LORD could they have trashed that ending any more? What in the hell was IC thinking?
The only redeeming parts were Helen's return and TiBette together again. The rest was garbage, predictable, irresponsible and unconscionable, not to mention senseless. Shall I tell you how I really feel?
Way too over the top for Shane to hook up with Nikki...And THERE at the closing party even.
I'm not sure where all of these problems arose with Alice and Tasha. Very little foreshadowing there. I guess PMSing is all the foreshadowing needed...
I loved seeing Bette and Tina together again as a couple. That was the most redeeming thing about this episode. Oh, and sticking it to Dawn Denbo.
Jodi. [sighs] Well, I bet we won't see her next season after this ending. It was obvious early on that she would do something shocking to get back at Bette -- But this was just too much for me. And seeing her in the background grinning at Bette's discomfort. God.
I completely agree. Shane and Nikki hooking up was totally unnecessary, and I don't understand where the problems with Alice and Tasha came from either. I have a feeling Ilene Chaiken will be getting a lot of hatemail.
I didn't see any problems either. just that they stopped giving them anything to say together. I understand that there would be adjustment problems with TAsha..but they didn't really do it justice. If that's the source of the problems, it would have been nice if they had shown it. whatever. my dumb will be watching next January when this show comes back on... :)

jenny: i think she's psychotic. what do i do?
i agree with you! like wtf! shane was my favorite character until now. that was just ridicoulous. besides i never like nikki anyway i always thought she was a bitch. and tasha a great gf! i dont know why shes about to cheat on her.
that is wondering WTF that was. I was terribly bored through most of the episode.
I don't see ANY chemistry between Alice and what's her face (she'll always be the unstable little girl that killed her mother in Heavenly Creatures to me). I feel like the gave up on alice and tasha. I don't have much to say... I guess if saw any sparks between Aice and what's her face, it would make sense.
Shane and Nikki? whatever. Shane would not do that to her friend. She wouldn't. That was the only consistency in her character (well, besides being a ho I guess)...she was a good friend. or so I thought.
Ooohhh..Adele and Begonia are a couple. She changed the end of the movie...oohhh. Was that it with the Adele thing? I was still expecting more...not sure what, just something more.
Helena coming back was great. Maybe she can return to her type A, kick ass self. Did we ever find out if Peggy was ok? The quirky ending to the Shebar thing was ok...predictable, but it was cute (read: Seeing Dawn Dembo was a relief considering how the rest of the show dragged on).
Bette and Tina - I love seeing them together. Especially seeing each of them having their own life and coming home to each other. I liked that. but baby talk? already? come on...speaking of babies...angelica saying, "are you going to honk the horn?" was typical adorableness from Miss Olivia.
Jodi's show. alright...I was expecting a little more discussion from the friends about what happened. Kinda like Helena showing up...no one seemed surprised to see her or anything.
I blinked and therefore almost missed Max. Why wasn't he at the wrap party?

I'm going to bed.
yeah i dont understand the wholle adele thing. ani thiink alice is just tired of tasha. its obvious that tasha loves her more. ugh alice is sort of getting on my nerves
Ok, what was that about Jenny saying "I gave you nothing. (dramatic pause as the camera pans to her) You stole it from me." And then she blabbers about having a great time etc. etc. What was that?! I have a theory that she was being "professional." I also have a feeling that Adele and Begonia (a star?!) had this deal going right from the start. As much as I detest Adele, that was pure genius.
Clap for Jodi.Way to humiliate Bette. That's exactly what she deserves, a true humbling experience. Bam! That too, was pure genius.
HELENA!! Helena...omg helena...she looks so tan, so gorgeous, so exotic, so Tahitian?! That--that is TOO humble! But she's back, and given that Mummy is coughing up what seems to be her last breaths (hope not), it looks like she's back for good. Whew!
SHANE?! That was so not Shane there. First, she gets her girlfriend to dump her, next, she hooks up with her bestfriend's girlfriend? Hell! Shane didn't even touch Carmen when she and Jenny were together. No no no no. Shane's not like that. Are they trying to make us hate the most lovable character of the show? I think that bong was shared around too much. What were they thinking?!
Oh my damn, that ending was terrible. Having a friend like Shane, why on earth would you want an enemy, talk about a stab in the heart there......Geez, I highly doubt that Ilene Chaiken is really going to do a whole hell of a lot with only 6 episodes for the final season. Oh well, that's Hollyweird for ya..... ;-)
I told my girl last week watch that Shane and nikki would end up doing something and Jenny would catch them......And 6 episodes won't be enough for the final season.
