I signed up, I've been playing fantasy baseball and football for about 10 years. I do yahoo and sporting news. I won a few times, but last year finished near the bottom. I already had a yahoo team, now I have 2. My team's name is Obama for President :D. So far there are 13 teams, the league is almost full.

I keep getting a no such team error message. Scratch that, the league is full.

 How can we start another one if that's the case?

Sorry about the error. I can't believe it filled up this fast! Two years ago I was begging people to join and we eventually got eight - oh how AE has grown.

Anyway, I'll go start up a second league now. I would prefer not to have two teams in two AE leagues so would be happy to hand over the commissioner's job if someone wants to take over in the second league. Then I'll delete my second team so there's more room for everybody.

This is my first time doing anything fantasy... anyways go ass-kickers!

and yahoo won't let me... The page isn't loading or something so I shall try again tomorrow.. I've played for a couple of years in several different leagues, it's always fun and a way for me to get my competitiveness out!

I will be setting the draft status to "Ready" on March 18th, which means the draft will take place automatically sometime within 24-72 hours of that date. All teams should have their Pre-Draft Rankings set *before* the 18th to avoid disappointment.

This date change is due to the early start to the season this year: the Red Sox and A's open the season on March 25th in Japan.

We're still short of teams for the second league with the draft roughly a week away (I've been holding off posting the date for the second league in hopes that it would fill).

Three possible solutions:

1 - A few people from the first league can defect to the second, leaving us with a roughly 8/10 split :-/
2 - We allow multiple teams (first leaguers can have a team in the second)
3 - We open it up to family, friends, and allies

4 - More people sign up! Come on, you know you want to! ;)

Never tried a fantasy league before, though I have kicked some butt in hockey pools.... baseball not such a Canadian pastime. Never mind, I shall persevere.

The draft date for League Two (AfterEllen's Primo Pitchers) is March 20th. This will allow a little extra time for some stragglers to join.

There are seven spots left in the league and it's now open to AE First Leaguers wanting a second team and friends/family/allies of AEers (please don't invite your homophobic second cousin ;). Well, it's been open all along but this is an official call for more warm bodies. :)
