"I have dated and have had sex with men and women and have to say that the relationships I have had with certain women have been much more fulfilling, sexually and emotionally, than of those with certain men."
"My parents couldn't care less that my sister is a lesbian, married to a woman, and neither do they care about anything that makes me happy in life, even if it is doing a nude spread in FHM, or admitting that I have a love for women. They are very supportive."

Kristanna Loken is my newest idol. I first saw her on The L Word and noticed her immadiately for her acting talent and stunning good looks. I promptly (with the help of a friend who agrees with me about her absolute splendor) saw Bloodrayne and Terminator 3 and fell even more deeply and madly in love with her (figurately, of course- but she's worth exaggerating over). By the time I read her interviews on here my love was irrevocable. I have an enormous amount of respect for her, just wow.
It wasn't until now that it occured to me to google image her. It seems like there's other people who love the way she looks as much as I love her personality and acting. I was blown away once again! My god is this woman a grace to humankind! Simply gorgeous. Too bad she's 9 years older than me, haha!
That being said, my desktop background is now a stunning photo of her (and I NEVER change my background- this is huge) and I'm in the process of putting quotes on my walls (ones I had on my res room walls) which contain ones about her views on sexuality like this one: "I connect with an aura, with energy. And if the person with whom I connect happens to be a female, that’s just the way it is. That’s what makes my wheels turn.”
I hope she serves as the reason to come out to my family.
There must be some people who share this love! Speak now or forever... no that line is way too done. Just tell me you concur!
Thanks, msgulp. :) I didn't
Thanks, msgulp. :) I didn't see one on the first page so I assumed there wasn't one. Clearly I should have looked harder!
Okay, back to Painkiller Jane! :D

8O Wow. How tasteless can you get? :?
Kristanna Loken
If I wasnt so afraid of Michelle (who is sexy) I would say they would make a cute couple... How cool is that, that both Kristanna and her sister like women, I really love that!

No offence to you jetflight_girl, but your post is irresponsible and insensitive to say the least. We have people on this board from all over the world, most notably America and I don't think it is far-fetched to say one or two of them may have been involved or know someone who was involved in Hurricane Katrina.
Even if Hurricane Katrina directly affected no one here, it's in poor taste to be so disrespectful and callus about such a disaster. Hurricane Katrina was one of the deadliest hurricanes in US history, flooding over 80% of the city and killing thousands of people, leaving many more homeless and in desperate need of aide.
Once again, I don't mean any offence and I'm not trying to start an argument, I just feel that next time, a little forethought might be a good idea before posting something which is hugely disrespectful not only to America, but to every nation. You wouldn't (I hope) be so cold about the September 11th attacks or the London bombings or the recent tsunami, so please have a little more sensitivity for your fellow AE members.

I have to say, I'm from Louisiana and that was tacky.
Kristanna Loken
woah steady you guys- admittedly pretty tacky but so much more attention has been paid to that post since the complaints.
Also im in the UK and jokes were circulatng about the London bombings the week after it happened.
Funny or not- a joke is a joke- jetflight-girl obv didnt actually mean the wrds so easy up ppl.
In addition- Loken and Rodriguez... imagine the fireworks!!!
Kristanna Loken
Okay okay, I realize that we should all be sensitive to things like major disasters that have had a horrific impact on particular communities at the cost of many innocent lives.
HOWEVER, I'll jump in here ... have none of you heard of the increasingly popular 'Vin Diesel' or 'Chuck Norris' jokes?? These are just ridiculous statements so outlandish as to be funny, albeit tasteless from time to time. BUT, they are pretty common, and sort of ... I don't know ... allowed to be slightly non-PC because of their oeuvre/genre?
So, for example, I found these on the net (there are soooo many out there):
Hurricane Katrina was really Vin Diesel drip-drying after a swim.
Who would win: Vin Diesel vs God?
Trick question…VIN DIESEL IS GOD
Moses didn't part the Red Sea, he just led his men through Vin Diesel's wake.
You are what you eat. That is why Vin Diesel’s diet consists entirely of bricks, steel, and the tears of small children.
Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.
If you ask Chuck Norris what time it is, he always says, "Two seconds till." After you ask, "Two seconds to what?" he roundhouse kicks you in the face.
If you want a list of Chuck Norris' enemies, just check the extinct species list.
More at: http://www.duckshit.com/chuck-norris-jokes/
Etc. ... And plenty of the Vin Diesel or Chuck Norris jokes can seem pretty non-PC when read by themselves. But it's ... agh ... it's a genre of joke that if taken for ridiculousness and parody needn't be too offensive.
That's my two cents, at least.
Kristanna Loken
I agree that a joke is a joke, and it's inevitable that people are going to make jokes (however tacky it may be to do so) about such things. If you're doing that in your close knit circle of friends who you know are as open to tacky jokes as you (I use 'you' as a general word and not you specifically) may be, then okay. But I think it's more than a little insensitive to come onto a board of over 25,000 registered users, and say something like that, when it's more than likely that there are people here who were directly affected by Katrina.
*Kirsty steps off of her soap box and lets the thread continue* :)
Kristanna Loken
Agreed ^.
One of our mutual friends was born and raised in New Orleans, and she was (obviously) extremely affected by the tragedy there. Something tells me she wouldn't find the humour in that post either.
[b:4b04a7b5e0]Shadowboxer[/b:4b04a7b5e0], just because "everyone makes off-colour jokes" doesn't mean everyone wants to hear them, or that they have any place in a multi-cultural, friendly forum. I'd be on the same soapbox at the first Polack joke, or racist comment, etc. (in fact I have in the past).
That the comment came from someone in New Zealand just tells me they have no idea how hurtful the Hurricane Katrina tragedy was to this region and this country. So, IMHO, they needed to know that it's not acceptable.
*Jumps off soapbox, which has the amazing ability to raise when applicable*
Oh and [b:4b04a7b5e0]nikskorpio[/b:4b04a7b5e0], I appreciate you standing up and proving that our massive forum has at least one Gulf Coast resident on it. Cheers. :)