I was happy to see Bette and Tina get back together, i saw it coming from last season and this season it just came together, they just have a chemistry that goes unmatch. The way the move together on the dance floor, was soo, HOT, Hot. It was just how i wanted to see them again.
So for Helena I am happy that she is back and in good form, back to old self again. Alice and Tasha I think is a great couple, i dont see them breaking up, they too have a good connection, i hopes it work out.
Jenny will be jenny and Shane will be shane as we all no her to be the lover of the gang. I am happy that it is coming back again, cant wait.
I'm sorry people. But Angelica stole the WHOLE damn show. I wasn't even paying attenting to Bette and Tina in the beginning b/c she is just too damn adorable.
Moving along, I don't really expect much intellect or reasonable expectation of consistency or continuity. Character assassinations going on left and right. That is the only thing consistent about this show.
I would never expect Jodi to do THAT. She has lot more dignity than that. And give me a break with the baby talk ALREADY between Bette and Tina. Seriously? Are you f*cking serious? Whatever.
Helena looked HOTTT! Really happy to see her return with her badass, but humbled, self. Too bad Dusty didn't trek it back with her. Sigh.
I don't know...is it just me or did this season treat the implication of a DV-like relationship between DB and Lover C a bit too flippantly? Not amused at all.
As for Shane and Nikki. Dunno. Peope *do* things in the heat of the moment. Even loyal friends like Shane. It happens. People make mistakes. I find it credible. The scene was obviously a nod to when Tim walked in on Jenny and Marina from season 1. I wonder whether the implication is, by way of this scene and the Lez Girls movie ending, that Jenny will go back to men because she can no longer trust women, who only seem to break her heart.
Alice and Tasha are unraveling -- came out of nowhere so not much to say about that. And I'm sorry but why the f*ck is Alice dressed like a nun? Weird.
Adele -- um, anyway. (i have to admit she does look sexy when she smokes. hot.)
Molly -- probably a better, more complex, mature person than I thought she would be.
Kit needs a better storyline. Hope she gets some next season.
And of course I loved the waltz scene between Bette and Tina. I was opposed to these two getting back together at the beginning of the season. But like the f*cking fool that I am, I couldn't help but melt at the sight of these two damned fools waltzing. Lectrifying, indeed.
Fun season. Hard to believe it's been 5 seasons. Looking forward to the last 8 episodes. Cheers and good night.
I can honestly say (and agree with everyone else) that the ending to the season finale was SUCH a disappointment! I thought maybe, just MAYBE IC would decide that Shane had worked through at least *some* of her issues, realized she made a huge mistake with Molly, and actually tried to right her wrong. Of course not. Her relationship ended it the way it will always ends until IC realizes it's okay for Shane to have a healthy, long term relationship and that the fans will STILL love her!
Jenny is psychotic but I can't help but feel sad for her. :-/ Shane was one of the few people she had left and as she said....Shane broke her heart. I hate waiting so long for a new season. It better be good! Let's hope they bring Carmen back like some people are saying because that would make it all worth it ;-)
Okay was it really necessary to imply that Tasha is a flirt with a possible drinking problem? They couldn've just fallen out of love or something, without having to give Alice some bullshit excuse to feel justified in leaving/cheating on/whatever Tasha.
I actually had to RANT after this episode. Does anyone else care about character continuity AT ALL?! GAH.
1. Alice and Tasha's story has become a complete disaster. They hinted at a racial "issue" in one of the last episodes... and maybe some stress with moving in.. but c'mon since when does sassy Alice want some stammering chick with a scooter? She giggled and Alice thought... screw my relationship. I'm gay and therefore the gods/IC can't allow me to deal with this in a healthy adult manner. I'd talk to Tasha but I'm too busy holding some random girl's hand on a bridge for no obvious reason.
2. Did they have to crucify Shane's character by making her hook up with Nikki? Shane may be "slutty" but she has some sense of decency, not to mention the fact that she loves Jenny. She was taking artsy pictures of Molly 2 seconds ago. GAH. What was that!?! AND WHO HOOKS UP AT A PARTY LIKE THAT?!! Christ. Not even Shane.
3. Jenny wimping out on Adele like that? Isn't crazy Jenny more fun.. and always crazy? She was just ordering everyone around and making people do her chores, and now she is some Betty Letsbefriends all of a sudden at the exact moment she should be kicking ass and taking names... just no.
