Last season pushed back to fall premiereI cannot believe my eyes... Read it yourselves: "While sorting through the mountains of feedback that you have shared with us about the show , we realized that if we really want to give South the proper send-off it deserves, we're going to need more time. So we decided to move the premiere date to the fall. I know it's going to be hard to wait for the final season , but we've planned a lot of special material (retrospectives, a final webisode, cast-vommented episodes, podcasts and more) to say goodbye to this beautiful, important series, and we really don't want to rush it. It is out of respect for the show and for you, the fans, that we're trying to give it the time and attention it deserves. You Have Got To Be Kidding Me
WHAT?!?
Not only did they decide to cancel the show, but they make the fans wait a year (maybe even longer) for the last season?! This is the 2nd time it has been changed!
No wonder they stopped showing Season 1 and Season 2 reruns. I was hoping to capture all episodes on digital video and edit all Spashley moments into one long video. Since I'm still missing a few episodes, I don't know when I can finish it.
Edited To Add: I just read the entire announcement. Apparently, part of their reasoning is to air it alongside new episodes of Degrassi so South of Nowhere can reach a broader audience. In my opinion, that was a thinly disguised statement saying "Screw South of Nowhere, and long live Degrassi." WTF!?

"It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities"
Nothing like taking Spashley fans good intentions...
It's ridiculous
The whole thing is Bullsh*t. First it was gonna start in Feb then they changed it to April and Now F-ing September! WTF! If it's already cancelled why does it matter if more people
see it or not????

Garbage
Ouch
This has the distinct ordor of a desperate move to shore up the gaping void that is supposed to be the N's schedule. I bet some idiot at the parent company used the writers' strike to void a bunch of development agreements for new shows (which a bunch of other companies did) without paying sufficient attention to the fall schedule. So now, the N has very little content for fall and is doing this to fill out it's time slots and get some halfway decent ratings.
Something else; this probably blocks the show's producers from seeking other venues to move SON to. While SON is still "on" the N, it's unlikely that Logo or anyother company will pick it up.
Whatever the reason, this is not being done out of respect to the show or it's viewers.
it's got to be a freaking joke!!!
I heard this in th latin south of nowhere forum and I honestly thought it wasn't 100% true, but now I know it it... :( it's just so ridiculous!! it seems like The-N is trying to become the most hated channel!!!
these people are killing us!!
and they say this 2 weeks before the premiere!!! they are really getting in my last nerve!!
P.S.
when will the last season of the L word start?? won't there be a conflict?? cause i really want the Terrible Three to recap South...!!
