Before throwing away or recyling a scratched or damaged CD, try to reapair it.

Firstly, clean it thoroughly with a lint free cloth or mild soap and a little bit of water. Hold the CD by the edge to pervent getting fingerprints on it. Polish it from the middle to the edge, not in a circular motion. If your CD still skips, try fixing it with a litle non-gel toothpaste. Dab some toothpaste on the end of your finger and rub it lightly onto the entire CD. Use a damp paper towel to remove the toothpaste, then dry it with a fresh paper towel. The Fine abrasive in the toothpaste might smooth out the scratch. You might also want to try car wax on a scratch.

 

Car Wax - Spread a cloth on a flat surface and place the CD on it, damaged side up. Then, holding the disc with one hand, use the other wipe the polsih into the affected area with a soft cloth. Wait for it to dry and buff using short, brisk strokes along the scratch, not across it. A cloth used sold to wipe glases or camera lenses will work well. Whne you can longer see the scratch, wash the disc with water and let it dry before playing.

 

The Toothpaste actually works wonders on getting scratches out of a CD. I used it today to repair one of my ps2 games that was badly scratched.

Hockey was so much fun! I've missed it so much. (just in case anyone is confuzzled we generally play field hockey down here not ice-hockey).

Jinxy, yes you need a big stick to play hockey, a nice graphite one, mine even had flames on it before the paint started coming off it.

And only my back is a bit sore so it was better than expected.

no, actually we went out lastnight for dinner...then out to a bar....(which is not normal-- I am semi-anti-bar--whatever that means) after all of that...we came home and put in the weeds dvd.  Gotta love weeds!  By the time we ended up sleeping it was late.  The woman needs to be at work m-f at 6am!  So....sometimes it's hard to get up everyday at 430:)

Our state banned smoking in bars....:)  Thank GOD!  I hate the smell of smoke in a bar...however, there is something sexy about smoke smell sometimes on chics (random).  I am not much of a drinker-- actually, my gf doesnt drink at all--or smoke--or anything bad for that matter--however, a good beer everynow and then is much needed! SInce i dont drink I get a good buzz over 2 beers.  Pathetic I know.. back in college---I could keep up....

When it comes to the smell of beer. I could just throw-up. It makes nausious. I think the government should bann smoking altogether and close down all the places that make  ciggerettes cigars and anything else like that. I am very light drinker if i would drink anything. I would get like a cosmo or something like that.

 Smell of beer?  wow, I think it smells good.  I mean, most chics I date hate beer too. thats funny. I enjoy a nice smooth vodka mixed with7up, slice of lemon. But, beer-- it will do.

 

Government banning ciggerettes?  wow, I am anti-government. I think whatever they touch turns to shit.  I believe in people's rights.  We have the right to do as we please as long as it doesn't harm other people.  You can smoke in a bar-- non-smoking people can choose to go in--etc.  I do not believe in giving our government anymore control than they already have.  I am anti-smoking--for myself that is.  You, or anyone else can choose what is right for you.  I dont' know... our government is out of control.  We are BRAINWASHED.

When it comes to the smell of beer, I just want to throw up. I am not sure why that is but I always feel like I have to when I smell it.

I also belive in peoples rights too. When I used to live in Florida they banned smoking in all public places at the time. I am not sure if that bann is still inforced or not.

I am going to have to use that 'drinking it through a tampon' line the next time one of my friends orders some weak drink...hehe. That makes me laugh.

yeah, when i lived in California it turned non-smoking-- it was nice.  I mean, i did feel bad for smokers, but, at least the weather was always nice-- they could smoke outside of bars and not freeze their asses off...here though, in Minnesota, its COLD!  Last time I was in Alaska it was non-smoking too...bummer:)
