first off i no the movie was just released, well over here at least, so i won't spoil it. for those who saw the movie.... what did u all think?? i'd give it an 8.5/10 only cuz it was predictable.... but it was funny. i didn't no Holland Taylor (Peggy Peabody) was in it tho.... i was like wtf. not a bad wtf, just i didn't expect her. imo Tina Fey (<3) played her role well as did Amy Poehler.... idk what else to say cuz i don't want to accidentally spoil ne thing.... just go out n see it. oh n Dara-WGN- when they said taint in the movie i was like lol. what did u all think??
I rated it to be about and 8/10, because it was definitely a great movie but I don't know, i would have liked a few more surprises i guess. Either way, it was money well spent, I may even go see it again tomorrow.

I'm surprised there isn't more discussion of this movie, given the evident love of Tina Fey on this site. I love 30 Rock, but I found this movie to be just okay. It wasn't as funny as I expected, and it wasn't particularly gay friendly. I wish they had stuck more to the "odd couple" theme throughout. That was the funniest part, but it only lasted for about one third of the movie. Then it devolved into a sappy and predictable melodramedy, with a pretty conventional ending. There was a lot of really funny stuff in the beginning (though I had already seen too much of it in the trailer), and I'm glad they didn't have a big work vs. motherhood struggle--I was expecting that cliche and was happy when it didn't appear.
It was funny, but not as funny as I thought it would be or as funny as it could have been. The shower scene was my favorite, by far though -- it was hysterical.
I loved the movie... I'll watch anything with Tina and Amy in it! I love those two together. And the shower scene was amazing! I could not stop laughing.

funny movie
The cast for this was a great mix but Fey and Poehler make this movie about surrogate mothering worth seeing.