4. Jodi might be pissed and all, but she has always been a classy lady and an artist. I'm not buying it at all. Not even a little bit. Stupid writing.
5. I don't want to watch tv that reinforces the negative stereotypes about lesbians so blatantly. So basically being a lesbian gives you, statistically speaking, a 0.0343% chance at a healthy adult relationship. Great. Oh and your friends will chase after the women you fall in love with, with their blind dyky lust. Fantastic. They even had to hint that it wasn't working out with Dusty and Helena on the island paradise because god knows the lesbians can't work it out.
IC, you are on my sh*t list. I said it after you took Dana away and I'm saying it again. Ridiculous. Totally ridiculous. Why don't you go ahead and spend season 6 on lesbians in a desperate search for sperm... because really it can't get much worse.
You kids really need to take your panties out of that humungo knot and give IC a freakin' break. Seriously, if you REALLY hate everything that she does with this show.. then why the frick are you still watching it?
And especially all of you who are still whining about Dana - it was bound to happen! Breast cancer is a huge issue with women in our society. To have some random character with no heart die of breast cancer would be incredibly inconvenient and uneffective. It helped raise tremendous awareness and we all cared deeply that someone we LOVED dearly passed on due to this cancer. This is very much like real life.
If you didn't know - we don't get to pick and choose who dies of cancer in our life.
These characters all have reasons why they did what they did in this episode. Maybe we'll all have answers in the 6th season. And to whoever said Shane would never do what she did with Niki.... dude... what she did with Niki doesn't hold a candle to what she did to Carmen.
People, it's a television show! It wouldn't be nearly as interesting if everything was all sunshine and rainbows in the end.
I particularly like that IC created massive waves. It's all going to come full circle and I wouldn't be surprised if they sent Jenny packing and out of L.A. next season.
Everything is not always sunshine and rainbows in television or in life. Was anyone thinking that Niki was going to fall over the balcony while getting serviced by Shane? If you watch Nip/Tuck, you will totally understand the reference......LOL!! ;-)
That would be been awesome. Okay, well not awesome, but that would have been a finale! Nip/Tuck -- I don't know why I still watch that show. I guess because it's so shocking.
I actually watched the first episode of the first season back in 2003 and decided not to watch anymore because of the obvious sterotypes (mainly at the time I was put off by Shane's character). But in the last year I have become a Youtube addict, and started watching scenes from the show, and really got interested in the characters, so I went back and watched all the episodes. Now I give huge kudos to Ilene for developing this show and getting it on the air - and God only knows when we will see another series representing us - but dang, IC does have a preference for negative outcomes!
I mean, yes the breast cancer story was important. But how about a little hope for those viewers terrified with their diagnosis? Right now the survivor rate is at 80% after 5 years. But nope, Dana gets the shaft (along with us viewers). And Lu says it - in IC's world, there is no such thing as an emotionally stable lesbian. And no such thing as a happy ending either. I also find myself aligning with the Tibetters, and I am very concerned that there is no way that their relationship will make it through Season 6 unscathed, because show me one relationship that has made it in the previous five seasons!
In truth, though, the writing has gone to S**T these past few seasons. No character depth, no continuity, too many characters, too many pointless sub-plots taking away from time that could have been used to build character depth and continuity....yup, it all sucks.
"You might just as well say," added the Dormouse, who seemed to be talking in his sleep, "that 'I breathe when I sleep' is the same thing as 'I sleep when I breathe'!"
Glad to see I'm not the only one who was disappointed. Perhaps I expected too much for a SEASON FINALE?...not that that's gonna stop me from tuning in next season. I really will miss this show despite its glaring inconsistencies and questionable storylines. Shane and Nikki? Really?
I admit to loving TiBette, the hopeless romantic in me melts during the scenes with the two people who genuinely seem to belong together. Did anyone else think "High Art" with Shane's little photography session? That seemed pretyy random. Helena's back! And tougher than ever apparently...yum ;)
But really WGN has stripped Kit of any respect I may have had for her. Now when she speaks all I hear is "girl? giiiirrrl! girrrl." (Although I think she might've actually said that in this episode - just like Ms. Bennett does it HAH!)
I can't believe I've gotta wait till next year (2009?!?!) to see how this all works out......and here's hoping Carmen will somehow return for the final season ::crosses fingers::
Mama Cee saved the knockout punch for the end and I liked it.
Some comments are saying essentially "that's so not Shane" but she humilated both Carmen and Paige, so why wouldn't she do it to Jenny? It made sense. Shane had feelings for Molly but it didn't work out and Shane shifted back into "Promiscuous Girl" mode to heal her wounds. At the restaurant, Shane was only thinking of herself. Did she mean to hurt Jenny? No but sex is Shane's therapy...
