long time listener, first time caller

hi.

i'm rachel. 24. i live in chicago, il, usa. i like to pretend i'm smart. i'm a student. i think it's hilarious that nerds are now "cool" because when i was growing up we were just lame. i've been watching a lot of flight of the conchords lately. my first movie crush was phoebe cates in fast times at ridgemont high. i like used book stores. that's stores with used books. not book stores that are used.

 that's all i got. anyway, hi.

Hi, I am quite new also, kinder. My name is Edie, I'm seventeen.

Um I really like used book stores too; second hand book stores. I tend to find everything I am looking for. Like, my favorite author is William Burroughs and he tends to turn up sooner or later; whereas in actual stores I have to order him, and then it takes excessive amounts of time. But yeah, I completly agree, as soon as I have money I go to second hand book shops.

Anyway it was nice to meet you and all.

Naked Lunch, yeah it is a great book. Highly disturbing yes, but genius all the same.

I tend to read books from the 1950's Beat Generation myself. Do you have any favorite authors / novels?
