Joel Silver wants a "Wonder Woman" Genesis Movie

Too bad he doesn't say when this might actually take place. It's good that he's still interested in making the movie though.

I've been waiting for this movie to get made and was a little upset when Joss Whedon left the project. I kind of wanted it to be a period piece (during WWII when this great superhero was first created) but understand that it should be contemporary, it's easier for an audience to relate to the hero if it's set in modern times.

I'm hoping this movie gets made. Not just because Marvel is beating DC with number of movies made.

Yeah, I was really upset when I found out Joss left the project. All the Firefly fans were shouting for Morena Baccarin for some unknown reason -- I say Gina Torres would've made a totally kickass Wonder Woman. Sigh.