I can only hope IC doesn't even think of entertaning a "Shenny" hook-up. *roll eyes* *yawn* Shane's true love is Cherie Jaffe because reckless knows reckless and Cherie will let Shane have her one night stands.
P.S. Venting: Please stop hoping for the return of Carmen. I know Sarah Shahi's hot but it's like you don't care that "Carmen" was f*cked over by Shane.
Why are people so eager to have Carmen return? Her time in the sun has passed; she had her time with Shane and even had some time to make a fool of Jenny. Shane has proven that she has the potential to change, but she chooses to remain her sex-crazed self. Carmen doesn't deserve to have her heart stomped on again and we all know it would happen eventually. Besides, it is safe to say that Shane is just a shell of herself considering she has obliterated her most stable and loving relationship. So, Shane's ability to love has been impaired permanently.
By the way, I am still in shock by that ending. How could Shane do that to Jenny?!
Shane, good person and all, often thinks with her libido first. It's not uncommon. Hopefully Mama Chaiken will give Shane her comeuppance next season because clearly that's the only way Shane will learn a lesson about love and respect.
Aside from everything that everyone has already said about this finale, did anyone else think that the way Dawn Denbo got the rug pulled from under her was just...not satisfying? With everything she did, with everything she put Kit through, that was it? That's how it ends?
It was the same when Adele blackmailed production into letting her direct the movie. With all that build-up, when the blackmail finally happened, it felt thoroughly incomplete.
My prediction was that we would find out that it was Denbo who had Kit robbed in the beginning, that she and her lover Cindi were playing "good cop, bad cop" with the group, and that they somehow got Adele involved in their plans after the party at Shenny's house to get back at the entire group. And that later on, they would not count on Helena to come back and whoops their butts. That outcome may have been way too dramatic, but what came out instead...it all felt anticlimactic.
I'm still checking out the final season to see how it ends, though.

"It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities"
That crap they pulled with Shane was just evil. Besides that, all I really care about is Bette and Tina. That dance scene was so romantic, it made my night. Unlike most people here, the selfish part of me did not want a sixth season. I didn't want IC to get the opportunity to cause me angst by messing up Bette and Tina's relationship again. Oh well, I'll still be watching when it comes back on.
So now that i'm not in shock/brain dead from thet episode...
TiBette - i don't have much to say about TiBette. I cared about them maybe 7 episodes ago. Then they took too long, so now i did'nt give a damn what happened to them. I'm also starting to get re-irritated with Tina again.
Jodi - Man. That piece. I understood why she did it, but it made no sense HOW. So you mean to tell me she videotaped/recorded Bette on the sly all those times? Where the hell did that come from? That whole scene made me say 'AwWwwW DEEEEEEEe-AAaaaaAAAaaammmmN!!!!!!' I agree it was harsh and let very very personal not just for Jodi but for Bette too (duh) but that..is art, i suppose. However I think she could have made the piece and kept it private, or at least not show it at an entire show. but DEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMNah!
Kit - I sweardaGod if i heard her say 'GiiIIiiRrrrrrrllLll!." onemore time in that 3 minute span I was gonna find that gun in the dumpster and start shootin. Kit was NOT that hood before!! COME ON!! Like, it's getting insulting now. I'm not saying give her a Scotish accent or something but damn.
Tasha y Alice - They really fucked me up with alice this season. Like, she turned into a complete bitch. Hasn't she always been the main one to fight for a relationship??!? Since when was it a good idea to take advice from SHANE? Bitch is you on the pipe!? While they look good together, it doesn't seem as though they had much in common from the jump, and just. ugh.
Denbo - I was expecting more of a production out of the fact that they bought out SheBar and got The Planet back, however seeing Denbo get pwned was funny, albiet totally expected. I didn't expect Helena to be back to aid in the pwnage, so that was awesome. The scene ran a little long though and was kinda anti-climatic as a result.
Shane and Molly - Ok I understand she felt all intimidated by Phyllis and felt the need to leave Molly but man that was shittily written. That was NOT the way to end it. Send her off for a drink and break up with her while she's on her way back? Weak, homeboy.
Shane and Nikki - of course. nikki's triflin, Shane's triflin. They had to hook up. At one point I thought Nikki was gonna fall over the edge and they were gonna have a murder case on their hands. Then i decided who needs an extra unfinished storyline?
