there is an existing gay scene, although very discreet and obviously very illegal, but it does exist nonetheless. beach and house parties are the obvious, but be careful on how you display your sexuality in public hun. i learnt this from way too many mistakes. the CID, who are like the moral police in the UAE, are very strict when it comes to public displays of affection, fines and deportion are sometimes applied. just a few months ago 2 women were caught on mamzar beach in dubai cuddling and i quote, "acting like a married couple", have you ever heard of such rediculousness, but sadly it exists.

 first i have to warn all the members here, be careful when displaying information about yourselves and meetings, they do infiltrate this site and use it to track down people like us, i came across one and i know what im talking about.

 people, im sorry by freakin you out all by this, but it is necessary, as free dubai might look, but under all the glitz its a very strict muslim country, this is coming from a native who had enough of their rediculous rules. be extra cautious people, especially in public places, and dont meet up or talk to anyone randomly, be sure that whoever is you're gonna meet is actually a woman, and bring along a friend.

people should be as cautious as you are, and you're right, people in this forum who had a couple of posts and have been in here for a while should be avoided and not trusted, you never know.

guys i know all of you want to be careful and your right to do that especially with what we hear and read in the papers, but still we cannot go and profile everybody as suspicious!! Dubai already have all kind of lesbians/gay people and they've been living with no issues and they will continue to do so as long as they are discreet and not attracting attention!!

Hey Everyone!!

Most probably moving to Dubai at the end of August.  Don't know if it is a crazy decision considering my lifestyle but I don't want to let who I am hold me back from this expereince.  It's a scary decision moving to a country so far away but even more so when it is a strict muslim country.  Moving over with my friend, who is as straight as they come, so I'm glad I won't be totally lonely but it would be nice to meet some people that share the same interests as myself!  From reading threads I fell happy to realise that there are some lesbian ladies in Dubai but sad that it's all so secretive and fearfull!! :(

the article mentioned above proved me right when i said that even this site is heavily watched, and im being wary about the reason why its still unblocked, probably an easy acess to locating and capturing more lesbians or some demonic plan like that.

 im sorry to say this but yes, im suspicious of everyone in here, everyone who isnt a personal freind of mine.

 again, i suggest to everyone to be more careful, god knows whats the future beholds for us, i for one is not looking forward to it. :(
