ok so i've seen the

ok so i've seen the previews for this episode and all i have to say is if bette f*cks around with tina and jodie and doesn't make up her mind, i will be angry.. personally i want her to be with tina (so if she goes back to jodie, my little heart will break along with tina's) but at the same time, i don't want jodie to get hurt.. either way it's a loose loose situation.... but i'd definately rather see tibette together in the end..

Jodie and Bette's matching clothes

Did anyone noticed that Jodi, Bette and the Angelica's car seat in one scene all looked the same? Both women were wearing grey jackets with a red shirt and the car seat's seat belts were grey and the middle cushion was red. I wonder in the director was doing that on purpose, it was like everything was matching.

tasdj's picture

I saw the matching clothes and car seat too.

I thought it was rather weird. I don't know what the director's trying to say though.

I knew that they had to deal with the whole sex tape and Bette/Tina/Jodi triangle this episode, but did anybody else find this episode too dark and heavy? (if that makes any sense.) I think the only part I found funny was Dawn Denbo, who's awesome.

Free13's picture

this was a dark episode

everyone was intensely irritable for 80% of it. the breakfast scene was tense. I understand why.  The end of the bike ride was heavy also.

Alice/Tasha - I totally understand where Tasha's coming from.  LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS!! You can't base your decision to buy a house on "IF" you get the job at The Look.  I think this is just another example of how their fundamental values are very different.  I'm thinkin' Alice is gonna stray.  ::sigh::

Bette/Jodi - the matching was a lil'  "ER?" to me.  It broke my heart when she told Bette she was fine before they met.  :(

Adele and everyone else -  Adele got that ass.  period.  lol

lame build up

dont know about you all, but i thought the whole build up in last weeks episode about adelle's blackmail was a huge let down this week.  I was expecting something better than "i wanna be the director".  c'mon now!

Jodie - cant stand her character, although i did feel sorry for her last week.  I just cant get into the Jodi / Bette thing.  There's no chemistry between the two, and i just dont see her as a passionate or emotional lover for Bette.  IMHO

I do agree that Lover Cindy has about had enough.

Anyone else thinking Shane and Jenni might actually hook up??

Joelle's picture

I still LOVE Jenny and Niki

Please hell NO to Shenny. Don't ever HOOK up. maybe hang up. LoL

I Still want Jenny and Niki together!! Their chemistry is not something u can find easily!! They're just toooo cute together!!

Jenny and Niki will make it through!! Jenniki has hope! We still have season 6!

Harpy's picture

Jenny/Shane vs Jenny/Nikki

How can you say there is chemistry between Jenny and Nikki?  It's more infactuation than anything else.  Why would you even want the two of them together?  I just don't get it.

As far as Jenny and Shane are concerned -- I posted here during season 2 predicting they would get together.  Maybe I didn't expect it to take this long, but I think they'd be a good couple.  They are the ones with chemistry, not Nikki and Jenny.

Watch out for the pokey-ball! OMG!

Blazing chemistry

Oh my god, Mia and Kate (French) has the BEST chemistry on S5 of The L Word! Even Mia herself thinks Jenny + Niki is cute! I suppose Mia would be the one who knows BEST who HAS Chemistry with Jenny. Their chemistry is just blazing i don't understand why some pple cannot see it. I just don't get it.

Shane and Jenny should remain as friends, and Shane might even messed that up soon. Anyway, i dont think Shane deserves Jenny, or anyone.

Shenny

I've also got the feeling that Shane and Jenny are going to hook up. I've been thinking it since a few episodes ago. And after this episode, with the amazing chemistry in a scene with Mia and Kate, my hopes are up. Way up. If it doesn't develope into something, I will be sincerely disappointed. I love Shane and Jenny seperately, but them together would be awesome.
jdmbb6's picture

I love JENNIKI too!!

I hope they'll patch things up in the end... :(

They're my favorite couple this season! They also have the MOST passionate love scenes of all the S5 couples... with or without the toys :P

(Hopefully if they end up together, Niki will stay faithful long term....)

Mama Chaiken, all I want for Season 6 is Happy Jenniki. :D (...AND dana, AND carmen, AND lara..... lol)

Adele

I don't condone every bad thing Adele did up to this point (and except for the blackmail with the sex tape, I don't know if we'll ever find out how twisted she really is).  But there's a kind of quiet confidence about her, the way she was biding her time, letting Jenny trample all over her -- it's all very alluring to me.  With the speech she made in the meeting, she even had me almost convinced that letting her direct was the best thing to do.  (I said almost!)  And I agree, the build-up to the blackmail was a bit of a letdown.

And did anyone else turn away from the TV as soon as they saw what little Angelica was holding in Kit's office?  That whole sequence with Kit (at SheBar and then at The Planet) was one big roller coaster ride.  As much as I want to see her go all Foxy Brown, I'm glad she saw the light (with a little unintentional help from Bette).

Shenny!  I think something may be happening there as well.  Actually, I think if Max hadn't walked in, something may have happened.

And finally, I'd love to see lover Cindi grow some spine and out-Denbo Dawn Denbo.  I doubt the latter will happen though.

oy.