Shane in general (lol) - really they've done everything possible with her character. I don't know where else they could go. And this is the SECOND time she's done some sht like that to Jenny..didn' she steal Carmen from her too?! You had to know something bad was gonna happen,. they spent too much extra time with Jenny/Shane BFF moments.
Jenny - Oh Ms. Schecter. She showed a GREAT deal of composure during all that. I felt So bad for her. Such a fragile creature. Oh yeah Shane..weren't you just congratulating her on how she really got through all the shit that happened and then you turn and do that? Man. Really what can you do but walk away from a friend that stole not one, but TWO women you were genuinely interested in?
Adele - that was it? I was still expecting more. Like a kidnapping/identity theft, or perhaps some sort of Jenny statue made out of ground turkey.
One thinf i noticed on this show is how people get their friends to handle their shit, then they show up confronting the people with their friends (while hiding behind said friend) then come out at the end to say something like 'Yeah! And STAy out!'. Really bad.
All in all, a rather disappointing season finale, But. I woulda been REALLY pissed had it been the Series Finale. I know I'll be back in 2009 to watch the last 8 episodes and hope that Alice gets her fucking act together Jesus Christ!!!
Oh yeah and I love some Isaac Hayes as much as anyone else but um...que?
Kit - I sweardaGod if i heard her say 'GiiIIiiRrrrrrrllLll!." onemore time in that 3 minute span I was gonna find that gun in the dumpster and start shootin. Kit was NOT that hood before!! COME ON!! Like, it's getting insulting now. I'm not saying give her a Scotish accent or something but damn.
Having watched TLW from the outset, I know what you mean. However, I really believe this is Pam's own doing i.e. to give the show some "flava". Besides, Mama Chaiken is so "lily" she couldn't come up with that mess on her own. LOL My girlfriends and I were rolling at Kit's "crazy white folks" line at the campfire (when Alice was telling the scary story). Among other African-Americans, I've chuckled about how Caucasians, particularly females, behave in these horror flicks, so Kit saying that brought back memories. ;-) Overall, Kit being "hood" doesn't bother me as much as Bette's lack of a black life. I wouldn't care had Jennifer Beals not been so vocal about "repping" for biracials. Last time I checked "bi" mean two but we don't see that in Bette Porter. IC must think Kit is enough to establish a black identity for Bette. It isn't. Not by a longshot.
This episode really did drag for me. sorry! It just wasn't a good episode. I'm not buyin' this season, man.
Tibette - WTH!!! I agree with everyone. Baby talk? Y'all haven't even decided where you're gonna be living! (ie. the conversation in traffic) You've been back together for like... 12 minutes! Chill out Bette. Also. That scene where Bette is in the bed with Tina and she's kinda clinging to her. Ok. That image stood out for me. It was desperation. Like Tina was her anchor. kinda sad. Bette said "How could she do that to me ... in front of my friends, students, people I care about." Wow. How selfish can you be Bette. What the hell do you think Jodi was feeling when she found out about your cheatin' heart? hmMmMmm??? However. I must say that I find it quite odd that Jodi would have all that Bette audio just ... layin around somewhere but. whatever.
Adele - booo. I wanted fireworks! SPiCE!!! Somethin' MAJOR. I really wanted her to lose. But it looks like Adele came out on top. who knew.
Shane - ::singing:: Wheeeeeeeeeeeere DO I begin?!?!!!!!
Ok. The conversation she had with Phyl in the gallery really did come off like that conversation Shane had with her father before she dumped Carmen. Some parental figure comes along ... tells Shane what her "nature" is. Shane gives them the wounded blank stare. Goes off and breaks someone's heart because she been reminded of what she is. "Not worthy." a "McCutcheon." Personally. I thought that was some lazy writing.
Shane & Nikki - wrong. all freakin' wrong. WTH?! WHY in the DEVIL were Shane and Nikki chasin' Jenny yellin' bullshit about friendship?!?!
"Hey guys?! Can't we all just be friends?!" -Nikki
"Jenny. I swear, I'm your friend." -Shane says while her face is still shiny from Nikki's love juice. not ok.
Jenny - I must say. Jenny won me over this episode. She really did. The look on her face when she told Shane she'd broken her heart was just ... wow. It was all in her eyes. That DAMN MIA is TALENTED!!!!
