could have such devestating consequences???

I think Jill Bennett will almost definitely make the top 10, possibly (hopefully) even the top 5, but it's reasonable to think someone else may beat her out for the #1 spot. A lot of women who visit this website may not watch the video blogs and, even if they do, the lighting on them is pretty bad so you can't tell how gorgeous she really is. Also, since Jill hasn't been in any mainstream films-- at least not yet (*fingers crossed*)-- and not everyone gets Logo or watches Dante's Cove (I definitely don't), she is not as widely known as many other beautiful women. Finally, as Sarah Warn noted, not everyone posts who they voted for. Nevertheless, a lot of people who did not post their picks probably still read the Top 100 forum thread, and some may have misconstrued the support in the forum for Jill as representative of the total voting population and then decided not to vote for Jill because they figured she was already receiving enough votes (*tear*).

Of course, this is all conjecture, but I think a number of factors affect deciding who to vote for. What will be interesting for me to see is whether a celebrity's increased presence/visibility over the last year will affect her spot on the list. For example, now that she plays a bisexual on House, I predict that Olivia Wilde will move up on the list (she also looks much better with dark hair). With The Sarah Connor Chronicles getting renewed for next season and the homage paid to her by Dee and Jenn's vlog (Come With Me If You Want to Live), I also think Lena Heady will be making another appearance in the top 10. Likewise, after the success of Juno, Ellen Page will almost certainly move upwards several notches (did she even make the list last year? I can't remember).

I agree with pys3star that at least one of the L Word ladies will make it in the top 10 (my money's on Sarah Shahi and/or Kristanna Loken), but it wouldn't surprise me if more made it, especially considering how many people love Leisha Hailey. The frustration expressed last year over Laurel Holloman not making the list, coupled with a general increase in the likeability of her character on The L Word, make me predict that she'll be somewhere on the list this year, but I doubt it will be in the top 10. The same thing goes for Gabrielle Christian (Mandy Musgrave made the list last year and she didn't).

And though she will continue to be my #1 pick, I think Angelina Jolie will move further down the list because I think lesbians/people generally are looking for someone newer/younger. Similarly, I think the lesbian/bisexual population's frustration/annoyance with Michelle Rodriguez will cause her to move down the list. I have other predictions as well, but I think this is enough speculatin' for one night.

To Sarah or Whomever Compiles the Final List: Next to each woman who makes it, will you please put what number they were last year or whether this is their debut on the afterellen.com top 100?

Well if AE ever has a Lesbian and Bisexual Women Top 100, of course Jenn, Dee, Jill and Karmen would be on mine. Well any way my number one woman has to be Ms. Helen Folasade Adu or the lead singer of Sade, yes ladies I'm going old school. Her voice is pure sensual magic that will make you melt. Shes also very beautiful. Hopefully you agree!

If this top 10 list is anything like the race between Obarma and Cliton- it's gonner be a long and bumpe road before we have the choosen ones. I can't wait to see if my 10 fravorite women made it- hopefully they did.. Well I must be patient, but it's hard!

 

I am only certain who is at the top of my list, no other than the one the only Jill Bennett (insert scream here).  Could not place everybody else, could not place a name before another name if that makes sense, so I just voted for Jill.  Jill I am sure of.

I really want Tegan and Sara should get it because hello they are amazing singers, they are funny, and they are beautiful...they are some deep chicks and just deserve it..they just came out with a new CD which is full of heart and soul..everyone should vote for them even if they dont get #1 least give them #2 lol they're CD has really helped me and a few people I know get through some hard times

I'm hopin Angelina could reclaim the title.

 

But I think it may turn out to be betwen Jill and Leisha.

i have this feeling that leisha hailey is going to move down the list. shes still lovely, its just she has so much talent to compete against!

And with regards to the AE ladies, the people who have written their preferences in the forum are more likely to be dedicated afterellen users who watch all the vlogs, whereas i think many of the 10,000 will just be casual users. i know i've made my gay friends who don't normally use afterellen vote!

 Twill be intresting to find out whose number 1.....I tink it will be Angie tho, altho there are lots of Jill vibes on here, either way I'm happy I voted ofr both of um....woot im on the edge of my godarn seat! :)

my personal list included rose rollins, alicia keys, sara ramirez (callie from gray's anatomy), angelina jolie, and sonja sohn (kima from The Wire....a lesbian character btw). these are the only ones i remember. but out of those, i am pretty sure alicia, rose, and angelina will all make an apperance in the top 100. maybe even sonja since this is the wire's final season.

Jill might be higher then Bridget. But, probaly not by much. They are both wounderful gorgeous women though. But, as for #1 SARAH SHAHI.Cause she is a fire you just cant put out!!!

hey! Sarah Warn, maybe you could put a little asterisk next to the names of the ladies who had an overlap with Maxim's hot 100 list, and tell where they placed on theirs. that way we all can see if a certain lady placed higher on Maxim's list than ours. i know i always find that sort of thing interesting.

Any chance she'll even make the list this year? I don't think she's had any visible projects this past year (save for an appearance on CSI), but it'd be nice to see her recognized, if only for being awesome enough to graciously carry out that putrid exit storyline on The L Word.

Plus, she's dreeaamy and hilarious.
