Why Isn't Ellen Page In Jack & Diane anymore?

I'm desperately seeking answers.I don't know if afterellen has already mentioned why but i need confirmation or at least some assurance.Whyyyyy????

I've been faithfully checking and rechecking imdb.com countless of times and seeing if ellen p has been listed back into the movie but it only looks to me as if though she pulled out.whereas her good friend olivia thirlby is still in it.plus they've unfortunately pushed it till 2010 which makes me super upset.is ellen p trying to push herself away from the lesbian typecast she's been getting lately or what?honestly,i thought she'd be perfect for the role.

lack of funding?

hey, i know that she said in a curve interview that they were waiting for funding or something, and now that the actors strike may happen it has most likely been put on hold. hense the 2010 release. i don't thnk they have replaced her,and i doubt that she would want to back away from this role for being typecast...cause she hasn't played a lesbien yet ...has she?? i'll be upset if she doesn't do it...the part actually sounds good.

Actors strike? Are you KIDDING me? God, I hate people in hollywood. Greedy bastards. Sorry to off topic it but ERGH.

I haven't heard about her OFFICALLY dropping out. It's pretty much on hold now. I heard that Olivia doesn't even know what's going on with the film really. So who knows. All I know is that I want to see Ellen in this film! and Olivia. She's amazing as well.