Alice and Tasha - ummm... WHEN THE HELL DID THEY MOVE?!?!!! I mean. Last time we heard they were arguing about how much their new place should be. Now. They're all settled in! ER? I knew they probably wouldn't last... but I was hoping IC would show the unraveling... instead of. One day they just weren't happy anymore and Alice meets this chick with a weird Scottish-British-Chinese accent and holds hands. MAN! I am gonna MISS TASHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG she was hott. Guess she's goin' to visit Papi and Ivan.
2009. SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeesh.
"Pessimism of the intellect must be accompanied by optimism of the will."
Angela Davis
LOL. Nice put there with the accent stuff to Alice's new flirt, or whatever she is/will be.
I will be really sad if Tasha isn't with us next season, all because of a little designer who has the same outfit as her flirt? Oh my, that's so... not hot?!
I vote for Tasha + Alice, they're so cute and good together!! I heart them. ;)
Why does this always happen, btw, good new characters enter the show - make us love them - and then they "have to" leave. I don't understand? Why? I love Tasha, and I enjoyed Papi very much. And Molly. And Kristanna Lokens character.. well.. it's like.. they don't have to disappear from the earth, do they?
Please, bring them back, some one at least. And don't take Tasha!
Ok, middle-of-the-night-thoughts. Not very logical.
cant beleive the whole season led up to this....serious let down to say the least.
i was actually yelling at the screen during the Nikki / Shane scene. Train wreck all the way.
I am bummed to say the least to see how this season ended. Arent they supposed to build up and create cliff hangers for the next season? didnt see one at all. but as devoted and addicted as i am, i will be tuned in waiting for the final season. Just hope its not as lame as the past few have been.
What's gonna happen with Jenny and Shane? (please no Shenny!!)
WTF is up with Bette talkin about another baby?!? (get it together, bette.) Is she trying to get knocked up this time instead of Tina?
Alice .. what are you doing? Are you gonna get tired of being the Token Gay? Are you gonna break Tasha's heart and leave her for the wierd New Zealandededed chick?
Leave it to Shane to do something destructive at the end of a season. I expected this from Nikki but not Shane. I really thought she had turned a corner by letting Molly go. This betraying a friend really seems inconsistent with her character but hey maybe Molly's the one who actually pushed her completely off the edge. And I really thought Nikki would fall over the balcony.
Poor Jenny. She ended in a completley different place than where she started this season. Mia SOLD that last line.
Adele and Lez Girls WTF? who would have thought Begona was involved?
Tibbetters got their ending and all I wanted was for them to get off the dance floor . But way to go Jodi. Low and a bit unlike her but she went out with a bang.
Alice Alice Alice.. omg this is so tragic. Who wants to bet next season Tasha dissapears and Clea and Alice are together. I know this is TV and stability doesn't sell but i'm getting the message that no relationship actually lasts.
Wow the return of Helena. She's looking especially wow for some reason.
Bye Bye DD. Finally Cindy Tucker gets her own.
I can't wait for next season.
Again WOW i'm speechless.
PS. It occured to me that if this had been the series finale then IC's message came out pretty clear: 1) there are no happy endings and shit really does happen- people breakup and friends betray you. 2) Bette and Tina are meant to be together and 3) Shane will be Shane- you can't fix people.
Holy-ca-molee, someone put me in a sleeper hold and take the pain away. I'm sorry but they've done my girl all wrong with no justice. And as much as I love Alice....
Alice, Tasha gave up her whole military career, military rep and identity, GOOD ASS BENEFITS, veteran benefits, friendship with Papi to be with you! Bitch, iz you really gonna start cheatin on her with some pokemon lookin broad? Dana didn't even give that type of commitment! And then the L word is gonna play Tasha like she has an alcoholic problem, no life and let her have some lame azz job? Tasha? Bitch iz you really gonna sit there and not go fill out some more apps and apply to schools? Get yo azz off the grass and go find your soul! I think you left it in Long Beach! No, you left it with the 2 cocoa girls at the bike ride...
Bette! Bitch, iz you already talkin about having another child?! You still need to get yo' life together! You still need to learn how to do your baby's hair! We can't have two porter kids walkin around lookin all garbage pail! With all that "gyrrrrlness" you'd think auntie Kit would know how to braid, or slap some vaseline, bows, and barrets on the child's head! And Kit stop doin me with all that "gyrrrrlness" because it is so T!
Shane and Nikki. For real? That was TOTALLY out of character! It would of made more sense if Shane went back to Cherie J's crib and jumped in the pool, come out, and snort a line of coke! And everyone's on Shane, what about Nikki's behavior? She came on to Shane first! And outside on a ledge? Really? Is that like, supposed to be sexy? Cuz it looked freakin stupid...And then Shane popped up with Nikki's shagging godiva all on her face? Set the reel on fire, someone please!
