I have just changed the settings on this forum so that users can upload and use their own avatars, in addition to using one of the 150 pre-uploaded ones or linking to an avatar elsewhere. The dimensions for your own avatar need to be 50 x 50 pixels.

First, follow this path:

drop-down menu on GO button-->"My Space"-->"Edit Profile"-->"Edit Your Avatar"

then to use one of ours:
-->choose one of the avatars shown and click "Select this one" and then close the window. Don't forget that there are several screens of avatars, so you don't have to pick one on just the first screen.

OR

to upload your own:
-->choose "Custom Avatar" and then either enter a URL or select "Upload Custom Avatar" and follow the directions, after which you should close the window->scroll down and hit "submit" to finalize the change to your profile.

Don't forget this last step - you need to hit "submit" on your profile edit page for the changes to stick!
