Sick of Sarah

Before you all get mad at me, I am not sick of sarah warn or any other sarah out there for that matter. I just wanted to promote this band "sick of sarah" that I discovered on youtube. Sick of Sarah began in Minneapolis, MN in April 2005 as an all-female band with catchy hooks, unique lyrics, and thoughtful, well-crafted music. The band displays talent, passion, and an ever-present sense of humor that shapes many of their songs. They combine sympathetic acoustic moments with driving electric rock, often in the same song. With influences ranging from John Fohgerty to Joan Jett, Sleater-Kinney to Vanessa Carlton, Sick of Sarah brings an energy and blended alternative pop-rock style that will have you singing along after the first chorus. youtube channel http://youtube.com/sickofsarah myspace http://www.myspace.com/sickofsarah I loove their music and they're openly gay! Well, some of them, I don't have a myspace so I can't view the others' profiles. Check them out, you won't regret it! :)

I listen to them!

Sick of Sarah is pretty awesome. I first heard about them through the South of Nowhere fansite. I love how their lyrics are quite catchy. My favorite songs are "Mr. Incredible" and "Mother F****r."

If I ever start to think straight, this heart will start a riot in me.

Probably...

Probably my most listened to band currently, whenever I get home I flip open my laptop and go to their My space page to listen to their music :P. I heard of them through a project (some kid made a music video for his book report using the song "Paint Like That").

On the Brink....

I am so happy that more people are getting interested in Sick of Sarah.  I am good friends with the band(and former roomate of the lead singer) and they are totally on their way to becoming famous.  Not only will one of their songs be on SoN, but the are also scheduled to do some stuff for Olivia at the end of the year.

So tell all your friends about the band!  New album is due to hit on August 18th.

They'll be performing at

They'll be performing at the Twin Cities gay pride, on the 28th, I'm super excited since I've recently become a fan of their music. I will endure En Vogue and Debrah Cox to see them.

ooh

Mr. Incredible sounds a little bit like songs by the Sahara Hotnights. I dig it.

My New Addiction

I first discovered this band a couple weeks ago thank to this site... and OH MY GOD, they're amazing. Their songs are sooo catchy. My favorites definately have to be Bittersweet and Breakdown. The fact that the entire band is made up of lesbians just makes it that much better. I can't stop listening to their music, they're a great group of people. Very real and they definately haven't let the attention get to their head. I really hope they make it big.

love them.

i love finding new music and bands, and they are a great find.  and their full length album is out now.  i'm not one to buy albums cause i like a song or two, but their album is ABSOLUTELY worth spending the 8.99 on itunes.  the self-titled album is full of killer catchy songs.  they also have a youtube account with tons of great behind the scenes videos, music videos, and live performances.  wow, i sound like their manager haha.  but yeah, their great, not to mention HOT and all out lesbians.  so anyway, take a listen, you won't regret it..
