Sophie Ward

Sophie Ward is a British actress, the daughter of actor Simon Ward. She was a Vogue model in the 80s, and in the 90s she starred on TV in 'A Village Affair', as a married woman who falls in love with another woman (played by Kerry Fox) and comes to realise that she is a lesbian. What made this particularly interesting was that, a couple of years later, Sophie herself (who had formerly been married and had children) came out in the British press as a lesbian, with an American partner called Rena Brannan. They have since married (well, as much as two women can 'marry' in the UK, anyway) - and I believe they were voted most romantic lesbian couple in a UK poll (though sadly it's not like there was a huge field to choose from!) I must say I love Sophie - she is so beautiful (especially love a picture of her with brown hair as a young actresss - she is naturally blonde).
