I play the guitar (in a band). I'm also able to play several chords on the piano, a little bass, and a little drums.

The triangle, the maracas, the tambourine... I played the piano for 7 years when I was a kid and all I remember is row your boat!

but right now all my love and attention is dedicated to my electric guitar... my pretty pretty electric guitar... *drool* I'm gonna go and play with it right now... I don't think anyone can understand the sexyness of that instrument!

.. therefore, i play the piano.. but i too, do not know how to play violin, although i've always wanted to learn.

I also know how to play guitar.. self-taught.. whoop whoop!

that would be me. And as such, I can only read Bass Clef. I would love to learn hot to play the upright bass, however.

It's a long and winding story between me and the piano. I hated the practice and the teacher, when small. Hence no progress. I don't remember how I managed the weekly session with the teacher without touching the instrument the whole previous week...

I stopped playing when I became busy studying at high school senior year, but picked up again 10 years later and met a good teacher, who improved my performance significantly over the next 20 years! 

I am still fascinated at expressing emotions on the keyboard - emotions embedded in the notes of Chopin, Schubert, Beethoven, Bach etc., because I'm not good enough to express it fully.

After all I am not musically gifted, but playing the piano gives me so much joy and challenge.

I play the piano and clarinet, but...my "primary instrument" is voice.

I love intrumental music...especially when the musician is passionate.

i play bass, have for about 11 years now. can play string and electric. 

i also used to play ten sax and a little alto, but haven't done it in a few.

ahahahah. i play piano (started at the age of 4) .. i have to say i'm pretty good (scholarship in a music school in england), and i play trumpet as my second study though i never practice...

in my own time i practice the guitar (learning it myself) and i wanna do drums one day, hell yeah! =)

and on a side note i love to sing, but i'm definitely not a pro =D

Meg, I understand what you mean about the Cello. It's such a beautiful instrument. I wish I could play too =(

I play piano have been playing for about 10 years but I'm still crap at it, also play guitar and Drums,

and I play the didjeridu... it's difficult, Rolf Harris was underrated!

I've been playing the violin and keyboard/synthesizer for about 13 years now, although I'll have to admit there were some serious off-times in between. At the moment I'm basically trying to catch up on things I could have learned earlier if I'd had the time and patience. Especially the violin stuff can be a real pain if you haven't played in a long time - my left hand seems to have lost all its flexibility. Argh. XD

Still, I am planning to teach myself to play the guitar sometime. I've always wanted to do that. ^^

I used to play the flute some years ago but i had to give it up for my university studies :(

I am not good at singing and the flute was my way of expressing a sense of music.

However, i always wanted to play the guitar and the violin.

trumpet, all the way! which goes almost hand-in-hand with cornet and flugelhorn. piano/keyboard, also play guitar, bass, drums, didgeridoo (which is the complete opposite of trumpet, actually). also play saxes, trombone, flute, and any other percussion...xylophone, bongos, beer bottles, spoons, sticks, metal tubs, timpanis, gong, harmonica, etc etc. give me an instrument and i'll play it, music is my life. anyone else? starting a new band at the moment, we're always looking for new people to jam with.

i think musicians have a right to brag about how good we are and not have to apologize for it. underwear on the stage; 'nuff said.
