The Second City's Next Comedy Legend

I apologize if it has already been brought to attention, but I searched and haven't seen any mention of it yet. Not even sure if I'm posting this in the right place...

Spoilers? Should I put up a warning? Oh well, I'll do it anyway.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

For only the third time that I know of (4th if you include Clay Aiken. Just kidding. I guess.), a member of the GLBTQ community has won a reality TV show. Megan McDowell has won 'The Second City's Next Comedy Legend'. This is actually kind of old news, but I only found out recently. I initially started watching the show but got preoccupied along the season and just finished watching the episodes hosted online at cbc.ca. The show also had another gay male contestant and Elvira Kurt, lesbian comic, was one of the three judges. Unlike Robert and Elvira, I don't believe she ever actually stated that she was gay; however, Elvira called her a cute dykey dykey or something like that after her audition, and during the finale Megan says something along the lines of, "I have the queer population rooting for me."

Er... I'm like 90% sure she's gay.

I don't think it aired in the US, and you can't watch the episodes online unless you're a resident of Canada. Just thought I'd give y'all a heads up in case it was under the radar.

I thought I was the only

I thought I was the only person who watched that show! heh. I loved the grin Megan shot back after at Elvira when she called her "quirky, dykey" in the audition.

I didn't think the show itself was that great, they kept cutting out of the middle of the improve bits, so you never knew what was going on, and you rarely got to see enough for them to be funny.

I thought Megan was very cute though. and Elvira is always awesome. I watched the whole series, mainly because of the two of them.
