Burlesque!! Is big beautiful?

I went to the Immodest Teast Show last night (TITS). I love burlesque, and it was ELECTRIC! Best bit being Immodesty Blaize (the star of the show) riding a huge swarovski crystal encrusted rocking horse, dressed in victorian styled riding gear...hat, corset, skirt, suspenders, feathers...it was something quite amazing to behold.

Now, I was thinking how big some of the burlesque women were, not so much Immodestly Blaize (she has perfect hourglass figure) but the likes of Dirty Martini...well, pretty large. In all honesty I'm usually a fan of toned limbs and tight butts. But perhaps I've been missing out?? I couldn't believe how sexy these women were. It did also make me feel better about my body image and stop worrying about the pot belly I've nurtured during winter, but I also felt somewhat enlightened in thinking big can be super hot.

What do you think? IS BIG SEXY? Or is it only worn well on the beautifully well groomed, or a glittered corset on stage? Who in the public eye is big and beautiful in your opinion?

(teehee yes of course it's all down to important things like personality at the end of the day, but lets thats not the subject at hand)

If we're speaking superficially, I think it depends on the package. Everybody looks better when they are well groomed and well dressed (in a style that complements them). I think people who are in better shape can get away with dressing down and still be attractive. Bigger women, not so much.

Speaking of nakedness, a woman can look great in clothing; but, once she steps out of them...ugh. That goes for anyone. I've seen women whom I thought were in shape (or skinny) and when they took off their clothes, there weren't nothing nice. i think it's a bigger disappointment meeting a smaller woman and finding out she's not in good shape. I think you'd expect a not so flattering body on a bigger woman.

With women, big or small, it's all about weight distribution. If nothing is sagging, flabbing, or rolling, it's all good. I'm not attracted to skinny or obese. I'm attracted to athletic or curvy women.

I've met plenty of sexy big women. They were well dressed, and there was something about them that stood out. Smooth skin, beautiful eyes, or beautiful hair. Many bigger women have beautiful faces that don't look as good if they lost weight.

That's my superficial opinion.

i've dated one or two women who were "pleasingly plump" even though it's not my preferred body type because they had amazing self esteem and confidence is sexy. oh, and they could also kick my a** in an aerobics class.

as for big and beautiful in the public eye? well, call me old fashioned but if i'd lived during her time i would have been pretty hot for Mama Cass.
