From seeing Trojan Women by Euripides at the uni I teach at. 

a few things.

1) The set was gorgeous

2) The lights were gorgeous

3) any time an actor mentions the lights/set above the acting, it's a warning sign.

I haven't been sleeping well lately. I wake up in the wee hours (around 4 AM) and can't get back to sleep. Finally, I doze back off and fall into a deep sleep. Unfortunately, I have a giant gaggle (?) of wild turkeys that have been coming into the yard, on my porch, and gobbling and pecking--waking me out of my fabulous, desperately needed, deep sleep. Here is a pic of one of the hens. Do you have this problem?

  I had turkey problems in Brookline ,MA, which for those of you unfamiliar, is literally a mile or so from downtown Boston. Pre-cellphone picture days, it was hard to prove. My friend in Salisbury has counted up to 32 in his yard...

  Kinda Hitchcockian (it is so a word)....

The Pope has made a statement during his trip to Africa asserting that condoms exacerbate the problem of HIV/AIDS. The Catholic church have made made similar statements in Africa in multiple occasions, generally in French, English and Swahili, and using radio to broadcast these messages. In this way, they ensure at almost total coverage. 

For first time, the Lancet, one of the most prestigious publication on Medicine, lashed out on the Pope's statement. 

It doesn't surprise me that the Pope would misunderstand the tenets of science.  After all he doesn't take his stance based on the scientific method, he is busying getting his facts from "God"  Nor does it surprise me that we would say something that could begin an ethnic cleasning epidemic because of his mistatements.  Shame on the cardinals for voting in a member of the Nazi youth. 

I guess he didn't get the memo that he is a "placeholder" pope and it might serve him best to speak less.

however, the zombie that wrestled me for my brain took a hefty chunk out of it, which may have included my ability toward phrasology. Ah well. At least the vampire didn't bite down ALL the way ...
