Hi from rainy LA

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a brand spankin' new member but have been visiting AE for awhile. I'm 42 but young in looks, mind and spirit. I live in Redondo Beach California which is part of Los Angeles but much nicer and prettier. In case you were curious my avatar picture is a character named Kuromi. She is a friend of My Melody which is part of the Hello Kitty world. I love her badass attitude, skullcap and devil's tail.

I'm hoping to meet new people and have some fun.

Hi welcome, I'm Nikki from Brighton England but currently studying in Vancouver until May/June. Will be heading down to California for Dinah Shore Weekend and my trip includes a day trip to LA

Nice to meet you. How's Vancouver? I love it up there. What are you studying?

LA is a big place. What are you trying to see in 1 day? Hopefully it will be warm and sunny not like today. It's usually quite nice here in the spring or most of the year.

Vancouver is call, went to Seattle for the day yesterday. Am studying film and communications. Well have booked a trip with this company for Dinah Shore weekend in April which includes a day trip to LA, I may try and come bk to LA after my uni term ends in April and before I go back to England

Did you get to go to Pike's Market Place and see the flying fish?

So you're studying film and communications. That sounds like a great industry to get into. LA is a great place to make connections so you might want to stop here in April and see what you can do.

yeah saw the market was closing when I got there though, saw all the fish but not as busy, still good though.

Yeah am hoping to get some work experience up here in Vancouver, whilst here hopefully and connections in LA would be awesome. Would have no idea where to start though

You could try networking in Vancouver considering they do alot of filming there. Maybe when you're getting your work experience you can ask for advice from people in the industry. Also maybe you could try posting a forum on AE and see if you get any responses. You have a few months to try. Good luck!