Everything good that happened, they showed on the previews. God DAMNIT they were bitchy nat breakfast. Jesus.

Tasha and Alice living together? Not gon' work.

Adele..she had a lot more going on with he rmotives than I thought, and i liked her explanation. or whatever.

Yeah the JoBette matching was like wtf? My heart went out to Jodi, even though she was kinda bitchy at the begining. But man did Bette walk out with her tail between her legs or what??

Kit is dumb.

Lover Cindi is dumb too, but i think she might retaliate.

I don't see Jenny and Shane doing it. I just think they're really cloe friends that people keep trying to put together.

I also don't see what the hype is about JeNikki. They have fun playful chemistry that lasted about 50 minutes. Nothing more. I wouldn't want to see themin a relationship, as Nkki is annoying as hell. They've brought in this super-peripheral characte and are trying to make her a main storyline. Ew. Nothnx.

But next week looks GOOOOOOOOOOD. (I know i said that last week but i mean it this time.)

I got a dick like a mule...with a big dick.

hi and lo-lights

just some random comments.

did anybody else love the way that adele entered the set when she became director?! for a minute i forgot how much i hated her and i felt like screaming SHABAM, FUCK YEAH! you go girl =)

i couldn't watch when angie was holding the 'toy'. i was PETRIFIED!!! on another note, i loved kit's acting after that, she finally realized that everything she'd been doing was becoming absurd.

i loved the ending! bette, tina and angie back to being a family. made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside... (unlike last episode's ending which left me wanting to kill the writers!)

i wish that fashion designer on the view was a little bit more attractive + talkative, then it would have been interesting to see what her and alice ended up doing. now i just really dont care about her... :S

SHENNY = NO!!!!! noooo way they're such good friends!! they're pretty much the only people who are that good friends and havent slept with eachother and it needs to stay that way. either way isnt shane still with molly? which nicely brings me to my next point --->

WHERE IS MOLLY?!?!

yay for jenny finally coming back down to earth.

that's

I would never be a straight girl's first lesbian experience, because being a straight girl's first lesbian experience is like teaching a baby how to roller skate: I'm dragging her ass around, she's screaming WEEEEE, and then my back hurts the next day!

Ewwwwww to shenny

I never want to see them hook up. Gross.

That buildup to adele was so stupid. I can't believe that was it.  Give me a break.

This episode sucked.

A few comments

I was really aggervated by the whole PMS thing through the whole episode, come on can we really find another reason why a bunch of women might be in a pissed off mood. I don't know one of their friends being hurt by the other, global warming, George Bush, sore butts from the Suburu ride something else besides f***ing PMS! Okay rant over!

I want my Alice back! What have they done to her?! Alice doesn't cheat, Alice doesn't out people for profession gain, come on people.

I was embarassed for Jodi, come on woman regain your dignity don't beg.

With all of the said I loved Bette, Tina and Angie as a family again. Sorry on another note can someone please do something with little Angie's hair, she's too cute to have her hair a mess.

Overall I liked the episode, even though it doesn't seem like it.

Love Tina, not Bette

I really enjoyed this episode. Although, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was one of the first episodes completed. Sam's flirting with Tina seemed very out of place. In episode 9, Sam told Tina she wanted to step back so that Tina and Bette can "work out their stuff." Showing her flirting with Tina just didn't make sense following that last exchange. Also, Bette's hair was much longer compared to the previous episodes! Did anyone else notice that?

I am glad that Bette and Jodi are over; I am not happy with the way it happened. Bette proved to be a total coward to the very end. When she told Jodi that she wants to fight "for their relationship", she had to have known those words gave Jodi false hope. She should have been direct from the moment they entered Bette's house, telling her she wanted to be her friend and that she is sorry for hurting her. I was also upset that she was willing to have sex with Jodi even though she didn't want her. I hated that Jodi was hoping to continue a relationship with Bette, but I am glad that her exit made Bette feel like crap.

I do hope that Tina and Bette can stay together, but I know better than to believe there won't be any problems. While Tina has evolved and realizes that she has made mistakes in the past, Bette's actions prove she has not.

Finally, here's hoping that Season 6 will be a good season!

Traveler's picture

Love this version of Tina ...

... with Bette. Bette's Bette, and I love her just as she is: brillant, loyal, strong-willed, and a lot wilder than she cares to admit. I think Bette is very afraid she's like just her philandering father, and having been witness to the pain and chaos he brought to her life and Kit's, spends a lot of time trying to surpress that side of herself, with disastrous results.

The new version of Tina knows Bette better than anyone else alive. She is well aware of her strengths and weaknesses. She is well aware of Bette's more destructive patterns and her need for control. And armed with this knowledge, she still really, really wants her. So much so that she instigates a sexual affair, despite knowing, the hard way, what it is like to be cheated on by Bette.

At this point, I think Bette and Tina are much better suited for each other than they were in season 1. Now Tina knows that when she needs to stand up to Bette, she can. And Bette knows that she has someone in her life who loves the real her. Plus they have the one of the cutest kids on the planet!

One a shallow note: what has Ms. Holloman done to herself? This season she's been rocking first class acting chops and a fabluous bod. Lordy, lordy, lordy ...