.... I'll save the rest of the rant for scrbgrrrls blog
Alice, Tasha gave up her whole military career, military rep and identity, GOOD ASS BENEFITS, veteran benefits, friendship with Papi to be with you!
Nah, that was totally up to Tasha. Tasha was given an out, thanks to Alice's courtroom outburst, and instead of taking it and being allowed to stay in the military, she chose to leave. That was all on her, not Alice. Alice shouldn't be responsible for a decision that Tasha chose to make. Saying that she did it for Alice would totally negate the point of the storyline.
I understand the whole point of the storyling. I'm negating the storyline of gays in the military at all! But she did do it so she could "freely" be who she wanted to be with, namely Alice
I'm not putting the decision on AL. I want Alice to consider that their relationship was a HUGE factor in the reason Tasha dropped out the military! That their relationship has sacrificed Tasha's whole social lifestyle! If Tasha didn't care about Alice the way she does, she'd still be in the service today, and somewhere hanging with the 2 cocoa girls....
Oh yes, I agree that Alice was much of the reason that Tasha chose to leave. It just seemed like you were putting a bit too much of the blame on Alice. In retrospect, Alice did diss the armed services a lot because of their policies towards gays (which I completely understand, of course), and I'm sure that was added strain on Tasha as well.
You know, speaking of Alice and Tasha -- What the hell happened with the storyline of outting that basketball player? I mean, Alice signed a non-disclosure contract -- What happened with that?
The closet party storyline was ridiculous in the first place. Why would Alice--who is very openly gay, has a podcast about her life, and had a radio show (about the chart no less!) at one time--be invited to a party for closeted, powerful people? There had to have been some hesitation in allowing Alice to be at this party. Who made up that invitation list?
I was hoping Alice would have to do some explaining for outing the NBA star, but I guess the storyline was only a springboard to land her on The Look. Though I love Alice, I am disappointed; I wanted her to deal with the consequences of her blabbing. But, there is a sliver of hope that Alice will have to deal with that non-disclosure agreement now that she is a rising star.
a few have already beein pointed out - but thought I'd add some comments:
- Isn't Jodi and Industrial Sculpturist? All of her artwork that we've seen has been huge sculptures- right? where did the video art come from? When my TLW watching buddy asked how Jodi got the video - I said, "she stole it from the show" - cause where else would she get it, right?
- I thought it was very unlike Jodi to be that vengeful as well.
- I agree that Shane's one consistent feature is that she values her friends over all else (i.e. walked out with Jenny when she got fired). Even though Shane was in "that destructive place" I don't think she would have done that to Jenny. I was yelling at the screen too!
- Alice has been off all season, especially now with Tasha. She has no reason to be thinking about anyone else. Tasha needs some time to find her footing after the Army, usually Alice would be right there in support. It looks like they are manufacturing reasons for Alice to be unhappy - i.e. $$ differences, Tasha's old friends, the Police force, etc. It might be the clothes. If I had to wear what Alice has been wearing this season I'd probably take it out on whoever got in the way.
- Kit never was a "just take it" or "get a gun" kind of character. I totally expected her to have started drinking again.
- Jenny - well she's just crazy in a new way this season so I guess that's a form of consistency. At least we didn't have to have circus flashbacks or manatees.
- back to Shane - I thought that since Molly didn't give her the normal response when she so intentionally tried to upset her she would have reacted differently. But she went right out and did the same thing. Why give Molly a mature reaction to that flirting - and not have Shane think twice??
That's all. Oh, except that YEA!!! Helena is back and in jeans and Tahiti-shirt. WOW! she looks good that way. "its Tucker....not her lover cindi..." HA!
I'm sorry I just can't believe you have Opus for your picture! I loved Bloom County! I had a stuffed Opus, and my ex-gf TOOK him in the break-up!! (Some 15 years ago, but still!) Anyway....ahem....cool picture...
And yeah, all I was thinkin' about during the Shane/Nikki scene was how that girl was gonna go whoopsie over the edge of the railing. Which actually would have been a cooler outcome.
"You might just as well say," added the Dormouse, who seemed to be talking in his sleep, "that 'I breathe when I sleep' is the same thing as 'I sleep when I breathe'!"
oh my god.
OH MY GOD.
oh my god.
I got a dick like a mule...with a big dick.
Yes.