I wonder if jetflight_girl was from the US or from Lousiana and made the same comments would people have taken such an offense to it.

Probably. One of my own making such a tacky comment? Anyway when you go out of your way to open your mouth, er um...let your fingers do the talking and make certain comments you open yourself up to whatever response it provokes. That's the way it goes. If you don't like how people react to it maybe you shouldn't say anything, or just ignore the reactions.
So, Loken on TLW? If Michelle Rodriguez shows up I'll just EXPLODE! 8O

My comments would have been the same, no matter what part of the world jetflight_girl was from. I believe if she was in the USA then she may have had a little bit more tact, but either way, it was her comments that where highly offensive and not her nationality.
Kristanna Loken
On the contrary, if she was from the US I probably would have been [i:50b1d13270]more[/i:50b1d13270] offended (not less), since she would have had no excuse not to understand the enormity of Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath.
Soooo, Kristanna Loken? [img:50b1d13270]http://www.afterellen.com/emoticons/whistle.gif[/img:50b1d13270]
Kristanna Loken
So I guess a number of you would still be offended even if she was from the US. Maybe it's just the way I am b/c me and my friends were able to joke about Katrina, 9/11, Iraq war, and race. We know that it's a serious topic and all but we can only stay serious for so long with out making a joke out of it.

[quote:6a6048f6a9]Soooo, Kristanna Loken? [/quote:6a6048f6a9] I just wanna know how her character and Shane actually meet (maybe hookup?) at a PTA meeting? What the heck is Shane doing at a PTA meeting in the first place?? :dunno:

I think there's a big difference between jokes among friends and publishing an off-colour joke in the midst of a friendly discussion for 25,000+ strangers to read. It lacks any sort of context, privacy, or tact.
:dunno:

That's what I've heard too, but I can't imagine Shane or Kristanna doing the mother act. :? Maybe they're fast-forwarding five years and Shane is there with school-aged Angelica?
Kristanna Loken
Didn't I hear something about Shane's dad dying? What if she helping parent her siblings?
Kristanna Loken
Are there relationship possibilities or is it just a walk on??
Chaiken should so definaty go after Michelle Rodriguez, her coupled with pretty much anyone on the show (except possibly Manguss!) would be just....Yummy!
Kristanna Loken
I saw this video a few weeks ago on youtube. If you haven't watch it, go watch it. She is very beautiful. :D

Hell Yeeaah
Kristanna Loken
Thanks, Linda. Well before her romp with Pink, I had pegged KL as bi, I don't know why. Guess my gaydar is still up to par! :) I think it's cool as hell that she's so open about it.
Kristanna Loken
Yes I agree. Because of her openness about her sexuality, and because of the assumptions about Michelle Rodriguez' sexuality (castmates from "BloodRayne"), when photos of the two of them appeared last month it prompted comments about the possibility of a relationship.

Wow, they make sort of an odd-looking couple. Thanks for the pics. :) I'm sure Michelle got her "Kristanna lovin'" in before she went off to the slammer.
Kristanna Loken
Dang, I can't see those photos :x
Kristanna Loken
Really excited about her appearing on The L Word... :D

Totally worth the trade for New Orleans!
(Hurricane Katrina never happened - it was actually a goverernmental coverup to hide the fact the city was destroyed after a lover's quarrel between Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez over the latter's affair with Kristanna Loken.)
