Both ladies are gorgeous, but I want o see how the chemistry develops, and how the writers handle it in the long term. You can all watch the last episode featuring the girls on the BBC iplayer.

I think they looked very cute and sweet together and hopefully they won't screw them up.How lovable is Poppy and wow Peta is sooo gorgeous no wonder Poppy now prefers girls I'd go gay for Peta as well lol.I loved how almost the first thing Peta did was get her clothes off and walk around in a bikini and did you see the look Poppy gave her it was hot.

I know with it being an afternoon show we won't get much past hand holding and hugs but I still think they could do good things with this couple because they've made it clear they are very much in love and their not pretending they don't sleep together,that's a good sign.After a year or more without one lesbian on a UK soap having two is great (even if it's half Australian).

They don't leave it's says they make a surprise announcemnet at their leaving drinks i'm guessing it's that their staying.Poppy will want to be their for her friends,she's a possible suspect,Peta will be everyone's lawyer lol.And Poppy has to sort things with her gran.I love how everyone has just accepted them like any other couple and how they get alot of physical contact (ok no kisses but still good).

How can they judge a success rate on 6-7 episodes ridiculous.Their not planning to cancel it at least I hope they're not,i'm hoping they will produce at least the 130 episodes that were planned.Because they've already sold the soap to Aussie tv,they'll what to make their money back so selling the soap may be the only way and to that (if viewers don't pick up) they'll have to have a number of episodes to sell though.Do you Know how far in advance it's filmed?

If it gets cancelled I will be peeved their the only lesbian couple on a soap in like almost 2 years and the first lesbians in over a year,plus besides Dixie in Casualty (who gets about 30 seconds of screentime these days) the only lesbians on the main UK tv.Plus I love them their a great couple the BBC are idiots.

They should have put this show on at 1:40pm in "Neighbours" slot, and give it the late afternoon repeat too, but I think the fools at the beeb don't want everyone to think it's another "Neighbours", and if they continue on with the daft decisions it will certainly not be another "Neighbours". The girls are uber cute, and I would like to see them grow together as a couple, is that too much to ask for?

Overall this so far appears to be a very positive portryal, mainly because Poppy and Peta's relationship is very matter of fact and in no way sensationalised. Plus they are both hot, hot, hot! My only gripe is the absence of kisses!  - even though it's an afternoon show there's been considerable action between Jarrod and Tracy aired, which suggests that the producers might be holding back on the peta/poppy affection because it's a gay thing. Hmm... But onwards and upwards!

If there are kisses they will be very FEW and far between,i'm not really expecting to see any soon.It's an afternoon soap they rarely if ever show same-sex kisses and I don't see that changing,but to be fair I don't think any of the straight action we've seen has been all that strong either that scene with Jarrod and Tracey wasn't exactly sexy lol.

I'm just happy to have a lesbian couple on a soap it's been a long wait and I hope now we have one the BBC don't cancel OOTB.I agree with you about how they have been portrayed it's so refreshing to just have everyone except them as any other couple and not have angst (except Poppy's gran).They actually seem the most loving and stable couple on the show and I love them together,hope we'll be seeing them for a long time.Plus totally agree they are hot!!!.

the completely in your face all white cast, it's great to see some real lesbians on an australian show, no skye's one lesbian kiss in neighbours didn't count as the lesbian it was with was only on the show for a couple of weeks!

and omg peta, wow i'm not sure i've ever seen someone like that on TV before, and the first thing she does is take her dress off, man those scriptwriters may love us after all. *methinks i spoke to soon* although according to the recent episode i watched (I LOVE BBC IPLAYER, IT'S A GOD SEND) they made up with poppy's grandma, she was all "so what are you lesbians drinking nowadays?" but that hopefully means they're staying!

and btw if any of you wondered the guy playing jared (curly hair, wife, not yet turned crazy, bec's ex) is from the matrix, he's the little kid that neo had rescued and wanted to be like him and managed to help in the final battle.... am i the only matrix geek here?

Ah you missed that it was hot.It was her first episode and almost the first thing she did was get out of Poppy's car run down to the beach and whip off her dress and then you saw her in a very sexy bikini-god she is soooooooooo gorgeous.I think i'm a little in love (ok lust lol).

As for the pecks today yes they were sweet but I don't count them as kisses which I still think you won't be seeing many if any of.But they were so sweet and loving in todays episode,I love the writers of this show they have them acting like any other couple in love.How cute was it when Peta said 'loving you is the easist thing' or where Poppy was crying because her gran had lied about Peta and Poppy for all upset for her-they are definitely becoming one of my favourite lesbian tv couples.

But knowing soaps it won't be ending well they never do.Why is it only on for 4 days a week? that is just more proof that their not very hopeful for OOTB's future.Damn it we get a entertaining soap with a great lesbian couple and it's already faltering-typical.

Oh yes I did see her whip her dress off in the first episode lol, and yes she is gorgeous! The reason they have moved the show over to bbc two is 'cause it had crappy ratings so I think you right about the uncertain future of the show...

I wish the BBC had put the same amount of effort into marketing as they did commissioning the programme!

I havent seen any TV adverts in the build up to the pilot.

I think the BBC are just waiting for the episodes to end, they arent advertising and its not like they gave it a chance to get a substantial fanbase, after 8 episodes they had decided it wasnt doing well enough and were going to move it! come on how many viewers do they want in just over a week!!

I think this is a really good show and like the "normality" of the lesbian couple, no sensationalism or media created controversy, they simply show two people being affectionate and loving who just so happen to be women.

I hope it continues and has a longer run than anticipated!

or methinks it was yesterdays, i saw poppy once and i didn't even see peta at all!, jeez talk about lack of visibility!

They have had alot of visibility yes Poppy was in yesterdays and Peta was in todays without each other but that's actually the first time we've seen the girls in sperate scenes since Peta came into it.I would prefer they were in all scenes together because I love them but they aren't joined at the hip and have to do things separately.They actually have had a good few scenes together showing them as a loving couple since it started probably more than some of the other couples get.Infact it's been great how they've been treated and just used like any other couple on the show only more in love actually than the others.

Have to say wow Peta is a pitbull when she wants to be lol the way she just dismissed Deborah McManus and told off Poppy's gran she is going to be a fighter.I would like to see more of Poppy though other than Peta's GF and the kooky friend/granddaughter they haven't really told us about her career etc.But so far so good and a decent lesbian couple on a soap who are actually getting screentime-it's about time BBC.