WHAAAAAA???
what the HELL was that?
was anyone else more than just a little unhappy about that ending?
jenny: i think she's psychotic. what do i do?
pie and katrina. my thoughts
GOOD GRIEF!!!
LORD could they have trashed that ending any more? What in the hell was IC thinking?
The only redeeming parts were Helen's return and TiBette together again. The rest was garbage, predictable, irresponsible and unconscionable, not to mention senseless. Shall I tell you how I really feel?
Over the top
God.
_________
I completely agree. Shane
I completely agree. Shane and Nikki hooking up was totally unnecessary, and I don't understand where the problems with Alice and Tasha came from either. I have a feeling Ilene Chaiken will be getting a lot of hatemail.
jenny: i think she's psychotic. what do i do?
Alice and Tasha
omg

It's good to see I'm not the only one..
that is wondering WTF that was.
I'm going to bed.
yup

You stole it
Ok, what was that about Jenny saying "I gave you nothing.
Dragon. Grrowl!
i agree, i totally hated the
Wow, that ending was WACK!!!!!
I kind of knew it....
bette and tina
Mindless Eye Candy -- Random musings
Cheers and good night.
maybe if I watch it again I won't be disappointed a second time?
Let's hope they bring Carmen back like some people are saying because that would make it all worth it ;-)
Okay was it really necessary
What the fu...
Whew.
Applause
EXACTLY.
-----
Geoffrey: You fool! As if it matters how a man falls down.
Richard: When the fall is all that is left, it matters a great deal.
- The Lion in Winter
Calm Down!!!
That's the end of my rant. Thank you.
Agreed
People, it's a television show! It wouldn't be nearly as interesting if everything was all sunshine and rainbows in the end.
I particularly like that IC created massive waves. It's all going to come full circle and I wouldn't be surprised if they sent Jenny packing and out of L.A. next season.
True, true.....
Yep!!
Hehe
That would be been awesome. Okay, well not awesome, but that would have been a finale! Nip/Tuck -- I don't know why I still watch that show. I guess because it's so shocking.
_________
Now for a newbie rant...
But it is fun to rant about - so its not ALL bad.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You might just as well say," added the Dormouse, who seemed to be talking in his sleep, "that 'I breathe when I sleep' is the same thing as 'I sleep when I breathe'!"
"It is the same thing with you," said the Hatter
Really?
Lil Drummer Girl - I was thinking the SAME thing!
~ I can resist everything but temptation~
The ending was the best part.
My thoughts exactly!
How could Shane do that to Jenny?!
Just Two Things
--------------------------------------
"It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities"
That crap they pulled with
That crap they pulled with Shane was just evil.
Man.
I got a dick like a mule...with a big dick.
Just speculation: I think it's Pam's choice.
It isn't. Not by a longshot.
damn. 2009. ouch.

LOL. Nice put there with the
Well, whatever. Spoke my mind. ;)
Cheers!
All I can say is....
I can't wait for scribegrrrl to make it all better. Kiss the hurties away.
what a let down
cant beleive the whole season led up to this....serious let down to say the least.
i was actually yelling at the screen during the Nikki / Shane scene.
Re:cliffhanger
a wha wha?
there were a whole bunch of cliffhangers!
Please NO SHENNY!!
I got a dick like a mule...with a big dick.
OMG ...WOW!!!
LOL at that PS!! Hahaha. So
LOL at that PS!! Hahaha. So true!!
:D
Tasha rant (rant on people! rant freakin on!)
Tasha's Choice
Nah, that was totally up to Tasha. Tasha was given an out, thanks to Alice's courtroom outburst, and instead of taking it and being allowed to stay in the military, she chose to leave. That was all on her, not Alice. Alice shouldn't be responsible for a decision that Tasha chose to make. Saying that she did it for Alice would totally negate the point of the storyline.
_________
Oh, Harpster
http://youtube.com/watch?v=-w1IRmKiHGA
I understand the whole point of the storyling. I'm negating the storyline of gays in the military at all! But she did do it so she could "freely" be who she wanted to be with, namely Alice
I'm not putting the decision on AL. I want Alice to consider that their relationship was a HUGE factor in the reason Tasha dropped out the military! That their relationship has sacrificed Tasha's whole social lifestyle! If Tasha didn't care about Alice the way she does, she'd still be in the service today, and somewhere hanging with the 2 cocoa girls....
:)
_________
Oh, yeah... the Non-Disclosure agreement
I have so many hopes for Season 6...
inconsistent
a few have already beein pointed out - but thought I'd add some comments:
OH MY GOD IT'S OPUS!
