"I dont like film and tv" she said. So, I directed her to a tonnnnn of lesbian bands and recording artists... "I like dance music" she said. I swear she loooves being this stereotypical hard done by lesbian, who the whole worlds against. But anyway, does anyone know any decent lesbian dance artists so I can quieten my self-pittying friend? Thanks in advance :) Rachel x Submitted by JaffaCakes (67 posts) on April 10, 2008 - 3:09pm. |

Lesbian music: Performed in the Key of L?
What makes lesbian music "lesbian music"? So stupid. Sorry, but.
Tell her to stop being anal, and listen to: Portishead, Morcheeba, Thievery Corporation, Broke Social Scene and Sneaker Pimps. Technically I am recommending trip-hop to you, but I am being presumptious and guessing that your friend has no taste anyway if you have to serve culture on plate for her.
While not aimed at lesbians, at the very least, it is good stripper/makeout/alone with a glass of wine music. Also some of this has featured on the L-word so if that makes it "lesbian culture", if she still won't buy it.
(Special: "Strangers" by Portishead is huh-maaaazing.)
I guess I'm a little late,
u should add
