Cat Cora

Just stopped by for my daily dose of After Ellen, and my jaw literally dropped reading Best. Lesbian. Week. Ever - Cat Cora is gay? I really, really had no clue! Am I the only one who didn't see this one coming? Think I need to upgrade my radar...

Shock aside, this is really exciting! Always liked her (sometimes I watch Food Network for reasons other than, well...food!) And the fact that she's married with kids, and posing with her partner like it is the most natural thing in the world (as it should be!), is just really cool.

What a great way to start the day! :D

Edit: did some Cat Cora googling tonight and came across something very interesting...she pulled a Rachael Ray appearing all hot in FHM!

I guess Cat was never really in the closet. In her book, Cooking from the Hip, she first and foremost thanks Jennifer for her love and support. It was pretty well-known in the foodie world I think, but as she's been gaining popularity, it appears her personal life will become more foregrounded (as it usually does with budding fame, I suppose). Glad to see that she's getting recogition!

I always thought she was a little tomboyish, but in a straight way (!). She looks extremely comfortable in that photo with her partner and kids, so she must have been out for some time. Guess she just didn't feel the need to yell it from a rooftop! :D

All kidding aside, I saw Chef's Story featuring Cat on public television a few months back. They repeat the episodes every so often, so check your local listings! :)

i had no idea but i knew i liked her (there was just something about her)and now i know why. it's great that she is photographed with her family and so comfortable and they look so cute. Awwww!

I didn't notice any coverage of Cat being honored with the HRC's Hero Award. There are some pics floating around of Cat and her partner at the ceremony. Anyone catch her speech or anything like that? It seems she's becoming more and more visible and vocal.

Cat is one of my favorite chef's, ripping it up on Iron Chef: America (does anyone remember the Japanese one's with english dubbing?? they were soooo funny, oh man)

yeah, on the Giada note, DAMN she is so freaking hot. it frustrates me that she's so skinny though. doesn't she eat anything she cooks??? i just can't trust a chef who is that skinny! lol.

I stumbled on this short interview Curve magazine apparently did with Cat Cora. To me, this is the most she seems to have addressed her GLBT fans, although she still seems incredibly restrained.

I love Cat Cora she is so beautiful I too had no idea that she was gay till that BWE way back. I love it when she host other cooking shows I do not like her on IC but only because they put her in way too much makeup. (that and she loses 90% of the time.) She is such a natual beaty I really don't get that.
